Mario’s Pizza and Grill

Cute cozy Italian restaurant with a good selection of Italian dishes. Family own very nice service felt very welcome like in an Italian family.

This place is pretty decent. Twice in a row they have forgotten my drink when delivering to my house. This is why the rating is lower.

We love the stuffed pizza, it’s a family favorite. Order online though Unilocal and get it delivered. The dough/​crust is so good.

Phenomenal Italian food! We are thrilled to have this restaurant nearby. The sign is misleading in that they do have pizza, but more importantly I would recommend the Italian food.
Everything is good, but I wanted to mention two specific items that are exceptional and they’re not even the main courses. They are the bruschetta and Mario’s House soup.
We’ll be back again… And again!

Best Italian in Arlington and grand prairie area. Enough quantity per person. If you planning to go here for dinner before please do not eat lunch ;)

This is at least the 30^th time we’ve ordered pizza from this place. kind of a ritual for us.
We always got an order of calamari with our pizza. This time, the calamari looked much different. It looked like it was super overcooked. It had no flavor whatsoever. It was cold. It was ¹⁄₃ the amount of calamari they normally give us. It looked like it was leftover from the previous day.
I went back and told them this and they said they started using new calamari and that is how it comes out. I said back to them that I doubt that… it had to have been overcooked. She said no, it was the new calamari.
Well if that is the case, I guarantee you every single person will return their calamari and you might as well take it off the menu because all of a sudden turned disgusting.
At least their pizza is still awesome. But still disappointed by the calamari…

This place was okay. I ordered from here since it was cold and I wasn’t feeling well. Kids were pleased, as was I. I will definitely order from here again if I’m feeling sick, lazy or Italian.
Delivery was great and on time. :)

I tried this for the first time. The pros — friendly service (carry out). Cons — pizza taste was just average. I ordered a pizza with extra cheese and it still was not cheesy enough. I wonder what the regular would be if extra is like this. Anyhow, it’s okay. Just had a pizza so can’t comment on how the other items are.

This place has really gone down the drain, sadly!
Very bad experience here, after ordering our pizza and waiting over 30 mins, it turns out they gave our pie to someone else!
When we complained the response was, «what’s the big deal?» Literally, that is what the owner told us!
To top it off, our order was wrong. Also, the pizza undercooked and unremarkable in taste. I’ve never really enjoyed their pizza, but today was probably the worst experience we’ve had!
Stay far, far away.

My first time eating here… Pizza was poor in taste and likely in quality, as well.
Service and management was rude and uncaring. Not to mention that the ambience is threadbare and space is tight.
Not a fun place to eat in, and I can only imagine how disappointed I would be if this was delivered to me at my home.

Love this place, family owned best Italian place I’ve been to in a long time. The chicken aristocrat is my favorite. Everything we’ve ever had has been great. This is a byob place which is a plus. Highly recommend this place.

Well I assume this is an Italian restaurant. I ordered spaghetti and meatball. Boy was I disappointed. The sauce was runny and tasteless I had two mouth full and I took it to go. I couldn’t eat it. It was inedible. My husband tried it when he got home from work and his comment were «why, did you do something to the cook for him to serve you this, you should’ve left it on the table and leave so that he can see how bad the food was»
I still have to keep searching for a good place to eat some Italian food since I just moved into this neighborhood. This is just an embarrassment and disgrace

Haha. No but for real, the food is delicious, friendly service and it doesn’t break the bank!

But I would stay away from the multiple meat topping pizzas– my stomach doesn’t handle it well. Next time I will keep it simple, just lots of cheese, mushrooms, and any one meat. I also like the diff dessert options they have. The pasta dishes are great too

Every time my husband and I come here, the staff remembers us and is so helpful.
I also haven’t had one dish here that I wouldn’t give 5 stars to. So rich and authentic.
I also appreciate that they let me play around with the dishes. I love vodka sauce and olives!
Delivery has always been prompt and correct, so that’s a plus!
Anyways, don’t pass this place up!

I am enjoying my food as I sit here and write this review. Everything is delicious!
I came here looking for soft food to eat (wisdom teeth were pulled a few days ago) and everything has been so yummy and savory.
I ordered the eggplant parm — — great! Probably the best I’ve had. It comes with a side and I chose the cream of potato soup — — delicious! The pieces of potatoes almost melted in my mouth… Absolutely perfect for my teeth. And I always like trying every restaurant’s alfredo sauce… It’s SO good. Absolutely delish. On a separate occasion, I’ve also tried the Margarita pizza. Delicious as well.
This place is a little hidden gem. If you’re looking for Italian, Mario’s won’t disappoint.

Everything was pretty average. It was raining and I didn’t feel like driving. They just happened to be one of the places that delivers to my house.
Got the tour of Italy. Edible but that’s it. I was hungry. Honestly wouldn’t order here again though.

This place should strictly be just for take out. Do NOT dine in.
I came here with my old friend two hours before closing. The service here is… Awkward. As in they do not know when to come place orders, leave you alone — wait scratch that, they definitely know how to leave you alone, explain the menu, etc. It just takes some time, understandable.
The food here is AWESOME. I got the spinach and chicken Alfredo, and my friend ordered the meat lovers pizza. My chicken was moist, the cheese wasn’t cheap, everything tasted great. So great, i bumped the 2 stars up to 3.
What gets to me just loops back to service. They’re very amateur. Seems like they’re sisters or something but while i’m trying to look around for my waitress, she’s in a corner with her gal pals gossiping. The table behind us didn’t leave tip and they were hush hush COMPLAINING about it. Seriously? Keep that to yourselves or until after hours. If you want tip, provide better customer service. Whenever she rang up my ticket, she came back and said, «The system was acting up so I wrote the tip/​total line for you.» I left her an exceptional $ 3 and just called it a night. If you can’t even refill my water, i’m sorry, but you need to fix your attitude about this.

How did I not know about this place? I have been missing out big time. Fellow Unilocaler Yolanda M. and I decided to try Mario’s for dinner and boy were we in for a treat. We walked in and were kind of confused about how to order but we were shown to a table after we informed the staff that we were dining in. After looking at the menu and being overwhelmed quite a bit, we decided on our orders. I ordered the pasta trio, which was fabulous! Next time I want to try the Tour of Italy.
The ambiance was great, the service was great as well. I enjoyed reading fun facts about Italy while seated at the table, I learned quite a bit. This restaurant is awesome and I can’t believe I just now discovered it.
