SOOOGOOD! I got the gyro and the meat was tender and amazing!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We ordered from here for our New Year’s Eve gathering… After picking up the food and bringing it home, with such little time to spare before our guests arrived, we learned that the food was burned! We went back and informed the manager of the situation and instead of apologizing, we were told to «feed it to our dog» I was baffled at their response. Being a business owner myself, I would never make such a comment to ANY of my customers. I think that we were more than patient with this place and allowed for them to make us a new order; and to be quite honest. I wouldn’t even feed this food to my dog.

I’ve had 3 restaurants in 3 continents, and been in Glendale since 79(That’s over 36 years), as a habit I try any & all of my area eateries A to Z. I was so reluctant to write a review for this place, just because I didn’t want them to be known to everyone, so I can show em off when I need to as I have done time & time again. It’s my home & my kitchen away from home for the past 4 years. Not only all meat are seasoned &/or marinated properly, but are cooked to perfection. By far the best kabob house in tri-city … Side dishes are simply delicious no matter which tickles your fancy, and the rice is just like Grand-Ma used to make(don’t forget butter on it) … Healthy salads are another story, next time you’re there ask Armine to make you«Yervanian» salad(It’s not on the menu) Not that I ever look at menus. Just tell her what you feel like having, and she’ll arrange it. I just had to see what the negative reviews were, boy are they full of crap. This isn’t McD’s drive through, or Panda Express you know, it’s a restaurant, there are no precooked stuff here(Except dolma/Sarma & stuff). Most kabobs need up to 15 minutes or so on the flame, so don’t get your pantyhose tangled up if your food is not on the table before you sit down. Every time I go there(including today), I see familiar faces, which is the best indicator of customer satisfaction, just read the reviews below, see for yourself how many people use the facility or their service continuously on weekly basis. Here’s another secret which most are not privy to. Other restaurants & food places order food from here for themselves & their families, now if that doesn’t take the cake I don’t know what does. Funniest thing ever is when a first timer gets the bill, watch em how fast they pay & run out the door when no one is looking, thinking there was an error in billing. But don’t mention this to Hamik the owner, he may raise the prices. 8 bucks gets you sit down dinner dish enough for two with trimmings. Final analysis, try the place, spend 10 – 15 bucks or so, and you’ll be hooked for ever.

Great chicken kebab. The meat was perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. I read the bad reviews and I’m not sure if those people went on a bad day or what but I highly recommend this place. It is small and the cooking is not fast food. So if you are in a rush don’t get upset just eat at Carl’s Jr next door. The portions are big and the prices are low. Solid 4 star spot.

Nothing special just solid food! Just enough for a satisfying large meal! Visit this place during the ideal days for convenient service. The Lamb chops is highly recommended. If you’re looking for a perfect environment this would be the right place.

Food is okay, but service is very bad. The lady was very short and rude when I asked questions about the menu. She never came back to ask if I needed anything after serving my food. I had to wait for 5 mins to get hold of her to ask for the bill, even though the restaurant was completely empty.

Easy online ordering, took about 15 min, parked on the street right in front of restaurant(next to a 24⁄7 Clinic). Good lunch for good price. Balsamic rice is yums.

Honestly screw this place, we have to beg them to get food even though we’re paying!!! Waited 1hr for our order we go there to get it, «another 20 minutes», and they weren’t even busy, canceled our order got it from bravo, much tastier, much faster. Screw this place for real! Can’t run a business for shit.

I can’t confidently say that I know what all this food is *supposed* to taste like, but that aside, let’s make this about the most basic question — yummy or not yummy? — Matabbal-baba gannuj: a lot creamier than I expected, almost yogurt-y. Light flavor. Not bad, but not enticing enough to get again. — Home style pickles: recommended by my half-Armenian friend. Tart and refreshing, but kind of dried out like they had been hanging around for a while. — Luleh kebab: mmmm flavorful ground beef. I really enjoyed the neat, but the rice it came with was somewhat dry. — Chicken luleh: interestingly with a hint of citrus, like lemon and orange. Decent. — Beef shish kebab: very juicy with great flavor, and I was impressed by how tender it was. — Gyro: much more moist and herbaceous than other gyros I’ve had, and it was sauteed with onions. I enjoyed them, but my husband preferred the heartier/drier gyros we’ve had elsewhere. Service was decent, pleasant but not particularly quick or enthusiastic. I’d definitely consider coming back here if I’m in the area and craving some meat on the flame, but there are so many other places to check out!

