I used to get GREAT deals here. Used to! Most food prices are way to high. I could literally buy most of their food at the same price at my local grocery store and not get past expiration date or dented cans. Occasionally, I’ll get a good deal in the freezer case. Bottom line… Better prices several years ago, educated shoppers will keep from paying too much, worth a look if in area. Otherwise, skip it!

It’s not as good as it once was. As a thrifty shopper, I used to find some great deals at the Bargain Factory; not to mention, great coupons for additional savings. Bargin Factory seemed to understand it was a damaged freight store and they priced items as such. About a year ago things took a dramatic change for the worse. All of a sudden my Bargain Factory started to think it was a Constantino’s Price Chopper with $ 5.00 a gallon milk and climbing prices on all other damaged freight products. Not to mention they made the coupons way less valuable and added expiration dates which they diligently abide by and don’t even think of attempting to return something. We used to stock up big and spend 70.00−100.00 bucks there a month, easy. Now if we go there we spend under 15.00. I will shop in a terd hole store for good prices but if I am going to almost pay retail might as well go to Overland Park and shop.

This place is like a cross between a big lots and a low budget swap meet located inside some bizarre former warehouse/corporate structure. It is best described as a poor man’s Red X(YES, you read that right!). In addition to the usual overstocks, factory rejects and whatever else there is a fascinating flea market in the rear of the sprawling interior. If the amount of dangerous goods produced overseas scares you at all– this is not the place for you. If you have no problem buying food, toys, beauty supplies of questionable origin then shop on! Questionable origin is the key word here, but an interesting supply of odd items that may be worth it if you’re in the area. However, me thinks a lot of the«bargain» thinking comes from the crumby interior and nonexistent store design. The uniqueness is the bright point if there is one.
