Touch of Class Auto Wash & Quick Lube

I arrived at 7:55am for a simple car wash; I was first in line. The business is supposed to open at 8am and I didn’t roll into the wash bay until 8:08am and there were 5 cars lined up behind me. (I had tried to call at 8:05 but there was no answer.) I went through the wash and noticed soap suds still on my side mirrors, and then upon further inspection, found suds all over the back end of my car (I have a Jeep Patriot).
When I went back to ask for a rinse, I was told there was no way I could just get a rinse (they can’t turn off the soap) and the wash I bought didn’t allow them to run me through a second time. I explained I was concerned only about the suds, I didn’t need another wash — just wanted the soap gone. The manager told me he would let me have another wash for free, but the next time this happens, they will not. Like they were doing me a favor or something!
The second time produced the same results, so I went back to the entrance and asked for a bucket of water. The kid working there acted like I wanted a second free wash. Finally, though, he brought out a bucket, but as he poured water on my car, THAT water was soapy. Argh! He said he rinsed it out as best as he could. Huh.
What should have taken about 4 minutes ended up costing me 25 minutes and they’ve lost a customer to boot. Not happy at all with the wash and especially the poor service, and I’ll never go back.
