The Mattress Warehouse

If you want a quality mattress for a fair price this is the place to go. Not a fancy showroom but you can try the different mattresses without high pressure sales.
I purchased my mattress several moths ago and waited to make sure that it was good before reviewing. No complaints here I got a good deal and was treated fairly.

something is up with this mattress warehouse in Gilroy, we went in to buy a master bedroom set, a guest bedroom set, a coffee table and end tables. Our neighbor said to ask for Carlos, he was not in, an elderly man was there.
We showed him a picture I printed off the computer of what we wanted to order for the master bedroom., then going to the guest room etc. He said «I’m not going to quote you, your going to shop around for prices» I said «were here aren’t we? I don’t waste my time in life.
He said he didn’t want order from Ashley, they are made in Chine and are full of lead paint. (?) blah, blah, blah. went on flapping his lips.
I asked if he had books of high quality furniture, I saw a book on the desk and began to look through. TRYING to turn him around to help us, I said «You really shouldn’t lump everyone in one lump «He denied he did then said «I call it like I see it»
I was done, I told him he was acting like the back end of a donkey. From the start something was up with this man. He says“it takes one to know one. «ISH and a nasty person. I told him to read Unilocal, he said he would respond I was a mean old lady. Really? This was so weird.
I’m a biggie on customer service, if it’s not from the start, why would I think it would be after BUT something was up. It maybe a front and bookies in the back.
The good news, we went to a furniture store called ROSSO’S, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and ordered all. ask for ROD. amazing!!!
RUN from mattress warehouse. something is dishonest there. I’ll be calling BBB tomorrow.

I bought my cal king mattress here a wk ago. I had great experience trying to find the right mattress the older gentleman helped me, he was very patient. The reason for the 3 star, my mattress started to sink in from the neck part n hip area. I notified Carlos on thurs, he was suppose to stop by my house n do an inspection on Fri he never came. I finally spoke to the owner n he promised Carlos would come out on Sat. Well Carlos came out did the inspection, agreed that wasn’t normal n maybe it was a bad one from the warehouse. Since it was a weekend, there was nothing he can do til Monday… not cool. N he said maybe the warehouse would give me a differ one. It’s just sad I have to deal with aches n pains til then. It’s not their fault it was a bad mattress but I just wish they had a better back up plan, so costumers wouldn’t have to wait this long
UPDATE: I eventually received a new mattress pillow top and unfortunately it was also a defective one. The salesman (jack) was being very patient and couldn’t explain why that was happening, but the entire time he gave his word he would take care of his customer. I ended up getting a plush mattress as a replacement, received it yesterday n have to say I finally had a good nights sleep. I’m giving an extra star for the way they took care of the customer and how they listened to my problem. Not many stores, let alone salesman would go out of their way to make just one customer happy. I guess that’s the joy of going to a small business.

I am so happy to put this place on Unilocal!Wonderful all around, in every way. I got my very first queen bed with them five years ago. The owner assisted my mom and me, and he was so personable and professional. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, and he helped us pick an appropriate mattress within our budget, along with a frame and boxspring. We got free set up and delivery, and they took away my old twin bed for free as well. So easy!
Fast forward to today. I live with my boyfriend now, and we were ready for a new bed. I went to the store around 1pm, and the owner recognized me immediately! Still just as nice and helpful, but I worked more with one his employees, Carlos. He was clearly trained very well, and he listened to what I needed (a mattress that minimizes motion transfer — boyfriend is a restless sleeper!). He showed me two different beds that would fit what I needed and my budget. As a sidenote, no one works on commission here! What a relief. I knew I could trust what they were telling me.
I picked the bed I wanted, along with some amazing pillows. The owner actually owns the same bed I chose, and he said he couldn’t recommend it more. They asked when I wanted it delivered, and I said asap, so they asked, «Today okay?» Um, yes! :D
Here it is now, 4pm, and I’m laying on my new bed and pillows typing this review. I think I need to wrap it up because I’m about to fall asleep on this amazing masterpiece of a bed! Basically, it’s always a good thing to support local businesses, and this is one of the best in the South Bay. Prices are great, the service is fantastic, and you will not regret shopping here. Before I forget — they also sell other pieces of furniture, and I saw some beautiful couches, tables, etc. Check them out, please! :)
