Very happy with Dr Spagnolo! Wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else !! Highly recommend laser correction surgery, I’m so happy and it’s been more than 10 years now.

I’ve have been seeing Dr. Spagnolo for over 15 years. He is a phenomenal physician, who takes his time and has a great deal of patience with his patients.
My mother in law, who was already a patient of Dr. Spangolo’s for years before I knew she was, had both of her cataract surgeries with him, and they were a complete success. He was very thorough and all the staff were extremely friendly and courteous with all of the questions. I would highly recommend the center and know that if you have an issue, address it so that they can better help you and other patients.

The organization is fantastic. My wait was minimal and the staff was pleasant. The doctor actually listened to me and took his time in explaining not only my outcome, but also the procedures performed. I purchase my glasses in the optical shop and I was quite surprised at the reasonableness of the cost

Website functionality is mediocre, looked like it was completely failing to receive information even when the submission worked. Then the office called to make an appointment and didn’t seem to know I had already submitted all my information online. I showed up for my 1:30 appt at one pm, in case there were any other slip-​ups. Seems that 3 or even 4 people all had the same appt with the same doctor. Nothing happened, no one was being seen. Lots of staff coming and going, chatting at the front desk. At 1:45 I went to the desk to ask what was going on. I was told that the doctor had just returned from lunch. I started to ask why they scheduled me for a time when the appt could not possibly happen, but, confronted by a total lack of apology or acknowledgment that things were not going well, I asked for my money back. I expect my time to be valued, and I expect more efficiency in my medical care.

I had Lasik surgery 2 years ago, and have been so disappointed by the results. I am still wearing glasses after 2 surgical procedures. I would not recommend this practice to anyone; to these folks, it is just a money-​making business! Thousands of dollars spent for 2 failed Lasik surgeries. They do not care about their patients, just the bottom line. Dr. Spagnolo is condescending, patronizing, and arrogant. He blamed me for «dry eye» and that was why the procedure did not work as well as expected. Yet, he considered it a success because my vision improved incrementally.
They rush through the evaluation and examination, the doctor did not explain the details of the procedure or aftercare directions. They do not give you the paperwork until 10 minutes before your procedure, after having given you a sedative. Then ask you to re-​write a paragraph that says the procedure may not work, and you may still require glasses. Would you buy anything that may not work???

Danielle Jones is the consummate professional! At the end of the work day on a Friday afternoon, she took a considerable amount of time to ensure that my wife and I were taken care of during the selection of our frames.
She even took my phone call, without delay, to discuss my insurance benefits. Again, she was a total pro!

My daughter thought she was having some vision problems. I made an appointment here but had to wait a couple of weeks for the first available Saturday date. They suggest you register on-​line before you get here but I didn’t. The paperwork isn’t much more than any ordinary doctor’s office.
Everyone here was friendly and professional. My daughter was comfortable and pleased with her visit. I asked numerous questions and received competent answers.

I had my LASIK surgery completed here by Dr. Spagnolo… Everyone was kind and professional. I would recommend BW Eye to others for LASIK.

To add to my review, since three (3!!!) positive reviews have shown up in the same week, and two of them are the only reviews made by the accounts and attempting to counteract the damage Lori (e) has done, it makes me THAT MUCH MORE GLAD that I will never visit this business again. Talk about dishonest. :(

I buy my sons glasses here and saw them today. He does not see an opthomologist at this location. They are one of the few places in the area that carry toddler glasses. Everyone is fairly nice and helpful. Ive had one bad experience but mostly good. They do take some insurances. I would definately recommend them for childrens eye wear

My initial experience with the Baltimore Washington Eye Center was good because I was just getting new glasses. Everyone was nice and helpful and I received my glasses in a decent amount of time (I wanted them for wedding but they came in the day I was leaving to go out of town). Then I had to deal with Lori…
She was rude, when I was finally able to get her on the phone, and when I asked her to fax or email me my perscription she said I had to either come pick it up or she would mail it to me. Really? No fax/​email available? I call BS. Anyway, while on the phone she asked me what my previous perscription was and amazing enough that’s what my new perscription was as well, nevermind the fact that the perscription in my glasses changed. When I asked how this could be the case (just out of curiousity, not to argue) I was told that I needed to make an appointment and come in for another eye exam if I wanted to discuss it any further. No thanks, I’ll go elsewhere.
