Heard great things about the pizza. My son and I went here and ordered the Cesar salad to start the waitress told us that a small was enough for two. Maybe two ladies but not two full grown men. The salad was really good in fact wish we had ordered two. We ordered the eighteen inch pizza with roasted red peppers mushrooms green pepper and Italian sausage. The pizza was pretty good at first until we noticed that they forgot to put the sausage on it. A veggie pizza gets old fast if you are a meat eater. The sauce gets cold quick because they put it on top of the cheese instead of the traditional way. The manager came over and apologized for the sausage and compt the pizza. They brought out some hot sausage and we added it on top. The pizza crust was very good but the sauce was a bit bland. We will give it another shot because they tried and the lay out of the restaurant and atmosphere was very cool. I really wanted to like this place more and will be back to give it another try only because the manger took care of us.

Best pizza in the area. I give 4 stars only because the center is always raw; even though we order it well done every time. Also, the service typically leaves something to be desired. We sat outside tonight 15 minutes before asking for someone to wait on us. Luckily, Tracey saved the night and gave us the best service we’ve had at this establishment. We’ll be back.

We tried the anti pasta and the bread was days old. Manager took off bill but I asked them to try it and they didn’t. Do not serve it if you will not eat it Pizza was very good but over priced, service was good.

This is the closest Grimaldi’s to us and it’s very good. This is my goto for Pizza. When we eat there, I always get the sense that everyone is watching us. But hey, if they want to watch me eat great Pizza, then so be it!

Grimaldi’s Grimaldi’s Grimaldi’s WOWWOWWOW. No matter the location, the Pizza is giant slices of NY coal oven style fabulousness. I grew up in NYC so I grew up eating NY pizza & Grimaldi’s in New York is one of my all time fave’s. I was so psyched when they opened a location in Grapevine near the airport. I’m always in the area & travel thru DFW airport all the time so it’s a perfectly convenient location for me. I’m a super busy person & location location location matters. I wish I had tons of free time to sit down & write more Unilocal reviews. If I wrote a review for every place I went I would have thousands of reviews. In a perfect world where money grew on trees I would review every restaurant. Unilocal is a incredibly useful app for finding great food when reviewers take it serious & write well informed reviews of places that deserve them good or bad. On a side note, I never write a review of a place I been to just once only mediocre places I would never return. More importantly, Unilocal is not a game to me. If I want to collect votes, likes, scores etc., I will play a game of solitaire or pac man on my phone. Having said that, believe me when I tell you that if you haven’t tried Grimaldi’s you need to ASAP. Some people speculate that the crust taste the way it does bc of the taste of the water the dough is made with in NYC. Some say it’s the flour blend. I’m not sure what their secrets are, I only know they have a super unique crust. I also love the choice of toppings you can get on your pizza. The artichokes & spicy chicken sausage is YUMMY! Add ham, bacon, jalapeño & Gorgonzola 2.die.4. My family’s fave pizza. We also love the meatball & ricotta cheese :)’ It pairs well with the Tuscan wine they have on the menu, the Della Torre. It’s my fave bottle of wine they offer, I get it every time. The salads are all fantastic & they are YUGE. You only need to order one for a family of 4. They also serve illy espresso! LOVE that! I use illy coffee & espresso at home it’s my fave ;) However, none of that is why I sat down to finally write this well deserved review. The reason for this review is their Blueberry Cobbler NY cheesecake. Yep. BLUEBERRYCOBBLERNYCHEESECAKE !!! I have never been a sweet eater. Never. My hubby likes sweets & he orders them. Last visit, I watched my husband eating this cheesecake, making all these infant noises of pure joy, his eyes rolling back in his head, all the while cramming his pie hole with this white cloud like slice of heaven. It had fresh blueberries, whip cream & these crumbles on top, he was getting more on his shirt then in his mouth & not seeming to be aware that he was in public lookin like he was experiencing some sort of divine intervention. He devoured it & made a complete mess of himself like a 2 year old. He then ordered one to go. The next morning, I opened my frig & saw this beautiful slice of creamy fluffy purple crumbly thing sitting there in a clear plastic container & without hesitating, decided to try this pure endorphin inducing slice of heaven for myself. Since then, my life has forever been altered. I can no longer say I don’t eat dessert. Everything I thought I knew about cheesecake went right out the window. I have tried many NY cheesecake &IMO they are disgusting. I thought I hated cheesecake. Not this cheesecake. Who ever made this Blueberry cobbler NY Cheesecake needs a freakin Blueberry Cobbler NY cheesecake Award. I hate to admit it, but for once, hubby is right! LOL Best cheesecake EVER. Highly recommend.

