This review is for store in Columbia Mall, MD 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 410−715−0771 The store is not even listed on the Unilocal website so I picked the closest to them. Sunday 1÷5÷14 I went with my elderly mother to get her a pair of shoes. While in the process, some heavy set, extremely large woman walks by and rudely barks«excuse me». We both moved out of the way and then she returned and screamed even louder«excuse me» with a nasty attitude. Not only did she give me a chance to move, she had the meanest way of expressing it. Apparently it turns out, she was the Ass. Mgr there, not only was she not wearing the name tag to identify herself, she started to get even louder and asked my mother and I to leave the store. At that point, I told her I will once my mother is done putting on her shoes. She became very loud and came close as if she was going to push me out of the store. Another one of her associates, a kid in pink shirt stopped by as things were getting heated up. needless to say, both of them threatened me and my mom and the woman finally hit me hard on my left shoulder. She wouldn’t let go of my arm and my mother had to intervene for her to come to her senses. The kid immediately started to scream I assaulted her and she ran back into the back of the store. Mall security was called and I eventually left since both of them became belligerent. Later that evening, the police were called and we both agreed to not file charges. My main reason is because there were NO working cameras and the employees knew that and so they proceeded to harrass, threaten and accost my mother and myself. I can’t afford to get a lawyer when I can’t even prove mainly because Payless doesn’t care to provide safety for their customers and employs lying thugs. My bf called the risk assurance next day and was given a unsatisfying answer that there is really not much they can do. Although they will send an investigator out, they couldn’t say why there weren’t any cameras and/or reports from the store of this incident. None of this was reported at all to the corporate. This has been THE most scariest incident ever that has happened to me and completely out of the blue. There has been nothing done so far from the risk assurance office to look into this matter. The Ass. Mgr. should be fired, and other employees there need to disciplined for providing basic customer service and DEFINITELYNOT threatening their customers. I will be speaking to my local news to bring this incident to light.
