I always drive by this place and finally decided one to try it. Tried the chicken fried rice and it was very dry and tasted weird to me. I am use to having some flavor in this standard dish but here. The spring rolls were soggy and not crunchy at all. I will not be returning.

Best chinese food in Grand Prairie to date! We got tired of going to Irving everytime we wanted good Chinese food. We’d been to almost every Chinese place in Grand Prairie but it just hadn’t worked out. A coworker suggested Got rice to us and when we finally went it was all history from there! Got Rice gives generous portions of perfectly seasoned food. I ordered a half general Tsao chicken and half shrimp fried rice and the portions were so large they couldn’t even close the plate! My husband ordered hunan beef and couldn’t finish half of it. My husband(who is a picky eater) ordered from here for dinner the same day we ate here for lunch.

The food here tastes great, but only when it is fully cooked. We’d been ordering from here for a while, and always liked the portion sizes and flavor. However, the last time we ordered, my wife bit into a piece of chicken that was so rare, I think it may have started clucking. This chicken was so rare, we might as well have bitten into an egg and tried to hatch the thing in our mouths. I’m talking so rare, the answer to the question of which came first would definitely be the egg, because the chicken was so rare, it was probably still in its early evolutionary stages. Anyway, we called the place. They argued. I went and showed them the chicken. They still argued. Got my money back. Haven’t been back since.

If I could give this restaurant a negative star, I would. This restaurant is TERRIBLE! I tend to go here a lot, but that is going to change. Like I said, I USED to go here a lot but recently things haven’t been so pleasant. I ordered shrimp fried rice for pick-up and the rice seemed crunchy. Matter of fact, it was crunchy! It seemed as if they had mixed older rice with new rice and served it up. The rice was so crunchy that it tasted as if I was eating rice straight from a bag. I called them and expressed what had happened and of course, they denied it. They told me that the rice wasn’t «old» and that it was the same rice. I asked for a refund and they said they wouldn’t give it to me unless they saw the rice. Ridiculous. This place will get you sick. They have done so much wrong and its ridiculous. They shouldn’t be in business at all!!!

Horrible service apparently their egg rolls are okay to give away if they make mistakes but a 50 cent canned coke is too valuable. My time my trouble and your service is inept!

Food is great and orders are completed in a timely fashion but you can tell customer service is not their top priority.

I have been going here for years. Tonight 12÷16÷15 was the worst service i have ever received. My order was incorrect when I got home. I called and they said bring it back. Then proceeded to argue with me that the dish was correct. I know what beef looks like and taste. This was white, no beef I’ve ever seen is white. refused a refund. I will no longer order from here.

Best Chinese delivery within a 5 mile radius! I had been ordering from a so-so place before but after reading someone’s recommendation on Unilocal I decided to try this place. Best decision of the day, second only to that 3rd glass of wine. ;) I found their prices to be on par with most Chinese deliveries($ 27 for dumplings, a double order of orange chicken, and chicken lo mein), portions were more than enough for 2(possibly 3) meals, it arrived faster than I expected, and was piping hot and fresh when arrived. Dumplings — Coulda been stuffed a little more or rolled a little tighter, but as someone who’s attempted to make these at home, I know it can be challenging. Orange Chicken — best. ever. Plain and simple. Pretty sure they’ve got an orange grove in the back and use it to birth these delicious nuggets of tender chicken. It was fresh and tasty, not at all hard or overly(or underly) orangey. Perfection Lo Mein — Probably the least greasy lo mein in existence. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and lack of grease. The chicken is thinly sliced and chopped so you’re almost wondering, hey, where’s the chicken, then you realize it blends so perfectly with the noodles you’ve practically eaten a whole chicken(probably not, but you get it).

This was our favorite chinese food spot! We ordered take out so often that we got to know the delivery man! Everything we’ve tried was a winner. They have a «half and half» dinner for about $ 10 that will let you try 2 entrees, with fried or steam rice! This was perfect for those times where I couldn’t decide what to order! The portions are very generous so you can easily share. A few of my favorites: The Broccoli Hunan. They cook broccoli to perfection in a delicious black bean brown sauce. It’s kind of spicy but it’s so delicious and perfect for keeping it light. The General Tso chicken. Deliciously deep fried chicken chunks tossed in a sweet and savory sauce. When ordering this as delivery, it does not get soggy! The sweet and sour chicken. Perfectly battered chicken chunks, deep fried to a crisp with sweet and sour sauce on the side… like it should always be. The perfect amount of batter and again, it never arrives soggy. Always crispy! The chicken Lo-mein. The noodles were so flavorful and cooked with the perfect amount of veggies and chicken. Delicious! I can really go on and on. We’ve never had a bad dish. I totally recommend it!

They have the absolute best orange chicken and fried rice plate, ever. It’s a bit on the pricey side, for that specific plate, but it’s a pretty big quantity. Their lo mein could be better, though. I know they do delivery on a minimum order.

I must be missing something because today’s visit was not good. Seeing that their business is about 97% delivery, I tried the dine-in option. I ordered Orange Chicken and what I received was similar to dining from a food truck — a take-out Styrofoam container with mostly white rice, two(count them 2) pieces of broccoli and a few chicken pieces with lots of sauce. Oh, and an egg roll came with the order. The food tasted bland and did not look appealing. The wait was a little long(due to the phone ringing with call-in orders) but the employees were courteous, friendly, and the food was brought to my table quickly. I might give them another try but why? There are way too many other Asian places in this town to go back for seconds at Got Rice.

Very good tasting and big portions. Also fast and food was steaming hot even after I got home 10 mins later. So true about reusable containers being great, maybe that y food stays so hot. Egg foo young BBQ pork n beef was sooo good. Also sesame chicken was good. Crab rangoons are super big n stuffed but could be crisper

When we first moved to Texas, we lived off of Pizza Hut because we didn’t know of any asian food places in the area … well besides Panda Express. So I searched on yahoo for a place that could deliver and we found Got Rice. My brother and I start hella crackin up … «Got rice b*tch? Got rice? Got food? Got soup? Got spice?» Every asian kid knows THAT song! lol so we decide to give them a shot. We order 2 dinner plates for delivery. Broccoli beef and Orange chicken w/steamed rice. Fried rice is available for 75 cents more. Every order comes with a vegetarian egg roll, I didn’t care for them too much but my brother loved them. They said to give them 30 minuets but they were there in less than 15(we later found out it was because they were literally right around the corner from us! LOL). They don’t skimp on their portions and their food is VERY tasty. It’s a family owned joint, the parents cook and the kids run the front counter. They have decent lunch specials and their lunch portions are almost as big as their dinner plates! They also give you coupons when you order to go or get it delivered, my favorite coupon is the buy one dinner plate get another 50% off. my brother and I were eating Got Rice every weekend! I highly recommend them, I’ve never had a bad experience with their service or food. Our 3 fav dishes are broccoli beef, orange chicken, and seafood combination.
