Do you enjoy a Mayberry-type, small-town atmosphere? Do you have a couple of hours to spare? Do you wanna meet some friendly folks, perhaps buy a few items and then end up donating more money to some High School fundraisers, local businesses, and unofficial charities mostly held together by bakes sales and car washes? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then you might like this humble little market, just a few miles south of Portland. It’s not quite a destination… yet. But this market and a few other special occasion markets/bazaars in the area are always cute to check out. I like to grab a cup of joe at Happyrock and then putz around the surrounding 4 – 5 blocks looking for a good time. It’s mellow and sometimes sleepy, but always very friendly and cute. I’ve left empty handed a couple of times and left with bags others. Might not be worth the drive if you don’t live near, but if you’re passing South of P-town, go make some new friends and chip a couple bucks into the local kitty.
