Wow I am such a rookie! This place has been down the street from my house(literally) this whole time! I have no idea how I have not seen or heard of it. Well I am hear to shout it out loud for those who were like me — CHECKTHISPLACEOUT! Fun location tucked away right off the main road, it’s like a big house restaurant. I loved the beautiful cozy inside which was perfect for a chilly… er more like freeeezing… new years eve night. There was a nice patio outside which I will be excited to enjoy in the summer time(or on a classic random 65 degree day in January that Colorado is famous for). As we entered we were greeted promptly and noticed the place was full of a people enjoying each other’s company — families, friends, dates, couples. We were originally drawn to the all you can eat sushi for $ 22.95 which is quite a deal! However most of the rolls are a great price to begin with so it is almost hard to spend $ 23 worth of sushi for the all you can eat. The nice part about the all you can eat is it does come with appetizers and although the all you can eat menu is limited, there is still quite a variety. The quality of sushi was actually surprisingly very good for the prices. It’s a perfect place to go to satisfy that little sushi craving without breaking the budget. We had 6 rolls and two appetizers for under $ 50. That’s a win if you ask me! I saw they had green tea cake and ice cream on the menu, I was too stuffed to try it yet but I was thrilled to see them on there. I typically save the super fancy shamcy pay an arm and two legs for minimal sushi for special occasions — between those rare occasions, this will be my good go to place for sushi. Bottom line: Great service, great prices, mediocre sushi, great atmosphere.

Came here on my lunch hour. Sat down for 30 minutes and did not receive any service until I personally flagged down the server. He did not apologize and hesitantly took our order. 20 minutes later our meals started to come out 1 meal at a time. I watched my 3 co-workers all get their meals one at a time before me. By the time the first person was about done eating, I just received my meal. After having a couple bites of the two sushi rolls I ordered, they did not hesitate asking how to split our tabs. The quality of the sushi resembled the same as what I’d receive from King Soopers. I will not be returning here. My visit will be the first and the last time I come here.

Came here in a large group for the ayce sushi lunch! And I have to say, the value at this place is unbeatable. I paid a total of $ 16 for an insane amount of food… Not to mention, the sushi was very tasty and the fish quality was pretty decent for an ayce place! The selection was pretty limited, but the rolls they did have were delicious. I recommend trying the tempura rolls! All in all, really good value for an ayce for some very tasty sushi!

Really Delicious Sushi! Service is a little slow but its worth the wait :) the baked mussel’s are really good so are the Mr. Crab rolls. Parking kinda sucks and the hours are really weird.

Their service could be a little bit better but it is by no means bad; however, I will admit that their food more than makes up for them forgetting to top off your water. In one word, their food is phenomenal. Their pork katsu is one off the best I have had. Very flavorful and well-prepared. Certainly a restaurant worth checking out.

There is usually no available parking at this popular restaurant but we lucked out by going at the tail end of the dinner rush. I had not been here in years and was pleased the quality was top notch like I remembered. The host brought us piping hot towels on a bamboo tray that I greatly appreciate. We ate a few of their specials including white toro which was delectable. The chefs are friendly, as well as the rest of the staff. The food is presented tastefully and appealing to the eye. There longevity for an off the beaten path restaurant is reason enough to Good Morning when you get the chance.

Delicious sushi, easily in my top five favorites in the metro area. We did the all you can eat sushi(which is a great price at $ 23). I loved that this also included appetizers, we got two orders of gyoza, which was so yummy! The sushi was amazing, fresh, tempura and sauces were great! The only complaint I have is that it is a very busy restaurant and they seem to be a little understaffed, combine those two and it took 10 – 20 min. before you’re checked in with, and when you pay for all you can eat, you want to make sure you get as much as you can before you get super full waiting to order your next round, which happened to us, and we ended up having to miserably choke down our last roll because we had gotten way too full. Staff is very sweet and informative, we tried egg sushi after talking to the waiter about what it was. Turns out it’s not something we would ever order again, but we appreciated the information he gave. We will be back soon for sure :-)

Food was great, but I won’t ever go back. I had a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy last year which made my stomach 1⁄6 its original size, so I eat protein first, then veggies, and I forgo carbs when I can. I eat sushi all the time because of this. I ordered the all-you-can-eat lunch for $ 16 after studying all their menu options. I only ordered one time and ate all my fish, skipping the rice. They charged me an additional $ 2 because I didn’t eat all my rice(«…just this time. Next time we will charge you MORE than the $ 2 if you leave the rice.») So, you’re telling met that if I HAD eaten ALL my rice, I would NOT have been charged extra??? I’m STILL shaking my head. I even tried to explain my situation to the waiter, but it was completely lost on him. So I paid the extra money and decided to just write about my asinine experience here and never return.

