Electrolysis & Skincare By Stella

Hands down best Brazilian service I’ve ever gotten.
I wish Stella was closer to my home than work.
I would definitely come back check out her other services.

Stella did an excellent job with the threading of my eyebrows and upper lip. She finely tuned my eyebrows with tweezers and I have really nice eyebrows.
My problem is that the Unilocal location is way way off. Do not use the location in the Unilocal app. Enter the address on your Google maps or whatever map application you use.
This is the second business that I have used that has been located in the wrong spot.

The checklist I run through my head after a skincare experience to discern whether or not i’ll be going back looks something like this:
1. friendly/​comfortable environment
2. relaxing
3. professional
4. affordable ($ 60)
5. results
Stella met all my expectations and THEN SOME.
Like my fellow reviewers have said, she is very sweet and easy to talk to. My first appointment with her~ already felt like a part of the family.
Combine her kindness with her professionalism~ you get great advice, a painless experience, free water, and sincere compliments.
Past facialists made it seem like my face needed a LOT of work and that I needed to see them frequently in order to keep things under control (not to mention letting myself believe in «No intense pain, no gain») But an hour with Stella, my self esteem went up and I didn’t walk out of there looking like a freakshow

Stella is the sweetest person I’ve met in a long time! She just did my eyebrows and they’re absolutely flawless. I was expecting that since it was waxing it would hurt, but I was pleasantly surprised at how gentle she is. There was pleasant music playing in the background as well, making it a very relaxing experience.

I read so many good reviews from Unilocalers so I had to try it out for my wedding. I had never had threading done before, but she was fast and relatively painless. Since my mom liked the way my eyebrows came out she and my sister also went before my wedding.
The next time I went I got a facial done and she even popped mileas for only $ 20 extra. She said that doctor’s offices would charge $ 100. Anyway, the first part of the facials are so relaxing. The music she plays is soothing.
And yes it’s true. She is the sweetest person you’ll meet. She definitely makes you feel comfortable.

I have been to several places to have my eyebrows done, but I like Stella the best. She is gentle with the thread, but quick and efficient. She really takes a lot of care with her work and takes the time to get the eyebrows done right.
Also, she is so sweet! Some people might be put off by the location in her house, but really Get over it. She has a beautiful garden and the experience is soothing and relaxing. I would reccommend her to anyone.

Because of Samira’s review I tried Stella for waxing. I’ve been going to her for about 6 months now and I’m really happy I found her. I am really picky about caregivers and service providers, I want skill and warmth… and she has both. The fact that she is also a massage therapist is apparent in her touch and in her vibe… she likes people and likes providing quality service.
Newsflash — she has moved locations a couple months ago and works out of her home in Glendale now. I like it. It’s a sweet and keeps the cost down.

I can’t say enough about Stella — she really is fabulous. She is a professional, yet extremely friendly! She remembers everything you tell her, and asks about it on your next visit. It’s like having a great aunt who also does waxing and facials! :)
I’ve had a myriad of services from her, so I feel that I can give a comprehensive review of her great services! I even did electrolysis — which she is a genius at! Also, got waxed (um, various body parts — pretty much all of them!), facials, etc
In a city full of cheap nail salons that also do waxing, you rarely appreciate someone who does a great job that leaves your skin silky smooth, not red, and hits every hair! I hate going home from those other salons and discovering a wide strip of hair they missed on the back of my legs! You’d NEVER get this from Stella!
Her facials are fabulous. When my best friend got married, I set up a day of beauty for her with Stella — and she was seriously impressed! She cleans your skin well, but doesn’t leave marks — and gives you tons of great advice.
And her eyebrow waxes are sooooooo good I can’t go anywhere else. Seriously rivals places like Anastasia in Beverly Hills. She spends a good 15 – 20 minutes the first time sculpting your brows –they look so good that I’ve gotten compliments from complete strangers on my eyebrows! Weird, but nice!
And her prices are awesome — extremely affordable. $ 15 for an eyebrow wax, full leg was like $ 40-​ish and her facials are only $ 60 — and she seriously spends like an hour and a half on them, including a neck and shoulder massage!
*****UPDATED: As noted in the review above, Stella is now located in La Crescenta — just on the border close to Glendale/​Montrose. It’s fun to go there because downtown Montrose is soooo adorable and the Berolina Bakery is awesome! Yum!****