Grimaldi to me is one of the best ingredient wood fired pizza in the area. Always good crust, and plenty of what you choose on the pie, made perfectly. Good wine list and reasonable prices. Service is always good even when busy, they have it down. It does get busy btw. One thing to note, I’ve found it great to eat there, but imo it doesn’t travel far… well. So be prepared to heat it up to regain what you want from a pizza.

My first time here. Very good pizza, thin crust which is the way I like it. Large Dom is $ 25 so they are proud of them. Service was good, we asked for a lot of extras, server was good about it. «Upscale atmosphere» if that’s what you’re into.

We’ve been to Grimaldi’s twice now and both times have been great. The wait staff has been pleasant and very knowledgeable and the food has been outstanding. If you get a salad be forewarned that they are huge. My family of four can split a small. We’ve tried the Cesar and house and both are good. The pizza is awesome and we contribute it to the coal oven. You can’t get that taste any other way. We’ve tried The Don twice and the Brooklyn Bridge and both were really tasty. I would recommend adding ricotta cheese to The Don. Give this place a try… you won’t be disappointed.

Nice, upscale, bistro-vibe. Feels like I should order Wine with my Pizza. We selected a Mediterranean Salad — which was large enough for 3 of us, and a large Don pizza, with includes Italian Sausage, Meatballs, and Pepperoni. All was really good, and while the prices initially look high, the portions are large. A large Don($ 25) and Mediterranean Salad($ 11) fed three and we had a slice of Pizza left to take home. I’ll definitely go back.

If I had to spend my last few dollars on a pizza, it would be grimaldis! Whenever I come in I just get a normal pepperoni. The ingredients taste fresh, from the cheese to the dough to the sauce. Also the brick oven gives the crust a nice char. The pizza is a little pricy maybe 14 for a large cheese and $ 2 a topping ish? Other drawback about this location is the small parking lot. But please give this place a shot you won’t be disappointed.

My friend wanted to go to Grimaldi’s because we had been eating at burger places for the two previous days and she wanted something different. We waited 30 minutes for 2 personal pizzas. Considering there was only a handful of people in the restaurant, I don’t think it should have taken that long. I got the Margherita and it was ok. The pizza wasn’t burnt like previous posts I’ve read, so that was a plus. The sauce wasn’t that great and it was so cold in there that the sauce was cold only after being delivered to our table a few minutes prior. I’ve had plenty of New York pizza and this pizza wasn’t up to par. As for the service, a lot was left to be desired. The Hostess sat us right away. It took a while for the waitress to come over and take our drink orders. She wasn’t friendly and seemed kind of annoyed that she was working. Although, when she was hanging out at the Hostess desk she was all smiles and full of energy. After we got the bill, we needed change, which took WAY too long. When she finally returned, I said, «Thank you!» Her response was, «Yup.» Where have everyone’s manners gone? Anyway, we probably shouldn’t have tipped because tips are for good service, which we didn’t receive, but we did.

Service was definitely friendly from beginning to end but I just can’t see the justification in buying two large pizzas and two appetizers for $ 100. The crust is nice and crispy just the way I like it and each desired ingredient is proportionally served but again I just don’t see the justification in spending $ 100 here

