I went her to find my wedding dress because I love the dresses the have. Mind you this was my first time trying on dresses. Once I came in the gal that was working was very nice and offered us something to drink. We started to look at dresses and she asked what I liked. I told her what I liked and she pulled some very pretty dresses and some dresses terrible dresses. They did not have any dresses that went over a size 9. So I couldn’t not picture what the dresses would actually look like. Another point I did not like was that they did not put you in an undergarment that helped with putting on dresses. So I was holding up my girls the entire time or falling out. I was not impressed but the gal working was nice.

I’ve noticed that there were some poor reviews of this shop, but I’d just like to share my experience. This was the first shop I visited, and was warmly welcomed by the owner, who was very very helpful in working with my budget, as well as with helping me choose the style I liked best. I ended up finding a dress I loved, but left this shop not wanting to just go with my first choice, and honestly, there was really no need to leave. The other shops I visited, especially David’s bridal, were constantly trying to overreach my budget, which was frustrating, and they were also constantly trying to upsell me. I was there to shop for my dress, and enjoy the process of dress shopping. I didn’t want to hear all the extra sales pitches. I ended up going back to Victoria Rose, and I am so happy with that decision. I would definitely recommend this bridal parlor.

I came here while wedding dress shopping and felt compelled to write a review because I was absolutely terrified to visit this shop after reading other online reviews. I ended up working with the owner, who I will admit is a bit quirky, but I found her rather enjoyable to be around. If I hadn’t found the dress at another shop, I absolutely would have bought a dress from here. I remember one of the reviewers complaining about dirty dresses, and would like to address that: yeah, the hems are dirty and some of the strings on the corset closures are a bit dirty as well, but they’re SAMPLEDRESSES. You don’t actually buy the dress you and everyone else are trying on(unless you select a clearance sample dress to buy as-is). I really enjoyed shopping here. They were very patient in letting me try the same dress several times and they let me take as many pictures of the dresses as I wanted and wrote down the style names of the ones I liked for me to take.

My daughter and her bride maids got their dresses here. We visited David’s Bridal first and found that a cold experience. We didn’t even plan on going to Victoria Rose, but stopped in on a whim. They were friendly and professional. The owner sat with my daughter and went through their bridal book and used the interview to start trying on dresses. She found a gown that she loved. Later we went in with the bride maids and also had a great experience. Great fitting experience closer to the big day.

SERIOUSLYOVERPRICED! I didn’t know exactly what kind of veil I wanted to go with my dress, so I hunted online first. I decided on a very simple elbow length veil with red satin trim around the edge(to match my red shoes). The website I found it on had it advertised for $ 40 plus s/h. I’d prefer to shop locally, so I dropped by this place. $ 70!!! And she’s a total SNOT to boot! I could have maybe understood if I had told her about shopping online first, but she had no idea. I can’t justify $ 30 to shop locally. I ended up buying it on eBay for $ 10. Go figure.
