During the purchase of our home(June 2013), the existing septic system failed the inspection and the sellers had Beall & Sons install new components of the septic system. In late July /August of 2013, we started to occasionally smell the septic system while we were sitting on our screened in porch. I called Beall & Sons to request that they come by and take a look at the system, as I was concerned that something was not operating properly. This wasnt an emergency call, so they assured me that they would be out within a week or so to take a look. Initially, they thought it was a tightness/sealant issue on the tank lid(if I remember correctly), so they made a quick fix. However, we had the same *lovely* smell while out on the porch that following week. I called Beall & Sons back and the team came back out pretty quickly after that. They did a more intrusive look at the system and determined that the NEW tank(purchased by the seller) had cracked/failed — an issue they had not experienced before with this same manufacturer(that they had used time and time again). To make a long story short — the company took care of the problem, including(1) going back and forth with the manufacturer to approve a modified installation(pouring concrete base to stabilize the bottom) so that the new tank would remain under warranty; and(2) replacing the tank under warranty for BOTH parts AND labor. The warranty only officially included the parts(the tank), but they stood by the quality of their work, and provided the labor/all services related to this issue(failure of tank due to manufacturer defect) at no additional fee. I’m very pleased with the support that we received from this local company in dealing with this issue, and will definitely be using them again(and recommending them highly).
