Been eating here my entire life; the staff actually knows my family by name at this point. It’s truly the best pizza in Glen Cove! If there’s one thing I’ll miss back at college, it’s being able to grab a slice of pizza here. Great renovations too since before they moved across the street, they really improved the place.

Great pizza! The mozzarella cheese they use is amazing. Anything parmigiana is always a good option here. Delicious garlic knots and pepperoni bites. Forest Pizza is the way to go if you’re in the area or a local.

I have eaten here frequently throughout my life as I grew up in Bayville and now work in the area. The pizza is pretty good other than any of their slices with chicken. Their chicken seems to be low quality with little white meat. Anything from the kitchen really isn’t too good. Their soups are never cooked long enough so the vegetables are always hard. Their marinara is really lack luster as well as their meatballs. The fact that their chicken cutlets are pretty bland makes the kitchen kind of pointless. The dining room is very nice and the staff are always very kind, saving this places rating. I go here strictly out of convenience and not knowing any decent pizzerias in the area.

All time favorite pizza ever! We really come all the way from Bergen county to get pizza from them. The owners are very friendly and the selection on display is amazing. Hands down best pizza place in the world!

Best pizza place in Glen Cove hands down. It’s the only one I go to. The chicken rolls are perfect. Get two sauces on the side, they usually only give one!

Pretty good pizza here and not to long of a wait. The workers are really nice as well, they won’t try and rush your order even if there busy. Plenty of seats to sit in with TV’s and all. I had the buffalo slice it was really good only thing that I could say would make it better is to have it a little more spicey. Is like a fast food pizza place everything is there if you just needa slice just have to wait for it to be toasted. It wasy first time here but I will definitely be coming back for more very soon.

According to my husband they make the best buffalo wings in Glen Cove. I like the Sicilian pizza.

We have been going to Forest Pizza since I met my husband in 1991. Nice family run business w prompt service. Their pizza is what keeps us coming back! Plenty of cheese, just the right amt of sauce, and the crust is always perfectly cooked.

I really enjoy this pizza place. I don’t usually eat anywhere else except the Pizza places in Brooklyn, Brooklyn pizza is the best. But since I live right next to this place and I order from here all the time they are really good. The staff is nice and always greets me, very kind and friendly. The place is very clean and looks beautiful. Very good food!

I admit I haven’t been here since I had some pretty mediocre pizza in the old place across the street in the King Kullen shopping center. With that said, none of other reviews would lead me to return. Not as good as Delicious? Wow, that says a lot because Delicious is just OK and also nothing really special. Can someone tell me why — in a big Italian-American enclave such as Glen Cove, with high quality places such as Razzano’s and St. Rocco’s Bakery — we cannot get better pizza?

When in Glenn Cove visit elsewhere. Forest Pizza is a nice enough restaurant laid-out with what seemed like there was no plan. Beverage refrigerators opportunistically placed and no thought was given it seems to what the customer would experience. Too bad because otherwise the space is nicely renovated with warm earth tones. Upon my entering from the parking lot, there was no indication of whether is was your run-of-the-mill self-service pizza joints(it was) or if there was table-side service(there wasn’t). The two folks behind the counter seemed to me as though they were the owners. They seemed uninterested and aloof and were successful despite themselves. I must have been sitting at the table at least ten minutes before I got up to ask whether or not there was any wait staff(I made eye contact with the folks behind the coutner several times) but not before I was first asked to give them a minute. Next to where we sat ourselves was an unbussed table. We placed our order and waited patiently all the while staring a the unbussed table wondering when it would be cleaned. Alas our order of a large pie with half sausage and a side order of sauteed broccoli rabe was ready for us to pickup from the counter. While ambiance and hospitality are important when I provide my opinion on restaurants I’m mostly concerned with the food(despite that I barely mentioned the food yet). So here I go: the pizza was horrible in my humble opinion. The ingredients were low-grade, the crust was way too thick and bready and while sometimes I like thick pizza the crust didn’t taste good. Moreover, the out-of-the-can sauce and ordinary sausage didn’t help the experience. Both were just low-cost and low grade. The sauteed rabe was half-cooked, clearly not blanched, tasted too bittler and seemed that it was quickly thrown together last minute rather than properly cooked. The only redeeming quality was that they didn’t charge us much lending to the old adage tha you get what you pay for. The last time I had similar pizza it was at some gritty NYC neighborhood – the type that movies are made of(think«Fort Apache: The Bronx»). So if they ever decide to do a screenplay about Forest City Pizza I propose they call it «Low quality, lack of service and low price: a recipe for disaster».

This is probably my favorite pizzeria in Glen Cove so far. They have a very nice selection of stuff. Their coupons are great. For $ 20 you can get a plain pie, wings, and garlic knots. You have to dip the wings in the buffalo sauce, as they come plain but I don’t mind. I also really like their Sicilian and Grandma slices.

My issue with Forest Pizza is that the meatballs are grey inside. I have ordered them several times but they do not add enough beef to them.

Eh, not as good as Delicious(okay, I have no idea what their new name is, if they even have one, but the boys at Delicious are like family to me) BUT these were the only guys that were open right after Sandy hit — and they literally worked themselves to exhaustion, feeding everyone as quickly as they could, until they ran out of the food. oh, the pizza was okay too. The food… I feel like I can’t really fairly judge their cooking after the hurricane of that kind of destruction, so I’ll have to go back, but their work ethic, service, and compassion for their community gives them 4 stars to ME. and obviously, my opinion is what counts.

Best thing about this place is the HUGEPIZZA slices. ANDTHEYDON“T FALLAPART! aka Awesome crust. I tried the linguine with white clam sauce. I really liked it. You should try it. Definitely a must. This place was open during hurricane Irene. Thank goodness.

Pizza /Pasta Wow– I was totally in need of something to suck up the remnants of the day out with the gang and it was getting a little late — Forest Pizza to the rescue! Great pizza that was the perfect end to a great day out! Big area to eat dinner there if you desire — I had takeout so not sure if they had waiter service or not. Parking lot.
