Tracy & Roger catered our Kentucky Derby Day party. Our guests raved about the menu they prepared, especially the bourbon meatballs, cannelloni bean bruschetta and hot«brown bites» appetizer. We have eaten several of the items on their menu and have always been extremely delighted with the quality. We highly recommend Frank’s Famous for your next meal or event. Brenda. La Crescenta.

My family and I love this place! Truth be told we are pretty lucky because we live within walking distance and might starve without it! Everything on their menu is fresh, clean and delicious. The salads, sandwiches, and chili(okay not so clean) are my favorite. If you get the lunch combo you get a lot for what you’re paying for. The owner and entire staff are extremely pleasant and always add personal touches when packing up to go orders which make it nice when you’re in a rush! Two thumbs up :)

My good thing to say is the lady was a doll that helped me. I had the half tuna sandwich, famous chili and a half frank’s salad. All this was $ 20.00 and couldn’t believe it. Famous Three Meat Chili– was not edible at all. Super greasy and I think I had a heart attack by looking at it. Franks salad– decent Tuna salad– it was okay

I saw a few pictures of their panini sandwiches and immediately had to have one. It’s a small deli/bakery with a few tables inside and a few more out front, decorated like a small town family dining room, very comfortable. The lady at the counter was very sweet and the women in back who came out to bring orders to tables and were also very nice. The crowd inside was mostly older and seemed to be regulars judging by their interactions with the staff. I had the ham and cheese with spinach and apple and a small garden salad. The sandwich was buttery and tasty, but some of the flavors were overwhelmed and lost in the toasting. The salad was very fresh and refreshing, and decent size for a small. I’d certainly go back again, there are enough menu choices to keep the exploration going for a very long while.

A friend invited me here to wrap up the weekend. It’s cute! A small bakery restaurant with a great lunch spread. I got the #12 with various cured meats, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The bread… Oh, the bread does not disappoint. You know it’s been recently baked as soon as you take the first bite.

Went here on my lunch from work, service is very nice but the food was ok. I ordered the turkey sandwich on french roll and it was pretty dry. My kids had the chicken fingers and they were very dry and hard. Their cookies were not soft. Although everyone who worked there was nice, I wouldn’t go back.

Horrible experience. Girl taking our order was totally out of it. My friend explained her order multiple times and they got it totally wrong. Never going back here. Save yourself the trouble and don’t go here.

First time at Franks today. Loved it. Really fresh and delicious! The French bread was amazing! Nice people there too! And, they deliver! I will be back Frank!

I’m still a fan of this place, but there is always something annoying that happens when I go. Something is always out or some sandwich meats aren’t available because it isn’t marinated or prepped yet. Additionally, I’ve been 4 times and although the sandwiches are always good they come out wrong initially every single time. I would guess this is because there are usually younger employees in the kitchen and they either don’t know the menu or don’t pay attention to the orders. Still, good overall, but sometimes frustrating.

Very friendly service, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s a small place but there is plenty of outside seating too. I highly recommend going here.

My first experience here was so good I felt like calling after I finished my lunch to tell them and to say thank you! I ordered a half Club sandwich over the phone. The lady who took my order was very polite and efficient. It was ready to collect in 10 minutes. This sandwich was epic! I have not bread that good here in America before. Chicken was delicious and still warm. The ingredients were well balanced and made a flavorful and juicy filling. I also got a delicious little side of potato salad for free! My lunch was perfect– Just right for someone really hungry, who needs to eat but doesn’t want to get fat!!! hahaha! and that was for under $ 8! Woohoo! As good as it gets!

Their salads are so fresh. I’ve never had any salads with such fresh vegetables other than here! Their sandwiches are really good too. I always order for delivery and enjoy their mandarin salad or chopped BBQ chicken salad. Their pesto chicken sandwich is really good as well. If your really hungry and want something kind of heavy, try their Roger’s jumbo breakfast burrito. Of all the times I’ve ordered from here, I was never disappointed.

I am so sad to have to review this place negatively because the food was so good but the service of delivery was not only slow but irresponsible. We ordered via the eat24 app and it stated a 40 – 60 minute wait time. After an hour and twenty minutes we called and the woman who answered offered no apology and said our box was sitting waiting to be delivered and it would come soon. I should have canceled because even though they are two miles away it took 20 more minutes. We waited one hour and forty minutes for a simple order. They offered no discount or refund and took no responsibility. Some of the food was cold of course. I would highly recommend that you are careful to order from here because of our terrible experience.

came to Franks cause a buddy from work said there sandwiches were some of the best in Montrose. very unimpressed. I got the hot pastrami. the meat was ok but was dry and not warm at all. the bread was the worst part. I ordered soft Italian but it was clearly crunchy and super crumbly. kinda seemed old and not fresh at all. pastries looked good but as far as a deli goes I was disappointed. won’t be back.

