This is a nice little park in the blurry area of Lakewood and Golden. It’s a park that you either know where it’s at, or you’re lost and you found it on accident. It’s tucked away in a cute little neighborhood behind the EPA building. There is a makeshift basketball court from a closed parking lot. A nice walking path winds through the park, although I’m not sure if it makes a complete loop. There are tennis courts and a baseball diamond. There is a small shelter with picnic tables next to the playground. As for the playground, it’s right next to a parking lot. The playground is rather small. It’s wooden, which is awesome. It just needs to have a metal slide to make it really retro. They had an elephant, tiger, seal, and rocket(?) rocker thingys. Two little swings and two regular swings. My young son was bored with the playground equipment before he used up all his energy. Bummer. All in all, this is a very pretty park with nice flowers in a quiet neighborhood. As for the playground, I doubt we’ll be back to enjoy it.