I went to Grimaldi’s with a group of friends. All I heard on the way there is how good it was and how it was a Brooklyn staple for many years. Expectations were high. We got there and we saw the menu. The pizza is reasonably priced if you only get cheese, BUT if you want ingredients, the prices PERINGREDIENT are $ 3 to $ 4…WHAT? That adds up quickly! I was hoping for some pasta or something else, but they only sell pizza and a couple of salads. We ordered a salad, drinks etc. The caprese salad was meh. The house white whine was pretty good. The soda was flat. Anyway, we asked the waitress how many people the large pizza would feed because there were 4 of us and I am a vegetarian, so I was going to order a personal pizza just for me. She said the large feeds 5 people easily. We ordered the large and we figured that there was only 4 of us so there was no need for more than a large. The pizza came and it was practically burned! Nobody said anything because it took kind of a while to get there and everyone was hungry. I honestly thought it was super flavorless. Didn’t like it at all. The sauce didn’t taste like anything. I do like thin crust pizza though, I just wish it hadn’t been burned. The pizza was not at all enough to feed all 4 of us, we all left super hungry, we were only able to eat 2 slices each and the slices are not super big, there are also cut super irregular, so you may get a mega slice and your friend a super small one. We had cannoli and it was just meh. Next time, take the gun and leave the cannoli! We left after paying an expensive bill as far as pizza goes, and went to get some fast food because we were all still hungry. Not thinking about going back.

Shut your mouth! Unless you’re opening it to put pizza in, in that case, dELiciOUs! I’ve had Cane Rosso as my #1 in D/FW, however now I’m torn. It’s really a situation where they’re both #1, it just depends on your taste buds that day. This pizza is sensational. It’s the kind that makes you say how good it is in disbelief all the way through, and while getting back in your car?! When I picture what the perfect pizza in Italy would be, this is it. In fact eating it at Grimaldi’s really puts you there. The ricotta is perfect, and must be made in house fresh. All the ingredients are the highest market and over the top. I like mine a little well done and my husband doesn’t, so we get two separate pizzas. For the mid-cities area, this is the best by far and will replace Cole Vines from now on without hesitation. Great patio and indoor/outdoor bar to enjoy great weather. Thank god they put this place right here for us to have something exceptional, rather then having to drive all the way to Dallas or Fort Worth. Vino Veritas @ Grimaldi’s!!!

One of my favorite pizza joints. I typically go to the one in West Village(Dallas) but met a few girls at the Grapevine location last night for wine and zaa. This location was just as good as the Dallas one. Don’t come here if you are looking for a full menu though. They only have pizza, salad, and some antipasti. However — if you are looking for some good pizza — this place rocks! Their sauce is delicious and their toppings are great. Typically we order a large red sauce pizza with meatball, black olives or mushrooms, and ricotta and it is AMAZE! Only thing to note is EACH topping is $ 2(sometimes more) which is a tad absurd in my opinion, and you can’t load on the toppings without spending a fortune. They don’t have any«pre-designed» pizzas, so you have to pick out your pizza completely and choose everything. Not necessarily a bad thing but don’t expect to just pick a pizza with toppings chosen for you.

I’m sticking with my 4 star rating for Grimaldi’s but that’s only because the pizza is so good in a city where it’s so limited. The service here was not really good at all. The waitress seemed uninterested and was more interested in getting us to order and get out. The GM didn’t really acknowledge us even though we’ve been there several times. We may start going to the uptown location.

Love Grimaldi’s. Like Top 5 Favorite Pizza Joints love. Though last night was my first visit to this location, I’ve been chowing down Grimaldi’s delicious pizza for years(well, for a couple of years and I went on a four-year break while living in London) followed by my triumphant return last night(which is going to again be followed by a break after I return to London). So there is no better way to do Grimaldi’s than to start with their caesar salad followed by a pepperoni + sausage pizza and accompanied by a beer or wine. It’s complete heaven and I wish so badly we had Grimaldi’s in London, or even Minneapolis which I frequent more often than Dallas. This restaurant location has a large open bar area where one wall opens to the outside so everyone can melt away in 100 degree temperatures. Not sure on the design but I wouldn’t mind kicking back a few in, say April, when the weather is still bearable. Go here. Eat pizza. Be happy.

Great Pizza! We ordered extra sauce($ 2) and extra basil($ 2)… our pizza did not have $ 2 worth of sauce or basil on it… even combined… we got a side of sauce for another $ 2 charge after complaining, and it wasn’t even good sauce… it tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes…

I have been here a few times with my girls for HH… I always show up late so I have never actually ordered… Last night we ordered Margarita pizza. It was good. Nothing Outstanding that I will crave. I do like the pizza has burnt spots… Call me odd but that’s my all time favorite part of pizzas! This is the perfect spot for a HH with wine and pizza!
