This restaurant/café is small and charming. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You will be tempted to fill up on the delicious appetizers. The best are mast mousir, mast o khiar, the eggplant dip and the walnut and cheese plate. All of the entrees are exceptional. The standout is the koobideh kabob. Served on fluffy basmati rice with a roasted tomato, this dish will have you coming back again and again. There is no other food like it. Honorable mention goes to the Cornish hen. Not my personal favorite, it is my husband’s, but it is very juicy and flavorful also served on fluffy basmati rice with roasted tomato. Be sure to finish your meal with Persian tea and a couple of bamieh. If you don’t have time to dine in– get it to go and enjoy at home. Be prepared for difficulties parking.

We ordered the chicken breast plate, marinated tender beef wrap and side of hummus. Chicken breast kabob plate was excellent. 8 really tender pieces of chicken, good sized. Took 3 home for left overs. The plate also included rice, roasted tomato and jalapeño. The wife liked her marinated tender beef wrap and the jalapeño from my plate. I will go back if in Glendale again.

Where do I start? The staff here are so nice! They make you feel special. The food I had was amazing. Appetizers to have for sure are yogurt and shallots, the bean dish, salad olvieh and mirzaghassemi. Yumm! Main course had the traditional kabob koobideh, barg, and the two types of chicken and it was mouthwatering. Kabob barg melts in your mouth. Now that I know they do catering can’t wait to use them for an event or party.

The BBQ is great! i had the chicken plate, but I cant say this place was 5 star worthy. The rice was old and tasted disgusting at best. We usually get Hummus or some salad with our meal from similar resturants and nothing came with it except for a half cooked tomato. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5 for having good chicken BBQ

Fantastic little casual hole in the wall. It’s safe, clean, there’s tons of parking and the food and customer service is wonderful. I get the feelings lots of locals come here. I loved their beef luleh aka Koobideh. Their beef kabobs also looked very nice. Apparently they are known to have the best lamb heart dish in Los Angeles magazine, but we didn’t try that. Overall great experience. The owner is such a lovely guy. Will definitely be back to try more food! A lot of locals like to dine outside and smoke cigarettes, we dined inside, the air conditioning was pretty strong. I’ve never been to Armenia, but something tells me if I did the experience would be similar. Great food, slow dining and friendly service.

Extremely over priced. «Shish kabob wrap» was overloaded with onions and barely had any shish kabob in it at all. Elena’s is a few blocks down the street, costs half the price, gives twice as much food, and provides better service. I feel robbed, I’m still hungry. Will never come here again.

Worst customer service I’ve ever got! Try to ask price and you’ll get in trouble. I was trying to place an order over the phone and the person was very rude! I tried to ask the price(which seems very logical for a first time customer), the old man got angry and for some reason started to yell at me!!! Need I add more?! Found another place very close to this one — Golden Fork. Vey happy with the service and the food!

Don’t get fooled by stars, check the other one star ratings of this place which holds true for this place. Worst chicken kabob(thigh). The place was empty when I reached at peak lunch hour. I should have understood it. I had ordered a «to go». I requested some spicy sauce, lady tells me «We don’t give sauce for«To Go» in a rude way. Next, I picked my food to eat in the car. First of all, food was cold. Kabob looked like it was sprinkled with little salt and pepper and cooked in microwave for 5 minutes. There was nothing kabob flavor on it and chicken tastes horrible and stale, very bad quality meat, beware. The wrap was rubbery and hard with large chunks of lettuce just thrown on top of it with one or two small pieces of chicken, no dressing no spices, flavorless. You call this a middle eastern food??? Stop fooling your customers, any fast food would taste better and fresher than this. I called the owner just to let him know about the bad food so he could improve improve quality in future but surprisingly he tells me very rudely, «If you want refund, you have to get the food back mostly uneaten». Well, I was not looking for a refund, I already had driven far away to even go back with that crap food for a refund. I told him that I had couple bites and I dumped in a plastic bag to trash it. He said, «you have to bring it and most of it should be uneaten» in a very rude way. I trashed 80% of the food and after an hour or so, my tummy got sick and I felt like puking. Then I got sicker. Later, I flushed it out of my system with lots of laxatives and felt better. I couldn’t eat anything after eating this crap that day. Well, I was fooled by the 4 and 5 stars and missed to review one star ratings. I learnt a lesson. It was one of the worst food I had ever eaten in my life. Even thinking of it makes me puke… yewwww… I won’t be able eat chicken for couple days, :-( Thanks for making me sick and ruining my appetite, what a disgrace to middle eastern food :-(

Just had our event catered from here!!! As usual the food was FANTASTIC! The food was professionally packaged, ordering process was quick and easy and most importantly food was prepared and delivered on time! We ordered: feta basil croissant sandwiches mortadella sandwiches lavash wrap kebab sandwiches and turkey sandwiches. We also had yogurt w/shallot, yogurt w/cucumber, eggplant salad(eekra), hummus, salad shirazi and pickled vegetables as appetizers. Thank you Juliet and the Moon Mart team for helping us host our family event, our guests were not disappointed!

Never have a had food this bad! My coworkers and I decided to order from this place. Everyone was upset and angry not only did they get orders wrong… They also missed couple orders so ppl had to share their food w each other. My order was the Luleh kabob lavash wrap which includes parsley and onions… They brought me the chicken Luleh with no onions in there and a few parsley pieces which I can count how many where in there. The kabob was so dry I was having trouble swallowing it!!! Just horrible ! My co workers are upset and we will never order from them again!!! Thanks for ruining our lunch.

