Devon Seafood + Steak

We had brunch at Devon’s and it was fabulous. The variety of food choices and the half price bottles of wine on Sundays definitely will bring me back. Our server, Mina, was very helpful and guiding us through the food stations and recommended a nice wine. She was good at allowing us time to talk and didn’t push us out the door. It was a great experience that I highly recommend.

Since they opened, I have been in five times. The latest was on Christmas Eve Eve with my mom. We have a shopping tradition for that night and decided to stop by for crab cake sustenance before heading out of Bayshore. The staff were SO nice and the service was great and quick. It was packed with people in their holiday cheer, but we sat at the bar and had delicious crab cakes while we strategized the rest of the night. I have had brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails here and have never been disappointed.

Seafood is marvelous. No place in town is better. The server, Sean C was truly the best. Personable and friendly. Very nice. Looking forward to another meal there soon.

Great Sunday brunch with a variety of tasty entrees. Staff is always friendly and drinks are excellent. Love the lobster mac n cheese, teriyaki wings and the prime rib. Cold bar has really good smoked salmon and seared Tuna

Another visit. Another 5 stars for their brunch. The fact that I ate too much is not their fault. I’ve been a few times since my first review and their food is consistently excellent. The price went up a bit — from $ 25 to $ 28 but it’s still well worth it.
One small issue was not with the food but with the chairs. They contain webbing underneath to hold up the seat cushion and that webbing seems to have stretched a little so you tend to sit very low in the chair and close to the table. I tried 2 other chairs, both of which appeared to have the same problem. I noticed other patrons also sitting a little low on their chairs. The booth seats did not have this problem.
This does not take away from my 5 star review on Devons.

Absolutely love their brunch. Great selection and very fresh food. Brittany is the best server we’ve ever had at any restaurant — extremely efficient and pleasant!

Unfortunately, I can no longer call Devon’s my favorite restaurant. I visited for my birthday, 11/​19, and again ¹²⁄₅. Both nights, the food was less than stellar. The shrimp scampi on my birthday was just horrible in comparison to my previous visit and the lobster Mac was dry, like it had sat in the sauce for hours. I was so disappointed last night as I had raved about Devon’s to the couple we dined with. They failed to bring out the requested steak sauce, the salmon was under cooked, the Brussels sprouts were burnt. My BF faked where the lobster and cheese was in the Mac n cheese. I hate to say that I won’t likely return based on the past two experiences. Too expensive to be disappointed twice in a row.

Great place for every thing. Service is top notch, deco is lux and low profile, comfortable seating with noise deducting water fall and other designs. Food is simply wonderful. It’s not too big in portion, but enough for a meal. Very typical elegant experience.
Parking is a bit of a pain — usually best bet is to park in the east of Boston store lot and walk over. The pity of being located in a mall I guess.

Love their crab cake and carrot cake:) their service r really nice:) the sea food here are the best. I pretty love the seafood combination dish. Btw, try their soup, nice!

One of the best happy Hours in town. We Love spending the Holidays at Devon. The view from the bar area to the courtyard of Bayshore is gorgeous. The giant Christmas tree outside all lit up just makes the it feel like Christmas.
As far as the food goes Devon serves it up correct.
Appetizers we loved:
MINI NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER ROLLS — Sweet bun, lobster salad, watercress — 4 stars as good as a lobster roll gets
CHIPOTLE GRILLED SHRIMP — Corn & black bean relish, lime sour cream — 3 stars great flavors
CALAMARI — Crisp fried with jalapeños and carrots — 4 stars — Unique spin on a classic dish
Creekstone Farms Sliders — 3 Little burgers of deliciousness
Entrees we loved:
MAPLE PLANK SALMON, bourbon glaze, whipped yukon gold potatoes, green beans with pecans — 4 stars — Delicious as it gets
PRETZEL CRUSTED TROUT herb roasted potatoes, haricot vert, frisee, bacon mustard vinaigrette — 4 stars — Trout was so good
Favorite Cocktails:
BOURBON BASIL SMASH — Maker’s Mark Bourbon, fresh-​squeezed lemon, basil, lemon zest served over crushed ice — This drink is unbelievable! Favorite hands down.
SPARKLING BLACKBERRY MARTINI — Stoli Vodka, Chambord, fresh-​squeezed lemon juice, Prosecco float — Second favorite drink but only if the right bartender is making it
Overall Devon has and is always a solid place to enjoy food and spirits in MKE.

Came here for brunch with the girlfriends. Good selection of hot and cold food. Great service with our server. Although, my friend did get her food accidentally sprayed with cleaning solution! This was done by another person while they were cleaning the table next to ours. Our server replaced the donuts and her beverage but we couldn’t wait for the replacement waffles… Long wait on the waffles!

