Chick-fil-A

I love Chick fil-​a, really I do. I know it’s fast food, but compared to other fast food restaurants, this is one of my favorites. However, this particular location is not my favorite. Yes, I received fast, friendly service but I just wasn’t as pleased and I’m going to tell you why. I received this lovely card in the mail about a month ago from Chick fil-​a which allows me to pick a free item of my choice (8-​piece nugget or sandwich) each month from September through November. Yay! I thought to myself. Today, I went to get my free 8-​piece nugget and the cashier tells me that I also get a free large drink. I was taken aback because the card doesn’t mention a free drink but hey, if she says it’s free, I’ll take it! Double yay! I thought to myself. I also ordered a medium fry. I received my total and felt that the price was odd for just a medium fry, over $ 3, but I threw the receipt in my purse not even thinking to look at it. Later, after I got home, I reviewed the receipt and indeed, I was charged for that soda that I didn’t even ask for… that I didn’t even care to have. Honestly, I’ve been battling a migraine all day so I didn’t feel like it was worth the battle for $ 2.
Also, by the time I got home, my food was on the cold side of things which means it must not have been too hot to begin with. I live in the area. It’s not like I had to drive all the way to the other side of town or anything.
Will I return to this Chick fil-​a? Probably so to get my other free items over the next 2 months or if I find myself in the dead Marley Station Mall for whatever reason. The card that I received in the mail can only be redeemed at the Marley Station Mall location. Even though I live close by, this was my first time visiting this particular Chick fil-​a location. I usually frequent the Chick fil-​a a little further down Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.

I always get good, friendly service at this location. It’s only a mall location, so seating is limited and there’s no play area, but it’s not a bad place.

Good food, but bad experience.
I went here on a Thursday with my 2 year old. After we sat down at the dining area I noticed a banner that said Kids eat free Thursdays from 5 – 7. I checked my phone and it was 6 PM yet I was charged for the kid’s meal.
Trying to ask for a refill here was impossible. One of the cashiers came around to one of the other tables asking if they needed anything. They told her no and she went back to the counter. I got up and stood to the side of the counter and was ignored. I love Chick fil a, but this will be the last time I go here for a meal.