$ 12 for a breakfast burrito, HUH? $ 12 for the half sandwich/cup of soup«Special», but the same two items are $ 10.50 if just ordered separately.(HUH? what kind of «special» is that?) We’d had a great chocolate layer cake here months back, this time the chocolate cake was a dry, stale, tasteless, hard hunk of a sheet cake with some strange flavorless«icing» squirted on top like an afterthought. I’m not sure if they are under new management or something, but that cake had to be at least a week old. As for the ice cream, it was inedible. I’ll have to tell Dr. Bob that this joint is giving his ice cream a bad name. It was old and flavorless and full of iciness. I imagine at some point it melted and was re-frozen. Horrible. The cookies are still good and that’s what my two stars are for. Probably should be one and a half stars, because they charge tax on take-out bakery items which is against the law. They think it’s okay because they’re a sandwich shop with tables, but nope, ask Porto’s in Burbank, they don’t charge tax on the takeout bakery items.

Great sandwiches. Not the best service. We ordered online, and when we went to pick up our order, the lady behind the counter wasn’t the friendliest. She told us that our order didn’t go through, and when we ordered again, she told us(in a somewhat condescending fashion) that it would take a little while. Then when we got home, we realized that they didn’t even pack the potato salads that come with the sandwich orders. Lame.

Found this place through trip advisor. It’s one of the top restaurants in Glendale. They have a great way to order and pay online. Especially if you’re in a hurry all you have to do is pick up! I walked in to pick up my order was not greeted, there was a lady helping another client make an order of cookies. 5 minutes passed two other employees came in and out and no help. After 10 minutes when she was checking the other lady out and about done she asked if I had a Togo order and handed me the sandwiches. We ordered two full size sandwiches with a side of potato salad and another the macaroni salad. The sandwich was good… Great bread and quality ingredients. The potato and macaroni salads were literally a spoon. That’s the only downfall to the meal itself… All that for $ 17 which on the high side but the subs are about 1′ long.

My husband and I always get the #34 on the menu. It is our favorite. Coming to Franks is like a special treat for us. The people are sooooo nice and every time we are in town we go here. I don’t have a single complaint. My favorite sandwich is from this place! It was love at first bite!

This review is for their pies only! Our Thanksgiving lunch at work was complimented with baked pies from Frank’s. A nice welcome to any meal, their pies are delicious and are packed full of tasty fruits and fillings. Pumpkin: Typical pumpkin filling, a bit bland if had cold. Make sure to heat this up. Pumpkin Spice: Didn’t know what this was at first, it’s definitely pumpkin with a twist! Traditional Apple: Several inches of sliced, halved apples, seasoned with cinnamon. Serve with ice cream on the side. Blueberry: Not tart, soft and sweet blueberries and filling. We’ve used Frank’s in previous years to cater the full meal, and while it’s been a year since I’ve had their food, from what I can remember, it was as tasty as a home cooked meal.

Frank’s is still hanging in there. I actually feel bad in the sense that I thought they were out of business(judging from a lot of people, it looks like that’s not an uncommon perception after hearing about their well-publicized financial troubles). Now, the size of the restaurant has been chopped in half in what I can assume is a way to save some money on rent and focus almost exclusively on to go orders. The food itself is quite delicious. Sandwiches ARE a little pricier than elsewhere, with most whole sandwiches in the $ 8 or $ 9 range, but they’re really quite good and the ingredients are quality stuff. The Dutch Crunch sourdough roll is also a killer choice for sandwiches. I recommend the #3. Unfortunately, their hours SUCK. They close at 6pm Monday through Friday, which completely guts their ability to let people get dinners to go, and they close even earlier at 4pm on Saturday. On Sunday, they’re completely closed. I’m not going to speak for everyone, but one of the problems why I don’t eat at Frank’s more often is that they’re not open when I’m hungry. They have a lot of great stuff, but I typically splurge on a meal for dinner, not lunch. I want to spend money in there, but guess what? I don’t usually get hungry enough to eat a full-sized sandwich before 6! Shame, too. The food really is tasty.
