Was pretty turned off from this place before it changed ownership(now Hunter’s) due to lousy food and rude staff on four different occasions. We decided to give the new place a try for a family dinner. The main dining room was under renovation, so we ate upstairs – not a very nice setting. The service was great and the food was just ok. The lobster mac and cheese had a generous amount of fresh tasting lobster and a nice texture, but could definitely use some flavor as it was a bit bland. Will definitely try again when the renovations are complete. Hoping to find a good family-friendly place to eat around Grafton as there aren’t many restaurants in the area.

Food was average. Our waitress Claudine was terrible. Ordered a glass of wine and coke w/lime. Brought over coke no lime and no wine. Waited for about 10 minutes when I went to the bar station to grab our wine. When finally came to take our order had no clue about the wine. When ordering I asked about the sides, she said there are so many so read the menu. Food was delivered by someone else. Waited for the check… another waitress Mo saw us waiting and got the bill and was great enough to process. Our waitress never came back.

My family and I stayed here and had a good experience. It’s quite old so the hotel rooms are varying sizes. We spent some time at the bar and ordered beers and a «special» of theirs, a tropical cosmo. The beers were awesome and the cosmo was fine. The bar was empty every time we went, so we had the bartender’s whole attention. The restaurant was never open while we stayed our 2 nights, i guess because we stayed over a holiday weekend. Wish I could have reviewed the food.

Love the previously known as «Grafton Inn», It’s fantastic for families, date night, or dining alone. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, the ambience is calming and quaint. I know they recently had a name change, as they updated the menu and renamed the restaurant, but it has only gotten a little bit better. I usually go for the fried chicken sandwich although I have tried several of their dinner meals, and we have had the tuna starter, calamari, and plenty of the app’s. No complaints on the food, well seasoned and cooked. Every one of the servers we have had have made us feel at home, and kept smiles on our faces no matter how busy they are. Definitely try the clam chowder, its creamy, thick and delicious and has yet to disappoint. The other thing I love about this place is that it is so affordable, a meal with two kids and two adults less than $ 75? WITH a few beers and apps?! This makes me so happy. Thank you guys for everything you do! WOOHOO! Keep up the great work!

I go there often both for after work cocktails and for dining. I really have never had a bad experience. The new ownership brings a certain new enthusiasm to the environment. It’s also a spot for local meeting space which makes it unique. I understand there are plans for upgrading the bar which can only add to it’s appeal.

Mahi mahi was so overcooked I needed to cut it with a knife. Broccoli was brown and looked like it came from a frozen food isle bag. It was served ice cold. The coleslaw was slimy. The calamari appetizer had way too much batter, and it wasn’t cooked all the way through. My wife’s shrimp fra diavlo was«ok». Her wine pour was the last of a bottle and looked to be about half as full as normal /what other people had. On a positive note — it was a healthy pour of scotch. Draw your own conclusions — our meals were left half eaten and we left.

A little disappointing experience overall Had the Mahi Mahi which was overcooked. Both sides were served cold. Dined with a very large party that made a reservation. Only one server when there should have been two. Multiple members of our party got own drinks from the bar through out dinner.

Great place! Service and food were all excellent. We went with a large group so we ordered many apps and sampled them all. Fantastic all around. The new owners have done an excellent job. Great selection of beers too.

We have been to the Grafton Inn four times in 2015 and each time we enjoyed our experience. The accommodations were excellent and the staff at the Inn is helpful and friendly. The Pub at the Inn serves wonderful food as does the formal dining area. Each time we visited our meals were excellent. The Breakfast which comes with you room fee is outstanding. This Inn is charming and makes for a wonderful experience. We look forward to our next visit.

Went for the first time. Great atmosphere and the server had a wonderful personality. The menu said«the best fish and chips you are gonna find.» Couldn’t have been further from the truth! Informed the new owner that it was dry, not flaky and the batter tasted stale. He removed my plate and saw there was more than half left but still did nothing to compensate for it. Still charged full price and took nothing off the bill. Don’t plan on returning.

We finally decided to come here after living in Grafton for 8 years… and we were all very happy with our meals and service. The salads were awesome. The soup was amazing and our kids loved their meals. :) We all decided this was our new spot to go out to eat! The staff could not have been more pleasant and attentive!

Went to see a band here this past weekend. The band was upstairs in what looks like a function room not normally used for food, but it was a decent space. They had a cash bar and they said they could bring food up from the dining room. I got a fantastic burger and the manager/front desk person was very helpful. I’d go back again. The band was great too!

Holy terrible service batman! Came here on a week day with my family for lunch. Adults meals arrived — no kids meal for over 20 minutes. No explanation until we started asking why– only half hearted apologies & an attitude. We will never be back!

The first time we ever came here it was packed, so we ended up leaving. Tried again and got a seat, and this has been our favorite place since. The food is always delicious. The staff is very welcoming. The only thing I don’t like is the smell of flowers when you first come in, but I hate the smell of cut flowers anytime so that’s just me and my weirdness. Really great place!

I have eaten here several times over the last 10 years and enjoyed their upstairs holiday events. There’s been a steady decline in service but food quality remains as it was(3.5 to 4 star). Prices are not bad. Bring your own food to this place. I was actually afraid my wife and I would pass away before the appetizer came out. They must have checked on it 5 or 6 times??? It’s ingredients were not typical for this dish or I would have asked to have the offending items held. Really annoying after waiting 45 minutes for said appetizer. My wife had to go out side, she was ready to scream. Dinners came with ingredients applied that are usually«ask for», so we didn’t expect that. After picking it off we ate our meals. I’d rate it as OK even while starving. They are old school on the menu so read carefully! Was most dismayed no one offered to take the app off the bill as a gesture. They’re one of those places that are more interested in the $ 7 than weather you will ever come back or not. They need a serious customer service upgrade before I’ll go back.

The Grafton Inn is our go to place. The food is great and very reasonable. Great clam chowder, chicken quesadilla and lobster roll. The owners are usually around visiting tables and making sure that everything is running smoothly.

The menu is small, the restaurant is cold. The service is slow and everything leans to one side because the building isn’t level. As a child I always got Grilled Cheese so it was wonderful but as I got older I realized that it’s only mediocre. It’s nice and local, and people always seem to know each other but it’s totally overpriced for what it is.

I would like to give this place a zero to match the service I received at the bar on a Thursday afternoon . Apparently the bartender will only serve his friends when the golf game is on TV . I asked for a beer and a menu, I was looking forward to a nice burger but it was not to be because this j#rk ignored me until I got fed up and took my hard earned money to Wongs for dinner. I am Never coming back to this place, there is never an excuse to treat customers like that. Bye.

Nothing memorable or worth going out of your way for, but the Grafton Inn is a comfortable spot to grab a beer, watch a game, and eat some bar food. It’s also quite cheap compared to places in Boston or even Worcester.
