Roses are red, violets are blue, I go to Ninth Street almost every day, now why don’t you? Get a coffee, it’s great. Get a scone, it’s great. Buy coffee by the 12oz. bag, it’s great. Chat with the staff, they’re great. With both a brewery/bar and performance space in the same building, how could you go wrong?

Nice surprise walking down the street, a little hole in the wall type place. The ice coffee was refreshing.

The overarching theme is chill. They are semi hidden away next to a restaurant, the cashier is the epitome of laid back, and the whole café has a lax vibe where you can sip your coffee and work. I highly recommend just stopping by on your way to Brooklyn Boulder.

My favorite coffee spot. Very cozy, incredible coffee, good work environment. Amazing baristas!!! Jesse, Derrick & Hannah are the best!

There are lots of problems with this place: 1. They only have Time Warner WiFi and it only lasts an hour, which makes this place useless as a place to work from, which is the main way I use coffee shops. Even with all the other things wrong with this place, it’s conveniently located enough that I would spend the day here(and buy some stuff) if they had bothered to spend $ 40 to get their own router. 2. I can respect a place that has a narrow selection of a few good things but they have 5 food items and they are all kinds of dry, sweet pastries(and nothing vegan if you swing that way). 3. The coffee is *okay*. It’s better than grocery store coffee, but it’s a little burnt tasting(not as burnt-tasting as Starbucks). But grocery store coffee costs $ 1.50, while this coffee is $ 2.50(for drip coffee). 4. The clientele is basically all straight white males who work at startups. If go here to meet people at coffee shops, I hope you like talking about«disrupting social». If you walk a few blocks south there are much nicer coffee shops with usable WiFi, cheaper, better coffee, wider food selections, and a more diverse clientele. I really considered giving this 1 star, but I like to reserve that for truly bad places. 1.5 stars might have been a better review.

As you walk through the area in Brooklyn, you may get the feeling you’re going b the wrong direction. You’re not. Keep on going until you find the small sign that says 9th Street Espresso. Follow the signs up the stairs to the coffee bar. There’s a friendly barista that will craft your coffee for you. It’s a simple menu: fresh brew, espresso, espresso with milk, but it’s good coffee. It’s $ 4 for a 12 ounce espresso with milk. There are a few seats with outlets and they give you a free hour of wifi.

This café is a great place to hang out with friends. It’s unfortunate that I don’t drink coffee but they serve tea. I’ve also had their croissants which were fresh. Their menu is super small. There’s coffee, iced coffee, espresso. They have croissants and depending on the day scones and a few other pastries. It’s definitely a place to either stop by to grab coffee or sit down to talk with friends. Perhaps you could do an informal business meeting here too. The wifi works well but the music can be a bit too loud at times.

It’s a tiny coffee shop inside of Three’s Brewery, with a great space for sitting & reading. The iced coffee was good and they have soy milk available, and the croissants are delicious. As far as the menu shows, the coffee drinks available are relatively simple. The people working there have always been friendly, which I’ve super come to appreciate in this city.

Tiny, but great vibe. This area needed a place like this. Connected to the brewery but it’s a stand alone simple café. The folks who work here are chill and friendly. Dig it. ***Update since last review: wifi lasts only an hour(time warner) which is a real bummer. If you plan to do work here just know that in advance.

This spot is an absolute gem. And if it weren’t for Unilocal I never would have discovered it! If you’re in Gowanus, perhaps you’re working out at Brooklyn boulders or walking along the lovely canal, you’re sure to need a nip of coffee. Nestled secretly inside of three’s brewing there is a café. Step in the front door & ascend a few short steps & you’ll find ninth street espresso. If you’re like me you’ll make a beeline straight for the cold brew on tap. But there is also the option for the full list of esspresso based drinks from latte, cortado to cappuccino & mocha. Take your pick. The baristas are all experienced & will do you right. Plus since we’re a stones throw outside the rat race nobody will rush you ether. Don’t forget to stop back in at night for the gastropub & backyard too!

i am so hungry and nothing here is vegan. bagels, guys. they are coffee’s best friend. Also, the counter service is rude and the coffee tastes like Starbucks.

9th Street Espresso provides exactly what I need in the morning — great coffee, a delicious thing or two to nibble on, comfortable seating, and a simple, lovely décor with plenty of light. And maybe the highlight(well, second to their coffee) is the people — so friendly!
