If you are close to this place visit, you MUST stop to get their cream of crab soup! It is the best around! I have had their crab cakes, they used to be a lot better, now they are about average(but huge) You cannot sit here and eat, it is a grab and go place which is a bummer. Family owned so they treat you well!

Not the same old crab cakes, it’s not a lump crab cakes with a bunch of filler like the competitors in the area, it’s a baseball sized crab cakes that tastes like your grandmother that grew up in South Baltimore mixed it up herself. The crabmeat is shredded because it’s mixed well and it’s not doughy at all. Must tries: crab cakes, shrimp salad, and malts. Not worth it: cream of crab, it’s not the best.

5 stars for the hush puppies and cream of crab soup. Real deal grub. Anyone who complains about the soup probably likes that runny sherry infused crap people try to pass off as cream of crab. It’s… Wait for it… CREAMY. Like the name says. Absolutely delicious!

I keep hearing«best crab cake go here.» Nope disagree. G & M much better. My boss raved about this place. I never saw its appeal. Crab cake was bland. I personally did not like this place but the BESTCRABCAKE debate is strong in Maryland. To each their own.

This is a real Baltimore Deli/Seafood place. Huge selection of food, acceptable prices, friendly staff and all of the local food staples make this place a homerun. Thier MD Crab Soup is some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve being going here for lunch for a couple of years now and have had them deliver for large work lunch meetings with great results

This place has a large selection of food. I enjoyed their ribs the first time, but have been disappointed every time after. Hoping to get the same fall off the juicy tenderness from the first time, I would order only to receive the opposite. The clam strip basket was fried so hard that we couldn’t eat it. Cloak and Dagger is really good and so is the variety of beverages. Hush puppies are yummy, and when the sour beef is in season it’s great. It seems that most of the sides are fried, which can leave them tasteless some times. There are still much more on the menu to try and I’m not giving up on the ribs.

Onion rings, shrimp salad, milkshakes and Malts= sooooooo good when it hits my lips Crab cake, cob salads, cream of crab soup, overall customer service = Not the best I’ve ever had but a pretty solid choice if you’re in the area Fried fish sandwiches, coleslaw, any of the cake/pie desserts = skip these, they’re more similar to boring hospital or school cafeteria food

Ennnnnh. First off, no self respecting marylander fries crabcakes. So Roy’s loses 2 stars off the bat and on top of that there was way too much filler. For the same price go to Little Grove carryout for a 10oz broiled crabcake with a side. Same quality as its mother restaurant Olive Grove and G&M.

Overpriced, previously frozen. A lot of hype.

Family has been coming here for years. Best Seafood to go around. Baseball crab cakes and cream of crab soup is the best thing ever. Tons of homemade deserts and sides everything made when ordered. Forever in love with this place.

Really popular with many of my neighbors as I do live in the area. I thought the food was okay(3 stars), but their milkshakes are AWESOME!

Very impressed from our first visit. We had sour beef and dumplings, the crab toast appetizer, the cream of crab soup and little roy crabcake sandwich. Generous portion size — great value for the price. All the food was excellent and the service was fast for a busy Friday night, too!

Just wanted to update my review since its been a little while. This place hasn’t changed a bit and that’s a good thing. Their cream of crab soup is still great and I still think there double dog footlong is better than Ann’s.

I’ve been coming here for years during lent. I’ve been here and G&M but I kinda prefer fried over broiled. I always order the baseball crabcake platter with two sides. I called in my order and it was ready upon arrival. I drove it all the way back to Baltimore and my food was still warm. The food is always good and they have a great selection of sodas, sides, salads and other items to add to your meal. Is it Friday yet? I can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been going to Roy’s on and off over the last 20 years and the food has always been great until last spring for me. I had been going through a crab legs craving for about a month and stopped couple times to get some and they were delicious until about a month after that and had problems twice with the legs being ice cold… Like right out of the fridge. Naturally the owner had them redone and took care of the bill. Wasn’t his fault, just question the hirees at times. I haven’t ordered any since as it kind of killed that. Friday night, I ordered crab dip. Shouldn’t have. Was in an aluminum foil container like food comes in but needed a much smaller container as the dip was only about half an inch across and was very bland. So disappointed. Never even tasted Old Bay or really anything other than mayo and cheese with the crab. It’s a shame cuz I usually love that place.

We decided we wanted seafood and we did not want to eat in but do carryout so Roy’s was the choice. We got the Tilapia dinner and honey ordered the cream of crab soup. The fish was so flaky and flavorful and not heavily salty, which I liked. I like seafood but I am very basic with my choices and am always scared to try new dishes. Roy’s is a quick go to in the area. My reason for three stars was the cost. I think they are a little over-priced for the amount of food you get.

I’ve been here twice. I must say its a nice sub shop and its local, nothing fancy. While I haven’t had it all the menu items the seafood I’ve tried has been good. Good: –Cream of crab soup –Onion rings –Shrimp salad sub –Seafood sub(my dad loves it) I look forward to trying more of the menu soon. If you come often they remember you by name. I noticed a lot of regulars when I go. I dont have anything bad to say about this place. Tip: This place always seems busy. I would suggest calling your order ahead unless you dont mind the wait.

I have been going to Roy’s Kwik Corner for years. They have the BEST Cream of Crab soup in town. Tonight I went and ordered the usual for our family of 6 and when I got home I realized my baseball crabcake was missing from my bag. I immediately called and was asked for my address so they could bring it to me! I could not believe they were going to drive my lost crabcake to my home. The level of service that they provided me tonight is why they have my business for life! Kudos!

I’m a Marylander and I have no problem saying some of the tastiest crab cakes come from Roy’s. The Baseball Crab Cake is one of the best deals for your buck and is downright tasty. Huge portion, plenty of crab, not too much filling, and just the right seasoning. Purchase a platter and you’ll get some tasty sides, especially their hush puppies. Honestly, I don’t mind this place is a take-out joint because we can just order the stuff and take it somewhere pleasant to eat. Nothing better than a summer day spent out in a park or on the deck eating tasty crab. If you’re passing through the area and want a good taste of Maryland, stop here!
