Grand Rapids City of

Grand Rapids is located on the Grand River about 25 miles east of Lake Michigan.
It is the home of five of the world’s leading office furniture companies, and nicknamed Furniture City. AKA River City-​landmark river for which it was named.
Also home to: John Ball Park, Belknap Hill, and the Gerald R. Ford Museum, and former First Lady Betty Ford. You can also find Significant buildings in the downtown– the DeVos Place Convention Center, Van Andel Arena, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, and the JW Marriott Hotel.
My husband and I were on our way to Traverse City and was passing through. We wanted to have lunch and found a Vegan restaurant in the downtown area. Traffic was not bad (lucky enough we didn’t hit rush hour), roads were somewhat smooth, town was not dumpy. Thought there would be heavy construction going on and difficult to get around, but it was easy access. Found street parking right away.
If we happen to drop by again, I would like to try the breweries.
