Vanities Nails

A good quality nail salon that’s in a very convenient location from my house. I’ve been going here for at least 6 or 7 years now. Generally everyone in the salon is very welcoming and polite and will try to accommodate any special requests you have. For example I got a full set of acrylic nails last week and I found a very specific shape I wanted for my tips and my nail tech did them perfectly! I always feel bad because I keep forgetting her name but she wears really stylish glasses. Everyone in the salon does a great job but I do think this particular woman does them the best. They do a pretty good eyebrow wax too! The only issue I have is that I never seem to notice the difference between getting the gel tips versus the acrylic tips. Gel tips are supposed to last a lot longer than the acrylic but I haven’t experienced that yet so it’s just not worth the extra money for me personally. Pedicures are pretty good but I always feel like my feet could be just a little bit softer. This really isn’t a factor into my review but there’s a really cute dog that hangs out in the back of the store and I’m in love with it. I have no idea if that’s a health code violation but I don’t care because I love dogs!!!

Appointments generally aren’t really needed unless there’s a high school dance/​prom/​graduation coming up. Also the televisions are always on HGTV for some reason? Not a complaint but just thought I’d mention that lol

I picked vanities because it’s close to my home and my graduation was the next day.
I was there a total of an hour and a half (it felt like a really long time to me). I got the gel manicure tips (I don’t know the technical term for them) and it costs $ 45. I am unhappy that my manicurist didn’t push my cuticles back AT ALL so my nails are already looking bad after just 3 days.
I also ended up with a gel drip on one of my nails that won’t come off– I really wish I noticed it while I was there.
I’m really just pissed about the cuticles… I don’t get my nails done often and when I do I expect them to last longer than 3 days!
