Place is now called Sidewalk. Serves live crab. Food is delicious. Must try!

I can’t even handle this news! Closing? No way! Best sushi anywhere for twenty years. Seriously, not one bad experience there. Sushi was always fresh, perfectly cut, and the rolls were great. A very friendly family business, where regulars(us) were always called by name. The neighborhood just got a little bit sadder. Why Arigato, why??? No interest at all in fresh crab. That, I can cook at home.

DONOTCOMEHERE!!! Awful service!!! Don’t come here, especially with kids. It was our first and definitely the last time here. The nasty, unprofessional, menopausal Korean woman(owner) with thick make-up came over our table and told us that we «need to tell our daughter to be quiet.» Side note: our baby just turned 1 and all she was doing was playing with her toy and babbling(she isn’t even walking yet). I’ve never seen such rude, awful customer service. Don’t come here, it’s a Korean family business and they are all rude and nasty. The food was ok, I guess, although we left immediately after that and barely touched our food and drinks. We were so devastated! We had to drive to our usual sushi place and pick up food because we were starving. We ended up paying $ 70 for a ruined evening and then more at another sushi place. Take your money somewhere else, please.

We came here for Father’s Day dinner today. Unilocal says that this place closes at 9:30. When we got here at 9, the sign said closing at 10 so we thought we were good. The first thing they tell us is we can’t take our stroller in. The sign on the door says no strollers in consideration to other customers. I would be fine leaving it in the car if it was going to be a problem but there was only 1 other group of 3 people in there and they sat on the other side of the restaurant! The guy was rude about it and our baby couldn’t sleep because we had to leave the stroller. Then, my friend ordered a combination. When you’re paying a high price for good food, you’d think it wouldn’t be a big deal for them to substitute one type of sashimi. Apparently, they are too rigid and didn’t want to substitute out one thing in their combo. I’ve never seen a place not replace something because you didn’t want it. Then, we wanted to order one more thing and the waitress told us that last call already happened when we ordered the first time. It would have been nice if she had told us then that that was last call. The food was good but the customer service left a lot to be desired. We love sushi but I’d rather spend the gas getting somewhere where they were nicer and friendly. We felt rushed because they started closing up everything while we were eating and honestly, I felt uncomfortable being there. I’ll find another place next time that is happy to have business and making their new customers into repeat customers. This place lost out.

This place has the freshest and most tasty sushi this part of the valley. The cajun albacore is just perfect with the the light cajun rub. So juicy, so fresh. Their rolls are excellent. My favorite is the rich & famous roll. It will make you feel like you’re rich & famous they say. My tastebuds agreed. The prices are good and the staff is always friendly.

Don’t listen to the nay sayers, if you’re looking for the best sushi place you just found it. I’ve gone to at least 30 sushi’s around the Valley and West LA… Ranging from gas station sushi, conveyor belt sushi to Sushi Gen and Sugarfish… Arigato sushi has the best rolls for its price range. Last Vegas Roll being simply the best tasting roll I’ve ever tried in my life. Find out for yourself. Ask for a salmon sushi at Arigato and ask for the same sushi somewhere else… You’ll know the difference. Same goes for the miso soup, or the shrimp tempura roll. I’m not affiliated in any way to Arigato Sushi– just tired of hearing people say, «x sushi place is the best», «never heard of Arigato», bla bla bla. Try it for yourself and thank me later!

My husband and I just found this place and it’s down the street from us! By far one of the best sushi spots in the valle. Fresh fish ALL the time, amazing staff, great prices and by far the best spicy tuna hand-roll in the valley. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s a must try. Family owned for over 15 years. Love the staff love the service feels like home.

I’ve been here a good dozen times and every time I have felt welcome. Every time I have felt I’m their best customer. I am not sure how some customers were not served well. The quality of the food is awesome for the price. I’m pretty adventures and there has not been any dish or specialty that I have not fell in love with. It’s worth every penny.

This place deserves a five star rating because every time I go there it seems that they are truly a genuine Japanese sushi restaurant in that they’re keeping with traditions… the portions are amazing and the prices are fair compared to a lot of other sushi bars or restaurants around town it’s a very ambient place great for families and it’s a place where I go to take the edge off with some nice beer and sushi you have to try the oyster shooters for they’re amazing!

If I could give this place 0 I would. The sushi here is great and have been coming here for years, but the service given to half of our party tonight was beyond immature and rude. This place could highly benefit from a CUSTOMERSERVICE class. The main chef acts like a child. There is nothing more ackward and embarassing when you are served all your sushi before the rest of your party does(done purposely) and kept waiting still for their food. This is the last time I will go to Arigato and will gladly take my business else where.

I love this place for a quick lunch. Usually able to get in and out very quick. Spicy tuna hand roll was real good. And they made a good rainbow roll with no shrimp for me. Only thing was it seemed a bit pricey for the amount of sushi and the roll kinda fell apart. Oh, had a couple bit so good waitresses because the place is do authentic Japanese, her English was really bit good. I kept trying too order a drink with light ice… and it can completely messed up; small glass, then no ice. Oye!

I had the spicy tuna crispy rice, the las vegas roll, the arigato roll and cucumber salad. All were very delicious and fresh. The service was also great. Hands down this is my favorite sushi spot!

Slow and unfriendly service. Food takes forever and is subpar and my Mom got her food 10 minutes before mine, by the time mine came she was finished. Will NEVER be back. SAVEYOURMONEY!

I eat A LOT of sushi all over the valley and Arigato is at the top of my list. Always fresh fish and flavors that leave you wanting more. Favorites on the menu: Love Potion roll, rich and famous roll, albacore and yellowtail sashimi! Bonus: you don’t have to miss a big game while dining. More than likely they have it on where you can see whether at the bar or booth!

The restaurant has gotten a facelift and the new décor is beautiful! The food quality is still great and delicious. I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll, Granada Hills roll, & the Las Vegas roll. If you like spicy, try the Hot Damn.

BESTSUSHIPLACEINTHEVALLEY! I love love love this place, I’ve been going for quite a while and they just recently remodeled this year and it looks even nicer now. They are so nice and friendly, I go so often that the waitress already knows me and my family. I HIGHLY recommend the Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll, the Las Vegas Roll, the Crouching Tiger and its not fancy shmancy but the eel and avocado cut roll. Best sushi rolls. It is a bit pricy but it is DEFINITELY worth it. It is never crowded so I love that I can go whenever I feel like it.

I’m not giving 2 stars because of the food. The food is always pretty much on point. Sushi is fresh and presentation is nice. The 2 stars are because the staff and owner are extremely rude. It’s one of the main reason my family and I no longer come to this restaurant. We used to visit this place on a regular basis up until a few years back. But now that I have my son and my sister has a few of her own we can no longer visit this place without the sushi chef(which I believe is the owner) and the staff making remarks if our kids make a sound. I also heard the place was recently remodeled or extended which is good cause it used to be tiny. I don’t know if I’ll visit this place again since we’ve found a good sushi restaurant to go to not too far from this one which provides good food and great service.