That was really good… The flavors are unique to this restaurant, it is mild, but I do not have heartburn, and it’s sitting in my tummy like it’s on a down pillow. Loved my Hungarian skewer, tender– nice cuts, they don’t cut corners you can tell. Great salads, the pickle salad is sooo good and again, unique, never had anything like it, and that’s big in my book, taking an old favorite and giving me a spin I’ve never tried, really good. Loved it.

It’s good but I’ve had better. There’s just something lacking as far as flavor with rice and the luleh. The hummus is watery to me. Being that this place is in Glendale, they should be on top of it. Not to mention that the delivery takes forever. Don’t tell me(with an ugly attitude) that delivery will take 45min-hour if you actually don’t arrive on time.

I called a week in advance to order family style catering for an event. The owner, Hamik was super helpful and accommodating. The day I picked up my food, I was blown away! I had ordered for 30 people, but I could literally feed 40! The food was nicely designed, packaged, and ready to be served. The pricing was also very affordable. Their meat, hummus, and the different salads were so fresh! Hamik is very passionate about his food/menu. He was super nice and took the time to explain the popular dishes. Will return for more again!!! Oh, and my guests LOVED the food!

Best kabobs I’ve had in LA area. We tried the pork, ruleh, chicken breast and chicken thigh kabobs, and they were all so juicy and extremely tasty. The sides of hummus and ikra were delicious too. This will be my go to kabob place from now on. Service was also great and very kind.

I’m not a five star restaurant fan — I love passionately crafted food, flavoursome. For me generally lovingly made food always wins the day. Caravan is small, dark and sparsely decorated, from the outside you’re not sure of what you are going to get. Inside, the hospitality was top notch. Friendly, delicious flavours, beautiful presentation, accommodating of our requests. Made us mint tea with sugar cubes to suck on, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Get a meat platter — it’s to die for. Succulent and stunning.

Service is good here, but the food is pretty mediocre. We came and ordered a variety of kabobs and appetizers. The hummus and baba ghanoush were boring, and the lavash is cold(I know it is served like this sometimes, but it’s not my favorite.) I’ve tried the steak, spicy chicken, ground beef and ground chicken kabobs, and the only one I would recommend is the spicy chicken. Otherwise, this place is barely average in a city full of great middle eastern food.

I vacillate between this place and Café Bravo. I have yet to be disappointed thus far with any of their lunch specials(I’ve tried about half the choices). Everything has been cooked perfectly(no dry, overcooked meats yet) and the taste is good. I haven’t tried chicken a second time yet to confirm, but so far it seems the meat and pork are better choices. What I like about dining here over Café Bravo: — no long lines — cheaper lunch specials(reasonable prices!) — choice of fries with your entrée if you don’t want rice or salad — online ordering!(I use Eat24 all the time) — great service — thin bread rather than standard pita bread You can find parking on the street in front of the restaurant. I’ve parked at the Carl’s Jr lot, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed or not.

What a gem! I ordered a chicken breast kabob and sarma from here. My chicken kabob was juicy, well-spiced, and didn’t have any issues with texture(some places can really mess up chicken somehow). The plate had a grilled tomato and pepper which were delightful upon biting into. The hummus I got was great as well. My stuffed grape leaves were good. They had that citrus bite without having a lemon to squeeze on them. The rice was cooked properly inside, and the seasonings inside were on point. There was a bit too much of what seemed to be tomatoes, but that’s it. I definitely would love to dine in here next time.
