This is a great independent(not part of a chain like Carvel!) neighborhood ice cream shop with really good HOMEMADE ice cream. What I also love about this place is… they have a freezer case with the most beautiful individually-packaged sorbets and ice cream sandwiches, which are just perfect for when you are having a party. In face, their sorbets, tartufo, ice cream sandwiches are so nice that I have been known to make a special trip there via subway, from ASTORIA, just to pick some up with my little cooler bag full of freezer packs. The mango sorbet will be filled into a scooped out half of mango skin. Lemon sorbet inside a scooped out lemon half, etc. And then each is inside their own clear plastic packaging. Really quite precious, and something I’ve never seen other high-end homemade ice cream shops offer.

I’ve been going here for years. This is one of the few really really great things on Myrtle Avenue in Glendale. The portions are very generous and really not expensive at all. Their flavors aren’t terribly adventurous but apparently exotic doesn’t sell in Glendale. Best flavors: good old vanilla, good old super dark chocolate, coffee(wow! I just can’t get this flavor at night — it will keep me up!), chocolate water ice, hazelnut, dulce de leche(when made into a milkshake it’s like amazing butterscotch), lemon sorbet, coconut almond and pistachio. As for the one-star review posted on 10÷2÷13? That is highly suspect. Not only is the description completely inaccurate, it was posted on 10÷2÷13. Anybody who is actually familiar with Artisanal Creamery would know that they are seasonal and close down right after Labor Day. So, we’re supposed to believe that this alleged reviewer waited for almost a month to post his alleged review giving the place one star. Why do some people post fake Unilocal reviews anyway?

Do Not really care For the place. If you like Tasteless Ice Cream This is a place for you. Help is Lazy and I ordered a Brownie Sundae and it was bad. The brownie was stale and the ice cream had no flavor. and his servings are small for his prices.

I had a lime Italian ice here that was very, very good. No booming A/C but staff was friendly, there is some semblance of seating despite the small dining area & the ice cream flavors are abundant. Stopped by here on my way back from the dentist since it was 90+ degrees outside, I had a walk home ahead of me & figured since I hadn’t been here, it was long past time for me to try something. I like the variation of Italian ice flavors. Sometime when my stomach can handle it, I’ll have to try their ice cream or gelato.

Yum! A great creamery in Ridgewood? This place is just too good to be true. I got a small scoop of the strawberry cheesecake ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. Rus ordered something that was mocha and nutty. Both were delicious… and our total was less than $ 6! They also have brownies, gelato, flavored ice and milk shakes. Yum! Great place to visit one a hot summer afternoon or evening.

LOVE the icecream here! It is homemade and delicious… better than coldstone just maybe less variety. But I’m all about quality and not quantity :) So this place honestly only lost a star because I wish it was more cozy. It just looks the same as those old carvels do inside with uncomfortable seating in the middle of the room. That wouldn’t stop me from going back though :)

They make their own ice creams and Gelatos. They are really tasty! One scoop seems to always be the size of a bowling ball too! I think the cones they make themselves as well. Also another favorite off mine. They are only open during the summer so make sure they are there before you go.

My family and I have loved this shop since the first day it opened. It is owned by the most charming Italian family and everything is homemade. They have ice cream, gelato, ices, cakes, coffees, smoothies and everything is good. My kids love chocolate fudge brownie and rainbow ice cream, my hubby sticks w the mocha almond fudge and I always have a new fave. I’m currently obsessed w coconut almond! Ice creams are creamy and the ices are the best I’ve ever had. They have an incredibly fresh flavor that you won’t find in any pizza shop or corner store. The cones are also homemade. I love when you can smell them cooking up a batch of waffle cones. And I LOVE their cannolis. Ice cream is reasonably priced at $ 3 for a scoop and $ 2 for a mini scoop, which is still big enough, that my youngest can never finish hers. Birthday cakes are delish and gorgeous. I’ve never had any problem w any of them being rude, either. It’s a family owned shop and they are nothing but nice and always courteous. Also, there are a few tables if you’d like to escape the heat and enjoy your treat. They aren’t open during winter and my kids are always super excited come spring, when this shop first opens it’s doors. A must try and a great addition to my neighborhood.

Discovered this place by accident one night after having dinner at Zum Stammtisch. Finally had a chance to return this afternoon. I had the cookie dough flavored ice cream in a waffle bowl, my boyfriend had the banana walnut fudge ice cream on a waffle cone. Their homemade ice cream blows Cold Stone out of the water.

This place is not that pricey cold stone is pricey, the ice cream are delicious with a premium flavor, and chocolate hazel nut taste exactly like a ferrero rocher chocolate delicious with some mint chocolate chips, they have strawberry cheese cake, cherry vanilla I can go on forever. The place is quite, clean and only open in the summer, there is usually one worker who is neither unpolite or friendly they are just. there which is fine by me as long as they give me my ice-cream 8), if u want mr softie ice cream then perhaps it’s expensive for u but this place has quality ice cream for a good price it’s a private business and they need to make a living

The ice cream, gelato and asst goodies here are so delicious! I love them… however the people who work here are really rude… I have been in many times and have often been ignored and skipped over in line for other customers.

Niiice cream. This place makes their own ice cream, gelato, italian ice, cannoli, ice cream sandwiches, paddle pops, and more. The lady had the pistachio; I had the butter pecan. Both were creamy and delicious, laden with crunchy, fresh nuts.

I trekked here from astoria by car with my gf. It’s hard to get here by public transportation I believe the nearest train station is the L and M at Wykoff. The place was not that crowded, we tipped the girl and tried the tiramisu gelato, cannoli icey, chocolate hazenut gelato, cookie dough ice cream, strawberry cheesecake ice cream, mocha almond fudge ice cream, dulce de leche, lemon sorbet, and mango sorbet. I was very impressed with everything. The ice cream and gelato was better than anything I’ve had in manhattan and the price was cheap. You’re able to have up to 4 flavors with 2 scoops since they have half scoops. I thought the place was momofuking good and high recommend it.