Nothing feels better then choosing a vendor for an important event who keeps their promise. We recently had an large office party for about 55 people and decided to have Moon Mart Kabob do the catering. We were very impressed because they did an amazing job. The food as always was delicious and full of quality and the staff was very professional and knowledgable. They knew every dish and appetizer and what ingredients it included and so on, since our guests love to ask. They played a big role in the success of our event and we are already working with them to plan our Holiday Office Party in mid december. Thank you Moon Mart for the great food and amazing service.

Back yard Armenian BBQ, away from Back yard Armenian BBQ. Stews are on point and fresh, not frozen. Catered couple of my events… all i heard was«who did your catering». People who run it have great energy and very extremelly nice. Which explains why their food always tastes delicious! Keep up the good work MOONKEBOB!

I’ve lived in Glendale all my life and the one consistent middle eastern restaurant with some of the best beef kabob is Moon Mart Kebob. Try the sides are absolutely delicious… I can’t ever have enough of them. I put in my phone orders and i’ve never had any issues so far. I’ve ordered catering for delivery several times with everything on point and they even supplied plenty of utensils, plates and napkins.

My chief complaints with all of the chicken kebabs I’ve previously tried in this area(and I’ve tried a lot!) are: 1) the meat has been over-seasoned 2) the meat has been overcooked — charred and/or dried out. Neither of these things are true, at Moon Mart! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, not overwhelmingly spicy or salty, so you can still enjoy the taste of the meat. It was also very tender and moist, with no dried out edges or inedible charred areas. This was easily the best kebab I’ve had in months. The rice was tasty and cooked well. The hummus was delicious and the texture was spot on. It had a slightly smoky flavor from the seasoning and it wasn’t swimming in excess oil. Prices were completely reasonable for the portion sizes. Service was very good. The woman who took my order made me feel very welcome, almost like I had stepped into her kitchen at home. I love the family atmosphere that the folks there create. It’s warm and inviting. Also, they listened and made note of it when I mentioned my food allergy. Glad to know I can safely eat here! I will definitely be returning soon!

I have been eating here for years! My absolute favorite has to be the luleh kabab, but basically all the side items are AMAZING as well. Love the cozy and warm vibe of this place. The owners are super friendly and treat you like family. It’s always nice to eat at a store where you feel taken care of! They also cater events, which has always been a hit at family parties. Love this place! Highly recommend! Two thumbs up!

This place has a very Don Corleone mobster hangout turned Mediterranean feel. I’m talking about the workers and their friends not the décor. All the workers are older guys that seemed like working at the Moon Mart is their side business. Didn’t expect much but this place served up the best damn shish kebab I ever tasted. Cooked to juicy perfection, and not at all dry like a lot of kebab places. The lule kebab were delicious. They serve bottled water, and the sides come out in styrofoam dishes who I thought was a little strange. With the plethora of choices for kebab spots in Glendale, this one is a must try!

It honestly hurts me to give a one star review to any business because I just feel like a bitch but this place was terrible for so many reasons I couldn’t hold my tongue. Let me relive this awful experience for you: Came in because it was within walking distance from a photo shoot we were doing and this place had decent reviews. Boy do I wish we would’ve went further down the list. first of all, the place was quaint and the one customer in there looked like she was enjoying her meal, which falsely led me to believe we would too. There were three of us and two of us decided to try 1 of the chicken plate specials &1 of the shish kabob specials. Which clearly stated by the restaurant on their menu; chicken with a side order of rice, grilled tomato, salad AND drink. And our third member ordered the Cornish hen plate which included everything ours did minus the soft drink. When asked what we would like for our drinks, the two of us with the«specials» ordered a perrier(because I saw the girl with one) and a diet coke. The third ordered just iced tap water(the 1 with the cornish hen plate). For an appetizer, we ordered hummus but were told 5 minutes later they didn’t have any. So we switched it to cucumber yogurt.(Which was yummy! The only good thing about this spot.) Our food came out and I for one was unpleasantly surprised. It was like wtf? How could they possible not make good kabobs?? Isn’t that their specialty!? Alas, food was above average. There was no salad and the rice was dry. After being brought out some perrier knock off from Germany, I asked if they had perrier to which the owner replied, this one is better. I wasn’t there to judge if it was or wasn’t, I just wanted sparkling water with lime and the brand they had was unflavored. So I decided to make it simple and asked for a sprite. Just a quick recap: no hummus, which is pretty much what a place like this is known for. Asked for something they had but then told no more, which is very likely since its not a huge restaurant. And below average tasting food. Sounds all bad to me. Moving on to the rest of my horror story. Then came time to ask for the bill. The owner(manager? friend?) literally just went to the register, typed in whatever the man in the back said and told us our bill was $ 40 flat. If that doesn’t raise eyebrows then this part will. One friend just had the mentality to just pay the bill and get the hell out of there. So he handed his card over, got the receipt, and signed away. Me being a little bit more frugal and mistrusting of strangers, asked to see an itemized receipt. After looking it over, I noticed immediately a couple of things wrong. First, we were charged for 3 drinks although we all got the«lunch specials» which prices included the drinks. second, one of the meals was charged an extra $ 2 than what the menu said. How do you charge more than what YOU put on the menu? Last, not only did they overcharge, as the guy handed over the itemized receipt, he says very rudely, «Oh, I gave you a $ 3 discount.» Sure, you knocked off $ 3 from the final total AFTER you overcharged $ 6.50! Oh wait I forgot to say this last part, even though I brought this to everyones attention, my friends were still kind enough to ask for change for $ 20 to leave tip. The guy shorted my friend $ 2. And my friend STILL left a tip.
