Sports Clips

Was apprehensive to go to Sports Clips because it appears to be geared exclusively toward men (it was convenient to stop by for a trim while the car was getting worked on next door). They were fantastic! I was greeted warmly, seated quickly, and given fabulously attentive service. My stylist was patient and did the job with care. The experience felt luxurious for a strip mall salon. The price was perfect as well! Very pleased.

First time here. Had a big job interview the next day and had to look sharp. Hadn’t gotten a haircut in a few months or shaved my beard for weeks. I had heard/​read about Sports Clips but never checked one out. My local barber back home wasn’t an option so I decided to give SC a shot.
Was very impressed overall. I didn’t have to wait, which was nice. I was first given a thurough cut and a full beard and mustache shave by Ashley. I then got to go into the back for a full shampoo and hot towel experience. I got it for free bc it was my first time there. I had never had a hot towel wrapped around my face before but I enjoyed it and it felt good.
When I got back into the barber’s chair, I got a nice little back massage from their machine and my hair was given a final look. I was very impressed with the overall high quality of work done and will definitely return.

I cut my hair off a month ago, needing to have it shaped to my face and softened. Hairstylist (Toya) did a wonderful job on my hair, and gave me the finishing look I desired.

I dragged my husband here to get cleaned up before a thanksgiving visit to my family. About 10 minutes and $ 5 + generous tip later, his beard was neatly trimmed and he was on his way. The salon (do you call it that? Barber shop?) was very clean, there was no wait for a stylist (barber?), and the multiple large TV’s showing 4 different football games helped to convince him the beard trim wasn’t such a waste of time. The sports-​themed everything (even the towels in the bathroom) seemed pretty cliché, but it didn’t detract from the service at all.
Not the best barbering ever, but it was definitely passable, and the rest of the experience was very positive.

Armed with a $ 6 First-​Timer coupon from Sunday’s Journal Sentinel, I arrived Tuesday morning at 10:12 a.m., and turned out to be the first customer of the day. Signing in I was told that I would thus be entitled to a Free MVP Upgrade, a $ 22 value. Regular men’s haircuts are $ 17.
Outstanding, Christina was to be my stylist and was she a professional. Not only did she transform my appearance, but as part of the Free MVP Upgrade, gave me a double massage, shampoo and hot towel facial. Wow, there is a first time for everything!
Signing up for a host of email coupon offers, I can only hope I find another Upgrade in the months to come. Amazingly, when I went to leave at 10:56, there were nine people waiting. Thanks Christina, even my wife was impressed!
