Favorite Chinese carryout! I always get sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend gets shrimp fried rice. For a while, I only had to tell the server my name and she knew my order! Great service!

Cannot say enough good about the Bamboo City. Staff is friendly, service is fast and food is awesome. Wife and I have tried many of the dishes on the Chinese side of the menu and have never been disappointed! If your like Chinese, you definitely need to seek these guys out!

The food was hot and tasty but the fact that my orange chicken had pieces of sticker from the actual orange peel ruined my whole experience.

Hello fellow Unilocalers this review is on bamboo city here in Grand Junction Colorado and they do not offer sesame seed chicken and my girlfriend ate there and she don’t want anything else besides that but it’s a very clean and very quiet atmosphere during off hours I have not ate there during lunch but the dinner specials were really good and if you want Chinese food for a decent price with decent quantity I suggest this place and also get the mongolian beef that was pretty good

We got delivery! Counting the minutes! Pleasant on the phone, 40 minutes finished call at 7:53pm. All pictures look great… They need to post better pictures of the menu. They deliver within 5 miles. We r like 3 miles away. Was so hungry I forgot to time them. The guy came in faster than 40 mins thou. Fifth time I get oriental food on this side of the country. And I have to stop! Dont care for it! Bland, over cooked, expensive and sweet and sour is just not the same. I’m not just saying about this restaurant I’ve hit 5 in the last year between Ca and Co and they r all the same… Sad

(Mostly) great food! My wife loves the pad Thai and I’ve tried sesame chicken, Szechwan chicken and sweet & sour pork– all were pretty good! My only complaint has been about the potstickers. They are huge and not appetizing at all. We each took one bite of one and both of us did not want a second bite. Our waitress was super-nice and took them off of our bill. She even asked for some feedback on how they could be made differently and better. A bit tricky finding the place the first time you visit but you definitely should for a good and inexpensive Asian lunch or dinner.

Not as good as they used to be. Service is still great but the quality of food has gone down the last few times we went. Veggies aren’t as fresh and the different meats are tough. Shrimp dishes have much less shrimp in them and only veggies seem to be onions and green peppers. Boring. Sad to see this because we used to love coming for lunch.

Not impressed. Came here for lunch based on good Unilocal reviews. Ordered Szchewan Pork which was listed on the menu as spicy; in the mood for some spicy. Was exceptionally bland and not spicy in the least bit! Took three bites and asked for the check; did not hit the mark. Waitress asked if I wanted a to go box because I had barely touched the food. No thank you, if it wasn’t good now it surely won’t be good later.

The single dinner combination was amazing! My girlfriend and I split a moo goo gai pan and sweet and sour shrimp. It came with an egg roll and cheese wonton and hot and sour soup. The place was quiet and nice, probably because it’s an extra ten minutes from I-70. I’m glad I stopped in! Good food for cheap.

Ordered Thai food which was pretty bland and not very authentic. Chinese food looked good. Restaurant was nice and clean and nice staff. Don’t order Thai tho!

Maybe the rest of GJ knew about this place, but its existence was news to me the first time I went with my bf — great find! It’s kind of a strange looking place on the inside — has an odd vibe to me at least — but don’t let that scare you away. Food is super tasty and fresh. Service is totally nice. I’ve been here twice now, had pineapple chicken the first time, sliced bbq pork and snow peas the second time. Both dishes were solid. The pineapple chicken wasn’t overly sweet and rich like I’ve had elsewhere, and the sliced pork was amazing. The peas-to-pork ratio was a little pea heavy, but that’s not a huge complaint. I tried my bf’s egg foo young with beef, really delicious and filling. Think I’ll get that next time I’m around. This was my first place trying hot and sour soup, and I’m now a fan. Tried the egg drop soup too, and that was my first time enjoying that dish. At other places I’ve been to, the egg drop soup had a really off-putting gelatinous quality; not here thankfully lol. Glad to know I won’t have to travel clear across the valley from where I live to find decent Chinese now!

All I can say is that this place hit the spot! You can either order Chinese or Thai. Good Asian food is hard to find, especially in Grand Junction.

This is my go-to Asian restaurant in Grand Junction. Their lunch specials are a good deal but you get a bigger portion at dinner. I tried all the asian restaurants that GJ has to offer and this is the best with consistent quality. They don’t skimp on the vegetables and they have healthier options than the other restaurants in town. Bamboo City seems like a family run establishment with kids in the restaurant at times. If you come for a late lunch you might be eating with the owners. I have not tried their Mongolian grill but they have one and they offer unlimited trips or just one trip. I usually stay with the Thai dishes but the Chinese dishes are good as well.

This wonderful little restaurant is tucked into an unassuming shopping plaza next to my office. I tried it for convenience and return 2 – 3 times a week because they are awesome. All of the servers are attentive and help each others tables making everyone feel welcome. The variety of the 3 cuisines may worry you but don’t be… the are all prepared very well, nothing seems to come out dead from being in a steam table forever. When I am in a hurry at lunch I tell them my soup choice and hit the Mongolian Grill and the soup is waiting for me. I could go on and on… just give them a shot.

We love this place. Really good food and great service. The owners are almost always there. You can tell they want their business to succeed! We often do take out but enjoy eating at the restaurant as well.

I really enjoyed this little place. The waitress was very attentive and the place was very clean and nice. The food was great(I tried some of the Pad Thai, Pan Fried Noodles and Lo Mein and it was all delicious). I’ll definitely be back.

This place is good and delicious. Service is good and food is excellent! There a little bar where you can create your own dish but you need to ask for them to cook it. Bomb. Come back anytime any day!

Pretty mediocre overall and not that good. In a strip mall, with an odd odor that permeates the restaurant. Employees were serviceable but not very friendly or knowledgable about the ingredients. Menu is ambitious but, a tad bit pricey for Chinese. They offer a Mongolian stir fry bar like genghis grill but no one was partaking of that and were ordered off the menu only. I got Szechwan chicken and it was very Americanized, bland and boring. My best friend got broccoli chicken which was not cooked enough but did have lots of fresh vegetables. Overall a big disappointment and I would never go back.
