This is pretty much your average Long John Silvers. They do have a little bit more limited menu than other LJS in the midwest, but the staff is always friendly and everytime I go here they apologize for the 5 minute wait while they cook my food fresh. I always reply with«No need to apologize, thank you for cooking it fresh!» LJS probably isn’t the healthiest restaurant to go to, but its great comfort food when you need something deep fried.

I tried the new Baja Fish Taco and it was all right. Not amazing for a fish taco but it gets the job done. This LJS(like many I suppose) got a recent makeover(was there a recent dip in the price of cod? Britain and Iceland almost got in a war over the price of cod in the early 80’s ask the Argentinians you don’t fuck wif Maggie Thatcher). In any case the olde tyme ‘nautical’ them is gone(but not malt vinegar – yes! which you need to soak the sodium laden filets, but not no Baja Fish Tacos) now it’s just clean booths, HDTV with no sound. Why when you go out to eat you have to look at soundless TV I don’t know, I think I’m a good conversationalist. Across the street from the wave pool so an easy place to pick up some grub afterwards. And you can ring that bell.
