Don’t Mess With Texas BBQ

I really wanted to like their BBQ brisket, I was so looking forward to it. But it did not measure up to Hickory Stick Bar-​B-​Q in Fort Worth, TX. The brisket in my opinion was just to fatty and they taste was not as good. I made my wife have lunch with me although she can not eat beef (IBS). However, she did say your sweet beans and potato salad were good.

He owns the place — cooks the BBQ — answers the phone when you call (I know because I called first…) and personally greets you and thanks you when you come up. «Is it your first time today» he said? I said — yeah — and he lit up like a Christmas tree telling me all about the homemade sausage, brisket, pork and homemade sides — this man loves the food — and I did too! So yeah — I tried it all.
Great flavor — he has sauce — Regular and spicy — but you wont need it. I mean its good stuff but the meat is perfect — AS IS. Its moist, and smoky… and seasoned perfectly. and he doesnt short you — its a good portion!
Sandwich will run ya about $ 7 for pork $ 8 or $ 9 for brisket — hell you can even combine all the meat for a little more. and you should — especially your first time because they are all REALLY good!
I think what I like best is that you feel like you’re really getting something special here. its only open on Saturday — Sunday from 11:30 til its out… makes you feel like you’re kinda in the know… Not only that — but its also great to support something local.

Went back again today for a family reunion everyone loved it. Wanted to know who cooked the brisket, I said my friend’s at don’t mess with Texas BBQ. I didn’t get enough went back Sorry Sold Out! Next Time I Will Know Better. It was Great.

This is bar none, the best bbq in town. This is 5 star flavor from a small package. The very definition of «craft bbq». I would suggest anyone and everyone stop by for brisket and pork, beans, and pudding.
