Unfortunately, they’re now closed. It’s a shame since they’re food was quite yummy. Sign says«The Crusty Texan» coming soon… ?? Hard to find a good pizza joint in GP since Isabella’s closed. GP definitely needs more variation when it comes to food options. Fast food is not the end all be all!

Love the pizza! Always go with 3 – 4 people and we share a large. Its enough for all of us along with ind. salads and bread. If your from GP then you know and miss the old Millars that used to inhabit this place, BUT its nice to see a good restraunt making it there. Staff is friendly, but a little overwhelmed if busy. Oh! also you can bring your own beer/wine. I recommend for sure!

Holy spaghetti and MEATBALLS, Batman!!! These balls are Gianormous! **RECOMMEND: the Slice of Pizza: HUGE& Loaded with toppings! Get the Supreme & a fork, you’ll Need it! I had the Stromboli which was great. It was about average size but stuffed to the Max, I’m talking pepperoni, italian sausage & loads of Cheese. My buddy had the philly cheese steak sandwich, and this sucker was a lil longer than a Footlong and definitely a Two-handed situation. Fried Calamari… EHHH, not that good, a lil bland. It looked like it’d be flavorful but tasted like nothing but fried chewy batter bites. I assume it was previously frozen b/c it was really really chewy. This mom & pop joint has an Excellent staff that is friendly.

My family and I have eaten at Joes’s a few times. We’ve only ever had the pizza which is pretty good. The Joe’s Special is awesome(basically a supreme). Although the pizza is good, what keeps us from going more often is the service. The waitresses are nice enough, but the wait is riduculous. We went with 8 other people and we were the only one’s in the resteraunt. My wife ordered a side salad before our meal. After 25 minutes of waiting we cancelled it. The pizza took approximatelry 30 – 40 minutes to come out. Thank God the bread on the table was good!

I have eaten at this location when it was Millar Drug(they had great burgers) and when it was Main St Café(their chicken fried steak was awesome). So when I was interested when it became Joe’s. Being from the east coast, I certainly miss the pizza back home. The pizza is pretty good; I would certainly order it again and again(and have). Their meatballs are not good at all, in my opinion, just not flavorful. My sister loves Alfredo and her only issue with their alfredo sauce is, in her opinion, it is too cheesy. I love the cheese… so I think it’s wonderful. I recently tried their Fried Chicken Alfred… I was pleasantly surprised and raved for a few days about it. Their salads are pretty standard but their bread is quite delicious. This is a local spot that my family and I frequently visit, and are so excited that they deliver now too! I do worry about the location, as it has not had a good history. Hoping this one sticks!

In the quest for quality lunch eateries in GP… it looks like this has become a #1 contender! Recently came here for lunch with colleagues while we were hosting an ethics conference. We decided we needed to take the keynote speaker somewhere nice, and nothing in GP immediately came to mind. Having been here once before, I thought that it would be a worthy option. The location Joe’s is in has hosted several restaurants while I have worked in GP… I think it’s just not a great city for dining out(obviously). The décor is pretty much exactly the same as when it was a family style diner… just with red and white checked table cloths now. Guess that’s the Italian part. The place is never super crowded, but they always have steady business. Waitresses seem somewhat overwhelmed, and are never too friendly. They are efficient though which is all I could ask for. The food is typical Italian… nothing that is going to blow your mind. The lunch specials are pretty extensive and are ridiculously generous portions, to include a small side salad. I have always left this place feeling ridiculously full. I really should consider a to go container next time. My only complaint is that the cheese ratio is a little high for me and sometimes upsets my tum a bit. I usually scrape off some of the blanket-o-cheese to find my pasta underneath. They have a pretty large menu though I would not order from the regular menu during lunch as the prices range from about $ 10-$ 12 a plate. For GP and the average quality of the food I think this is overshooting just a tad. Next time I think I will try the pizza by the slice… only $ 2.50 and $.25 for additional toppings. Not bad. All in all, this is a great place to try if you are in GP. I mean, what other options are there… REALLY!!!
