Wienerschnitzel was at the heart of my existence back when I was a child. My mother and I would always walk here and get a Frito Pie; however, both chains that were near my home both closed suddenly without notice. 10 years later, I finally find one near the outlets and I decide to let my younger siblings experience the nostalgia that I was held deep down. To my surprise this place does not even carry Frito Pies and the customer service was subpar. The cashier rushed us even though there was not a rush inside nor outside. We waited 15 minutes for a «root beer» float that he forgot about and to further my experience I noticed a hint of bias towards others of his own race as he would treat this customers with free drinks and a polite demeanor. What a joke of a restaurant, no wonder the other branches closed. To further my point, the item I ordered(the loaded bacon street) was at most a 2⁄10. The bacon was burnt, the cheese was nonexisting. This place is a joke and could never rival sonic’s dogs. This place was so bad that it destroyed my childhood memories and forced me to make my first Unilocal review.

This location has become abysmally slow in processing orders and the price is just continue to go up and up and up. Going through the drive-through you could also just bring a pillow to take a nap. Once you get to the window the staff is friendly, greets you nicely, but they don’t really want to give you extra napkins. For the three cars in front of me plus my card to get through the lineup took well over 12 minutes. Believe me I was watching no one had large orders. They have a sign that says people love them on Unilocal I don’t seem to be seeing much love from the reviews that I’m reading.

I come here regularly with my mom and I never thought to Unilocal this place until I realized Weinerschnitzel is one of the most underrated fast food chains. It makes me sad because they have the best chili cheese dogs and chili cheese fries(puts Sonic to shame) They also have different types of hot dogs and their polish sandwich with sauerkraut is delicious! Super simple and small but not dirty at all.

Love love love their food! Best chili cheese fries and hot dogs I’ve ever had. Definitely try the all beef dogs it’s worth the upgrade the hot dogs are much bigger and very juicy. The staff is friendly and helpful and the family who owns the place is always really nice and runs the place extremely professionally. The place is always clean and well kept and I enjoy the food every time I go!

I love this chain but hate this location. The manager is rude and no one is wearing gloves handling your food. She also tries to add extra charges that are on listed on the menu. I will not be back again!

Love love love… And worth the drive from Irving :) The best chili cheese dogs and fries in the world. Can’t get any better than this. Quality is the best. Price is worth it when I spend $ 10 plus, which I always do. The staff is extremely friendly. I always get the same lady to take my order and she is always great. Not understanding why they closed some locations such as Irving… I hope they don’t close this location ever. They need to add more of these love dog places in the world!!! This location could use a bigger building, but it’s still a comfortable environment. If you don’t like chili and cheese, then they got other choices as well that still will make your experience love :) and you are not a hot dog fan or chili and cheese fan, you are at the wrong restaurant!!!

I’ve only been through the drive-thru at this Wienerschnitzel, but the service is still great and the food is even better. I love the chili cheese fries with bacon and ranch. I can’t go here without ordering at least one of those. They have really great deals on chili dogs every once in a while, but the food isn’t very expensive in general. Fairly large variety of hot dogs and the employees are always enthusiastic to let you customize your order to however you like. My boyfriend sometimes buys a family meal and we chow down on these crack dogs for the whole day. Highly recommend for you to try it out!

Not only is Der Wienerschnitzel the world’s largest hot dog chain, I think it might be the only hot dog chain.(Nathan’s doesn’t count!) And I’ve never had anything but an excellent experience in more than 35 years of off-and-on noshing on this company’s hot dogs. I’ve stopped at this(Grand Prairie) location maybe 4 – 6 times over the past several years and have always received excellent friendly service and the fantastic hot dogs that Der Wienerschnitzel is known for. — If you’ve never tried them, grab a dog on the pretzel bun. This place was doing pretzel buns way before Sonic, Wendy’s and the like jumped on the bandwagon.(And Der Wienerschnitzel’s pretzel buns are still superior.)

This place is small in the inside, which I’ve only went in once. We have come here a few times and stopped by the drive thru looking for something different to pick up on our way home from being out and about over there. We lived off of I-20 so it was just down there street. They usually have different deals going on that hook you right in to getting more food than you probably need. Like 5 for $ 5 corn dogs or chili dogs. They have good prices and fast service. Not the greatest hot dogs, but they are decent.

This is primarily a drive through place, only has about 6 tables inside. I was excited about the menu since I love hotdogs. I ordered the Deluxe and Chicago dogs and an order of chili cheese fries. My wife got the angus pastrami dog. The first bite into the Chicago dog was great, but the amount of pickled toppings started getting to me. I eventually had to just scrape all the relish off to make it edible. By the time I got to the deluxe dog, I had to remove the whole pickle. The chili cheese fries were nothing special. Just cheap chili over curly fries with shredded cheddar on top. The pastrami dog was pretty good. It’s a hotdog with shaved pastrami on top. I really enjoyed the texture and flavor of the pastrami. Overall, the food was ok, nothing to write home about. There’s a hotdog place off Greenville in Dallas that was just amazing!

Not much to say here just to the point. Very good chili dogs, and corn dogs. I only go Wienerschnitzel when I’m across town. But they are a good hot dog. Worth going to.

Bummed, no more pretzel hot dogs anymore… That’s what made this place so great!
