I’m disappointed, I won’t be coming back for a while. I go hiking in Graeagle every week and have been to this place a handful of times. The wait time is not worth the quality of service and food you get in return. On September 22nd my father and I decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat before our hike up to the Sierra Buttes. First off, the guy that took our order was straight up rude… even after my father signed the receipt and tipped him. Not only was the service mediocre, we didn’t expect to wait 30 minutes for two orders of chicken tenders and french fries. I took a bite out of one chicken tender and realized the entire middle was RAW. I pulled apart the other two of my chicken tenders and they were raw as well! I took my basket of food up to the guy at the counter to show him the raw tenders and he went to show the cook and came back to say they would remake them. The look on their faces made it seem like the biggest hassle to remake my food. By that point, I had lost my appetite and I just wanted to go on my hike. This place really needs to step up their game a notch or two.

I went on Saturday May 23rd and ordered two milkshakes, one curly fry one onion ring and one corn dog. When I received my order, the fries were spilled in the bottom of the paper bag with several packets of ketchup on top. There was no corn dog and only one shake I Went back and notified the lady who took my order and she said wait one minute and I’ll get it right for you. I waited about fifteen minutes and went back received my corn dog and still no milkshake. When I tried to eat my corn dog it was frozen in the middle. At this point I went back to the ordering window with my entire order and told her they can have it all back and left. I didn’t get my food or money back !! I never would recommend this place!

Awesome soft serve and sundaes. The small was large and the medium was huge! I enjoyed the vanilla and my dog enjoyed the last little bit of my cone. Great treat! Will be back.

For a walk-up eatery it is more than adequate. A lot of low scores due to what I think is people expecting more of it than what it is. My wife and I always stop whether with our adult children or alone on the motorcycle for a quick refreshment or meal. My only complaint is that there is always lots of people and the lines are often long. Humm, must be indicative to how popular this place really is.

Unfortunately still YUK! Hasn’t been decent for at least a couple of decades and the recent leasee is kinda greasy and hires lowlifes. I could see why one of the more recent reviewers said they got food poisoning. Ate inside really kinda dirty

Went here the other day and got a burger and fries and came home and both my husband and I got food poisoning. The sickest I have ever been. They should be inspected by the health department. Also their gluten free ice cream is disgusting.

Nice nostalgic little place. Now, to the food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork in the bun covered only a third of it. The sandwich was heated in a microwave rather than on a grill. There was hardly any barbecue sauce and what was there was weak. The fries were unsalted and tasteless. My coke tasted«off». I had planned on getting ice cream, but after the meal, decided against it. I wish I had gone up the street to one of the other eateries that looked really good. The next morning I was glad I made it to the restroom in time.

Hamburgers, onion rings, milkshakes… everything you’d expect from a roadside burger shack. Pretty good too! Also features hot dogs, gardenburgers and grilled cheese. Seating is all picnic benches on the side of the road. Prices are reasonable.

Ahhhhh… so glad they don’t change some things! A relic that just brings back so many memories. Camping up at Sardine Lake, coming down into Graegle either to play miniature golf or horseback ride and then top it off with a frostie, some French fries and a burger or corn dog. Yum!

Great veggie burger! I’m hoping they will start offering veggie hot dogs and vegetarian chili too.

Been going up to Graeagle every year since I was born. Since I can remember the place was never friendly nor clean, until NOW. The new owner cares about his customers. The place is clean and the food is good. The people are friendly and they are true to their hours! We went several times this last year! A MUST while visiting Graeagle!

Great summertime milk shake and ice cream stop. I like the caramel and chocolate shake. My wife likes the mint chip cone.

I’ve been coming to the Frostee since I was a little kid. I used to love this place. As recently as last summer I loved this place but now the ice cream was weird… lots of ice crystals. It must have to do with the new low fat gluten free signs posted. Ugh. Such a bummer.

oh no — what happened to this place? They now serve healthy gluten free ice cream that tastes watered down and not so good. And they were out of Chocolate? Its not the place it used to be in the 80’s and 90’s Too bad.

My husband’s been coming here since he was a kid too. Me, not quite so long, but it used to be way better! I agree with Lizzy, DIPPEDCONES are what you go to a Frostee for! The choc cone wasn’t even good ice cream. Dipping it might have made it a lot better. We vote with our feet and will stay away!

Didn’t go here as a kid. First time in Graeagle and was glad to have a quality burger and ice cream joint. I had a veggie burger and it was really good. I ordered an Oreo shake with it and it was delicious. My party had a burger, curly fries and a vanilla shake. Everyone was happy. Food took a while but was well worth it and we sat at picnic tables and enjoyed the weather. This place was packed so they turned out the food fairly quickly considering. I’m used to prices being higher so was fine with them. Good little food stand.

Good soft serve ice scream, which is why I gave it one star. But the lady behind the window was grumpy and nasty.

I need to preface by saying everything in the middle-of-nowhere is overpriced. That said, everything here is overpriced. We got a couple of chicken sanwiches and a root beer float. The chicken sandwich was fine, nothing special. The root beer float was good. Again, nothing special. I would like to agree with Trish’s comment about classic rock playing… we had a good giggle listen to the oldies being blurted out on little tiny speakers around the place.

After a hot hike up at graeagle… I had such high hopes for this place. Quite often these roadside shacks have such awesome food. This is not one of them. We both had a cheeseburger and we we were both disappointed. Everything seemed to lack flavor. They got mine wrong. The bun was dry and too much bread for a thin little patty. Curly and regular fries were just«okay.» Then we got a soft serve to go. It was SO soft that 3 licks in it literally melted and fell off the cone into my hand. Super fun when you’re in the car!!! So my suggestion. .find somewhere else to eat.
