This is definitely a must when visiting NY. This place is not as good as CREAM in the Bay Area, but definitely the best ice cream cookie sandwich in NY. For only $ 1.75 for an ice cream sandwich, I don’t know why you would miss out on this. There is a huge variety of ice cream and cookies, I always get a different combination every time. Be prepared to wait in a long line around the block, but it will go by faster than you think. Come here after dinner for the perfect dessert!

I used to go here, but one experience totally disgusted me. I bought a coffee cake one day for a party, and it was FILLED with living insects. Absolutely horrible!

Had soggy fruit tarts and cannolis that were out too long. Maybe go for the bread instead.

Passable mid-august Apple Crumb Pie as part of a dessert sampling for a going-away-to-college party.

Great bread and open on Christmas… Nothing like a fresh French Baguette.

has that family owned feel to it. We came here on Thanksgiving day while trying to find a place for lunch. Many places were closed but this one. The staff is friendly and they offer many pastries. I give the 4 stars for their Meat bread. It is so delicious and crisp. Perhaps a bit pricey, but I’m glad I tried it. Cheesecakes are also good here

I added a star because the food has been better as well as the workers. Coffee is still bleh.

Italian Bakery. I’m not sure why they didn’t pick a more Italian name for this place but it is definitely a full line Italian bakery — loaded with yummy cakes /cookies and breads. The area it is in has a high concentration of Italians and thankfully there are plenty of cafes and such in the area. For those mornings where I just want a little something or a loaf of bread, this is the place to hit. The place always smells good and there are always a few old farts around having coffee and speaking to each other in Italian. Prices are average but the goods are fine and tasty. Parking in front.