This was the first time I’ve ever been here. A manufacturer rep was in town and wanted to take my staff out for steak dinner. I saw Devon’s had seafood and steaks so I made a reservation.
Pros: All of the food was incredible. I personally tasted the crab cakes, raw blue point oysters and crab stuffed hush puppies. My entrée was the seared sea scallops with asparagus lemon risotto. All of it was delicious.
Cons: Sloooooooow. It took 25 minutes between getting seated and having our first round of drinks delivered. When we got those drinks is when they first took our appetizer order. It was easily another 15 minutes for those to be delivered. It shouldn’t take 40+ minutes from the point of being seated to getting something to eat.
If part of your name is «Seafood + Steak» the ratio of dishes shouldn’t be 50 seafood dishes to 5 steak dishes. In fairness, the one guy in our group who did order steak said it was delicious.
Also, as pointed out by another reviewer, the chairs are terrible. I thought my butt was going to sink down to the floor.
Overall: If they can fix the speed of their service I would gladly raise my review to 5 stars. The food was great. Just get it to my table in a timely manner.

I should state I’m not a fan of chains, or restaurants in malls, but I’ll give Devon a pass on both as it’s a great place for lunch.
I typically run with something off their power lunch menu, and nothing I’ve ordered to date disappoints. My personal favorite is the fish taco’s with the strawberry salad. It’s very rare around here I find a lunch where I get good food, service, and something healthy in my stomach all at a great price.

If we come here for a nice date night dinner, brunch with friends, or lunch with family–
We have NEVER been disappointed with the food, drinks, or service. This last visit, we had oysters on the half she’ll with vinegar and shallots (if you haven’t tried it this way– amazing), lobster bisque which is creamy and you can taste the butter. For dinner I had scallops with lemon asparagus risotto and the husband had crab cakes that were spectacular– huge chunks of crab and not a lot of filler. It is a little pricey, but certainly worth every penny. Go here.
On a side note… Brandi W. was our waitress and was AMAZING.

If you have big business clients coming in, this is where you need to have your lunch meeting. The service is consistently good and they have a good variety of food that skews toward seafood but can accommodate any dietary restrictions. They also have private rooms if needed.
My favorite dish thus far has been their jumbo crab melt. Their biscuits they bring out to start are amazing as well. Last time, I found out they have specialty iced teas. I had a raspberry iced tea and it was amazing.

Descriptive phrase: fancy but approachable seafood.
Location: Bayshore Mall. Could be better.
Space: sorta classy, sorta fun, very nice.
Service: outstanding. Austin C made an amazing impression and stuck to his (perfect) recommendations.
Food: on-​point.
I liked their warm, buttery biscuits, and I hate biscuits. I liked their crab cakes ($ 17 for 4), and I rarely do. And I loved, absolutely loved their Char-​crusted Ahi Tuna ($ 34). It was a GIANT portion of perfectly-​seasoned and, yes, charred, Ahi tuna. I was astounded by how well it was cooked. And the bed of potatoes, asparagus, and sweet sauce was a thoughtful complement.
I’d absolutely return for some fresh seafood.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. Especially given the fact that it was a large group of us (35+ guests). The servers/​waiters were cordial and efficient.
I ordered the lobster bisque and almond encrusted tilapia. The bisque was delicious. The tilapia was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly. I truly enjoyed their biscuit. It was buttery, flaky and peppery. I would have asked for seconds (probably even thirds) if I hadn’t been with the bosses! ;)

We love eating here for special occasions and if you get on their mailing lists they’ll often send you $ 20-​$ 30 coupons for your birthday and other special occasions! This is a great brunch buffet for a family meal (Easter, Birthdays, etc.) because everyone will find something they like. They have very comfortable seating and roomy booths. Their service has always been good for us.
The brunch buffet is $ 24 and contains non-​alcoholic beverages, hot bar, omelette bar, carving station and cold bar.
Hot spread: Eggs, sausage, bacon, lobster mac and cheese, shrimp enchiladas, asparagus, and other veggies, teriyaki chicken wings and more.
Cold spread: Fruit, salad, ahi tuna, smoked salmon, veggies, cheese spread, and more.
Omelette bar: Standard. Eggs, toppings, etc.
Carving station: Standard.
Dessert station: cookies, tortes, brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, and some other things.
This really isn’t bad considering what you get and all of the options. This is a higher end buffet and is cheaper than if you go to some place like Poto where they advertise a food court type buffet for $ 5-​$ 10 more. I’ve never seen anything on the Potowatomi ads that competes with the quality or the environment that Devon will offer for a nicer meal.
Also, they have a private room you can ask for and they accept reservations (HIGHLY recommended on special events).

My review is 1 star because I got food poisoning from eating here.
We were shopping on Christmas Eve and stopped in for some snacks. Our server was delightful, the food tho was not very good, aside from the complimentary sweet biscuit, and 15 minutes after leaving both of mine and my husband’s stomachs were queasy.
(We had the tuna tartar and the way-​too-​greasy fried calamari)
Cut to a few hours later, and we were at our resort in Lake Geneva where we’d planned to spend Christmas skiing. Instead I was starting with an entire night of vomiting. The first thing that came up was the small amount of tuna that my stomach had refused to digest.
After that, soda, water, mucus. It was *very* bad, scary, and down right dangerous.
I spoke with management days later when I finally started feeling better (it took 5 days to recover!) and the woman I talked to was *very* kind and apologetic, refunding us our snack and offering us dinner vouchers I was in no way going to accept.
I’ve had food poisoning before, but never this bad.
I mean, I just had to write this, because that is NOT safe. Not at all.
