I have long hair for a guy and am very picky with who cuts my hair. I found Alina through a recommendation and after reading her reviews decided to give her a try. I was very pleased with the outcome as she took her time and understood and analyzed my hair. My hair tends to do its own thing if it’s not cut right. . She is so great at what she does! As someone who knows VERY little about hair and how to take care of hair, Iza does a great job helping me understand it all better. I first came here when I wanted to add some color to my hair, not knowing what I really wanted. Iza worked with what I gave her and produced something I really liked! Ever since then, I keep coming back because I can’t trust anyone else with my hair especially when it comes to highlights and balayages.
This studio is a bit far from me, but definitely worth the drive. It’s a very nice and clean place and is never too crowded because I believe it’s all appointment-​based. Parking can be found in the back and you can access is through an alley on Glenoaks or through the driveway on Western. Park on the roof and you can enter the studio through there! Unfortunately, there aren’t that many parking spaces on the roof, but I’ve always been lucky enough to find one.

Maria is my savior!!!
I recently went to another stylist that completely ruined my hair color and I needed major help. I booked an appointment with Maria ASAP to fix it. She listened to my concerns and gave me exactly what I wanted, she’s really knowledgeable and talented. I also really love that she never overbooks and completely gives you attention, not like other stylists that have an assistant doing everything while they’re MIA. My color and trim took around 2 – 2.5 hours which was amazing, she valued my time and didn’t keep me waiting for hours on end like other stylists do.
Other things I like: parking is easy and convenient, the salon is modern and clean, and it’s not chaotic and noisy which is nice. I’d definitely come back to see other stylists for special occasions and makeup because they all seem talented and professional.

My hair is my worst nightmare and Alina is the best stylist to manage it. Beyond that, Alina really cares for her customers. She has never turned me down, even when it’s last minute appointments ~ ensuring my hair needs are met. Her skills, dedication and care is what keeps me coming back.

Alina is an absolutely incredible colorist! A true gem! She knows what color works with your hair and is completely honestly on what she feels is best for what your looking for. If you want BIG, Wild and Crazy go to Ani she does amazing hair styles! I keep coming back and I’m never disappointed! She definitely understands what u are trying to accomplish. I told her I wanted curls and to make it look full and she gave me big beautiful curls and it lasted me the whole day! I recommend anyone who loves those similar hair styles like I do :-)

Alina is seriously awesome! She knew exactly what I wanted without damaging my hair. She not only is easy to talk to but very nice. I am a first time customer here and she made me feel as if I was a regular. Most definitely will return. Have to say this salon visit was worth my time and money. Thanks Alina!

Love everything about this salon.
Maria colors my hair and she does an amazing job. She gives me the perfect ombré and somehow manages to do it without frying the ends of my hair. After almost 10 years of highlighting and coloring my hair, it’s now the healthiest it’s ever been and it’s thanks to Maria. She also gives a great cut.
The salon is always clean and well kept. All the women that work there are very friendly and cheerful.

Love love love this place. Alina is the best. She always goes out of her way to provide the best service. She always takes me even when I call last minute. Such a sweetheart. The salon is very modern, with a great atmosphere. I wish I could be there everyday. Thank you, Alina, for being such a great person and hairstylist :)

Suzi is the best. She is very patient, listens and takes her time. She gives her honest opinions about what would look best on you. I received a lot of compliments for my hair and make up and everyone was asking where did I go or who was the make up artist? I would go to Suzi for hair and make again because she know how to satisfy the customer. Suzi, you are the best.

Alina is THE BEST! I receive so many compliments every time she gives me a cut and color. (Strangers have even stopped me on the street to ask where I get my hair done.) The salon is very clean and welcoming, and there is always parking available.

I go to Suzi for makeup and hair for any special occasions I have to attend. She is so sweet! She takes her time and makes sure you like how you look. I love how she doesn’t over book and takes you at your scheduled tome!

My hair was fried and destroyed from too much color and heat but it was already short. I didn’t want to chop my hair off too much but needed a cut and I needed to lose the blonde hair I was sporting.
Alina welcomed me in with a warm hello and she got straight to it. I showed her some pics and she got exactly what I wanted!!!
I’m not easily impressed with hairdressers and I’m extremely picky and particular over my hair but Alina was wonderful.

I followed Suzi to A La Mode Hair Studio. She has been my go-​to hair stylist for years. She’s super sweet, patient, and always listens to what you want. (Check her out on instagram — @suzicouture) She’s the best!
Another great thing about this hair studio is that everyone minds their own business. It’s not one of those hair salons you walk into and get weird looks and stares because you stand out like a sore thumb. It’s very welcoming, and clean too!

So Alina did hair about a month ago and I am still receiving compliments on how good it looks! She bleached my hair twice in one day and my hair did not get damaged! My hair is soft and healthy from the day she bleached till this day. I’m going back in August to bleach it again and hopefully reach silver which is the end goal! Thanks Alina

Suzi was the one who helped me with my hair, I actually discovered her because of her instagram and i’m so happy I did! I showed her a pic of what I wanted, and she did an amazing job, and it was exactly what I wanted. Suzi was so nice, cute and friendly as well, always making a conversation with you and making sure I was comfortable
Salon wasn’t so busy and was very clean!
Overall, I will be coming back here for all my hair care needs!

I have been going to Alina for the past 5 or so years and this review is LONG overdue. Before I started going to Alina, I would hit up Supercuts or other similarly priced salons as I did not think haircuts were worth any more than that. Then one day I was going to the Glendale/​Burbank area and needed a haircut urgently. I called the supercuts that I used to frequent, but they were really busy that day. So I checked out Unilocal and decided to treat myself to a haircut by Alina (she had 5 star reviews on Unilocal).
Right from the onset the experience was great. Alina was really professional, fun to talk to and really pampered the customer (she shampoos your hair before and after the haircut, which is a really nice touch). She doesn’t use clippers, but uses scissors and I really couldn’t believe the difference in the way my hair (and face) looked after she cut my hair. She seems to really understand facial bone structure and what kind of haircut will go with one’s facial features. I was super impressed — so much so, that I have been going to her once a month for the past 5+ years.
On my first visit to A La Mode, Alina had told me that once I get my hair cut by a proper stylist, I wouldn’t go back to supercuts — and she was right. I highly recommend Alina and feel it’s totally worth spending a little extra to get quality service.

I love my hair! I got a balayage done on my dark virgin hair with Annie and I am absolutely in love! I attempted to go with a groupon coupon, but I guess they were sold out… so I decided to get some color done on my hair nonetheless. It was quite pricey though. Was it worth it though, yes! She spent about 4 hours taking care of my hair and the outcome was fabulous! Annie was especially nice because she took me in even though it was pretty late. We started at 6pm and didn’t end until 10 pm. A real sweetheart. Just met her and felt like I’ve known her for years. It didn’t even feel like 4 hours with her doing my hair. So grateful for my new do.

Love love love Alina! I came here about 3 years ago after a year of various salons trying to fix a bad decision of dark brown hair (I’m a natural dirty blonde). I was recommended this spot, and Alina in particular, because of her mad color skills. I was not disappointed.
She was completely honest and to the point, which I appreciate. I don’t care how much I want a style or color, I still want the expert to tell me if it will look good or not. Alina does just that. I’ll never go somewhere else. Prices are fair for the end result. The salon is clean and tastefully decorated.