I would say 3-star quality sushi for a 5-star price. $ 16 all-you-can-eat lunch special. This includes a variety of rolls, sashimi – even the appetizers are included as potential 2nd(or even 3rd) re-orders! As for the apps: We enjoyed the crispy tofu, made to order so it is piping hot. Salmon skin salad is delicious. The gyoza was a little wimpy but I think the other dishes made up for that fact. The tempura rolls were big. The other rolls were about average-sized. Not the freshest tasting fish but still good. Service and speed were fine. The restaurant setting is intimate… I mean a cozy cottage feeling, not romantic. Parking can be dicey if they’re busy.

$ 13 all you can eat lunch special can’t be beat! Pretty limited as far as the rolls go but tuna and salmon a la cart pieces were delish, gyoza and apps were also solid. Nestled in between dozens of car dealerships there is pretty limited parking unsurprisingly. I will proclaim this A DIAMONDINTHEROUGH

Well, the time has come where I decided to venture on over to Sushi Uokura(with a slightly scared feeling) and give them one more shot. I’m so glad that I did, because they have really turned things around. I’m not sure if they are under new management, but they have a new staff(which is very helpful and sweet) and the sushi chef was great as well. We walked in on quite a busy night and were surprised at how quick the service was. If I had a bigger appetite, I would have paid the $ 23 for UNLIMITEDSUSHI(oh yes sushi lovers, you heard that right), but I decided to stick to my usual and compare it to what i’ve tasted in the past. I ordered the green tea and miso soup to begin with; both came steaming hot and tasted fresh! I stepped out of the vegan box for rolls; Unagi, Vegan Roll, Las Vegas Roll, Spicy Tuna and two more rolls(that I honestly can’t remember). Oh… my…goodness…if there was a sushi heaven, this was it. Everything was so elegantly put together and presented in such a fine manner; not to mention the taste was super fresh and enticing! I honestly had to ask our waiter three times if he was sure that the vegan roll was vegan(it was made with a special fermented pickle) because it literally tasted just like fresh caught, sushi grade fish. Thank you so much Sushi Uokura, for fixing whatever previous funk was occurring; this will be my go-to sushi restaurant!

A seemingly popular spot amoung the Golden locals Sushi Uokura’s main draw is the all you can eat lunch special for $ 15.99. The menu has nice variety although the quality of sushi is what you should expect for Midwest Golden Colorado. The inside was quite spacious and the staff is friendly and attentive. The parking lot was full and they seem to have loyal customers who come back time and again. Although I have had better sushi here in Denver I would go back and pay another visit. I recommend checking it out.

Denver, the milehigh city… milehigh fish… milehigh sashimi… I would rate this place higher if they claim to be Japanese/Denver fusion. We came to the restaurant because it had all you can eat sushi. However, we decided that it is not worth the $ 22.95. We ordered a la carte which brought the price to be about the same. The ayce’s menu is very limited. the items that we want to eat are not on it. Tonight, the sashimi are not fresh and of lower quality. But it is edible. Service is ok; not good, not bad. Everything seem to be mediocre. Conclusively, it does not represent Denver good eats.

This is my favorite place to have a special lunch. The all you can eat lunch special is really a great deal! I haven’t found any other sushi restaurant with a similar deal. The sushi itself is great! Be sure to try the golden roll. I wish this place had more parking. I figure more people would find it if it did. But you have to find this place and give it a try. Once you do, you will return. Come during lunch!

The all you can eat sushi for lunch is a great deal!(Only $ 16) That deal also comes with a bunch of extra appetizers such as miso soup and edamame, etc. The service was very good and the waitresses were very friendly. Will definitely look forward to coming here again!

GROSS! Stay away. By far the worst sushi I have ever had. The all you can eat menu had a very limited selection of choices. Miso soup had a very odd taste to it. But the sushi had a very chewy consistency, nothing I’ve ever experienced. They didn’t have any specialty rolls just all the plain Jane ones. I literally was on the verge of puking while chewing on their rolls. Cleanliness and service was lacking.

When I used to work in the Lakewood/Golden area, this was my go-to sushi location of choice. Their lunch all you can eat price is great. Try to get there as close to opening as possible. When I got there at noon or so, sometimes you won’t find parking in their small lot and then by the time you get your sushi order in, you’re probably going to wait a little while. I don’t consider myself a hardcore sushi lover so I usually stick with the tamago, tuna and salmon nigiri. I notice a lot of my friends enjoy sushi but nothing«fishy» tasting and I’m the same way. Salmon has a really smooth, buttery texture. Tuna has a meaty, clean taste. The tamago is like eating a sweet, room temperature egg on top of the rice. All really good. For rolls, I usually go with california or any roll that has a crab, salmon or tuna(or any combination of the above). My recommendation is to get there early and if you want a second round of sushi, to put it in when you’re a third to a halfway through your first plate(or boat). The servers have always been friendly.

This was the very first place I had sushi. I feel I need to add the caveat that I always went here with a work group and so I never had to pay out of pocket. The sushi is great and they have some unique rolls. This is an ideal place to go with a bigger group and the sushi boat adds a fun element. Staff is super friendly and attentive.

Been coming here every since I was elementary school and I can say they have the freshest seafood! The parking is a little small but to get fresh sushi it’s not a problem. The staffs are extra nice as well!
