New Image Cuts

Needed a hair cut. Zero waiting time. Showed a picture to Carmen and she knocked it out of the park.
The owner was so kind and had a smiling face from the moment you walk in.
Great experience… and yes the haircut matched the picture.
All in all it took 15 minutes.
You can’t beat that!

I’ve been going to New Image for three or four years. Didn’t take long to recognize that Karmen does a consistently great job, so I’ve requested that she cut my hair every time. Two or three times she’s not been in and I’ve gotten a nice cut, but I’d prefer not to think about it or be concerned. It’s now $ 10 for a haircut, still a bargain.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else! The owner is there to make sure the customers are always satisfied. She has trained all the staff personally.

Rebecca is simply the best! She’s so sweet! I called the salon and right away I was able to get a haircut by Rebecca. You can’t go wrong with a $ 9 cut and $ 3 shampoo/​conditioner wash

Really, it’s only $ 9 for a haircut?! Yah, this place is a really no frills. I don’t even know if they take appointments. LOL But they must be good, or just really cheap, because this place is always busy. So, what is it? It’s good and cheap. LOL
There are 2 lines of chairs with Armenian women cutting hair. Well, I believe most of them are, if not all. The woman running the place will ask you what kind of cut do you want when you walk in. Apparently some women are better than others when it comes to different styles. I wanted layers. So, there were only certain woman who could do it.
I’ve been here several times (when hair cuts were $ 8) and I get what I want — layers and side swept bangs. No complaints. Tell the woman specifically what you want. Then they wet your hair with a spray bottle and cut away. They will blow dry your hair slightly to blow away the cut hair but not style it. That’s all extra. I’m ok with that because that’s obviously how the costs stay down.
It’s located in a small plaza and if you can’t find parking there is street parking. I don’t know if they accept credit cards because I have always paid in cash. I feel bad that I never catch a name from the women who have cut my hair but I haven’t been disappointed yet. LOL

Don’t let the price of the haircut turn you away. You may walk in and think that, «Oh this place cuts your hair for $ 9, so it must be bad.» I’ve been coming here for the past two years and everytime I leave, I leave feeling like a new person.
They give you exactly what haircut you want and if you want something they don’t think will loon good, they will tell you. I’m glad I got talked out if making some horrible decisions with my hair and instead left feeling amazing. Very sweet, talented and hard working ladies work there and you won’t be disappointed when you leave. Plus you won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

I have been getting my hair cuts here since I was a little girl. Lida the owner makes sure I love my cut every single time. Every single person there is so friendly from the moment I walk in. I recommend all my friends and family to them because I am sure they will be satisfied. I have yet to find another salon that treats there customers so well and listens to what they want! LOVE THIS SALON!

I found this hair salon on Unilocal.I was impressed when I walked in as I was greeted by great customer service .I sat down I told the stylist exactly what I want and she delivered and I got exactly what I wanted. The customer service is great and the price is unbeatable and I left very satisfied and happy. I will definitely recommend this hair salon to all my family and friends as this is the best place to go to get a haircut for any type of style you prefer for $ 9. I’m standing right outside this «hair cutting «place as I write this review … Went there since it was recommended by someone I know …
Obviously they are very limited in their skill — can only cut and trim hair that is straight and minimal!!! Preferably men, ladies with thin scanty hair, kids and ideally bald people !!
I’ve been to salons earlier– and have never witnessed such an unprofessional attitude !!! The lady literally pulled my hair out!
If you are a really good hair Salon– you would be able to cut and trim any kind of hair !!!
And no the owner does not care if you are a happy or dissatisfied customer !! All she wants is easy to work on customers!!!
Their customer service is cheaper than their $ 9 haircut !!!

This place is eh. They are cheap but don’t know how to actually cut a lot of hair. They can do trims but when I went yesterday they couldn’t cut my hair how I wanted. There were two ladies doing it. I kept showing them the pic of what I want and it doesn’t look like it at all. I’ve done this haircut many times before I know how it supposed to look on me I wanted a sexy chic look and they just gave me a little kid haircut I’m very disappointed. Im so mad my hair is my everything. I don’t understand why people open hair salons when they don’t know how to do hair.

Me: I want my bangs uneven.
Hairstylist: Okay. *cut it super straight*
And now I look like a dorky mushroom…
I didn’t get her name but that lady did NOT know how to give a proper haircut. Her skill level is kinda the worst that I’ve ever encountered and it felt like she was rushing the whole time. Really not trying to be mean here but my hair now looks like it’s been bitten by a dog. Definitely will not go back. Once is enough :(

Been going there for about 15 years. I still haven’t changed because I love the service I receive and I love the work they do.

Can’t beat a $ 9 haircut and they do just as good of a job as Sports Clips, Great Clips, or Super Cuts.
Just note that they only take cash.

Now that I’m back in the area, I decided to come here to get a haircut. The «quality» has definitely dropped over the years. If you wanted a quick, cheap haircut in the past, then this place would do the job. Not the best haircut, but you wouldn’t go home dissatisfied either.
I can’t say the same anymore. I received a half-​ass job and ended up having to fix it myself. Personally, I’m never coming back here again. I’d rather pay double the price anywhere else to get it done right.
I will say that your experience is highly variable on which cosmetologist does your hair; maybe 1 out of every 5 will do a good job, and you don’t want to play an odds game with your looks. Go elsewhere.

Friendly, fast and great service. Where else can you get a $ 9 haircut! My dad came here as a walk in, they took him in and he’s getting his hair did. I’m sitting here Unilocaling and by the time I finish he will be done. This is a perfect place for a no frills type of man that just wants to be in and out! :)

I just went in this week from hearing the reviews and I absolutely LOVE this place now! Rebecca cut my hair and blew it out and she was fantastic, so fast and so nice. They have such great prices so I can actually afford to maintain my crazy locks, and I have already referred friends there. I am very pleased!

Wow, not sure how I missed out on this little gem! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and immediately got an open seat. They have a large staff so someone is always available when you walk in. In the rare case that they’re all busy, a seat opens up very quick!
I got the exact cut that I asked for. The pricing is unbeatable. Hair cut prices are rising just like everything else but this place still keeps their pricing super reasonable at just $ 9.
I had a great experience overall. Will definitely be back again. A+ on the pricing, quality and definitely customer service.

First thing I asked the lady not to do is cut my hair straight across and that’s the first thing she did. I clearly asked her 3x to Plz not cut it straight across like if a 5yr old did it. I’m very upset and can’t even wear extensions to hide the fact that I got a bad hair cut. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

There are plenty of stylists available that are ready to take walk-​ins, no reservation needed. They have a flat $ 9 rate for any hair, which is pretty awesome. My boyfriend was the one that got his hair cut, and it turned out great. We have tried out other places similar to New Image Cuts and it never turned out this good. They’re super fast and efficient. His lines were really clean and the style came out just like he wanted.
The girl that cut his hair only asked how short, and she somehow managed to cut his hair like he normally would have elsewhere. It’s not a typical hair cut and his hair showed no sign of how it should have been cut so this impressed us. Pretty cool! She did think that this was a change for him, which we thought was funny since he gets it like this all the time.
I would totally recommend this place, not just for price! I do not think that this is a «you get what you pay for» type of deal. It’s just really good at an awesome price.
