Went to Grapevine for dinner went to a few places after dinner and reluctantly stumbled on this gem in the ruff. Amy was a great host and server. A must go if you come to grapevine for wine tasting! You won’t regret it. I’ve been to Napa and I feel I finally have a standard. Homestead meets my standard for a Texas Winery.

Wanted to set up a large group tasting event and this was the right place for us! Debra lead our group of 16 through both Homestead’s wide array of selections as well as some of their international selections available. It was a very memorable for us all. We’ll be back! Thank you Homestead!!!

Only place I have ever been cut off! The wine was so good my party and I had more then we originally planned. They were very nice about it and they were very knowledgeable about their wines. Great staff, great wine and great atmosphere!

This was our last stop on our winery tour. The tasting room lacked atmosphere and the wines were not that great. Compared to our other stops this was the worst of the lot. The tasting room had five plastic folding chairs and a makeshift bar. It looked they were renovating, perhaps the place will have more charm in the future. A little music might be nice too.

This vintage house from the 1800s outshines the service and matches the wines. For $ 7 you get 5 tastes. The woman who helped us out must have had something my important to do, as she was on her cell phone texting. Wines were decent and not too sweet. Walk ins welcome. Not all wine is grown in Texas.

We have been coming here since August of 2014. Can’t believe that we have been living close by for So long and never knew about this place. We like the relaxed atmosphere and have found the staff friendly and attentive. So much so that we have been bringing our friends and family since. This isn’t a high end snooty place, it’s like drinking in your own backyard.

I love this place! I’ve been a wine club member for a year and really enjoy the release parties and the selection of wines — Merlot is my favorite right now! They offer lots of fun activities(met friends for Christmas tree corking tonight) and staff is very flexible and accommodating. Definitely my favorite in Grapevine!

Great winery. The staff is so nice and helpful. The wine is very good and not expensive at all. It is worth the try. The tasting is 7 dollars for 5 glasses. Be care end eat first because they poor a generous amount. Will be back. Oh and they have a wine glass painting class!

The pic and the old house seem cool. However, I can not say the same thing to the wine. The wine selection is poor and cheap. Type of cheap wine that gives you headache the next day… Disappointed on that…

This tasting room is in a old house that has a lot of charm, you are free to walk around during your tasting. The tasting room is on one side of the house and there is a little gift area on the other. When I first walked in I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised and I would recommend trying this place to anyone. I brought my boyfriend and his coworker and they both enjoyed the experience even though they are not winos like me. The tasting is $ 7 per person and you get to taste 5 different wines. The tasting room attendant was very knowledgeable and gave recommendations of wines to try. The wines surprised me they were very flavorful. The moscato was mildly sweet. I am not normally a fan of the sweet wine family but it was delicious. I also tried their chocolate rose which was icing on the cake. It is not your typical chocolate wine. It is actually a red wine that is infused with dark chocolate! I wanted to buy bottles for everyone I knew but I wouldn’t be able to fit them in my carry on.

My last visit to Homestead Winery was absolutely HORRIBLE! Just thinking about this winery leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. My friends have the same thoughts as well. We stopped at Homestead after D’Vine Wine and then Farina’s on my 30th birthday on August 2nd. We had a party of less than 10 people. Upon entering, it was fairly busy; busier than I had previously experienced. There were two women working the tastings that day. I told the older woman that my friends and I would like to do the tastings. She said in these exact words, «We don’t have enough glasses, so you’ll have to buy a bottle or a glass and sit in the front.» There were several glasses available behind them. Both women had an extremely RUDE attitude. My party was never disrespectful; we were in shock really. Despite the attitude, they did allow us to do the tastings after all. Their attitude continued, however, every time one of us would approach the bar for another tasting. At some points they AVOIDEDEYECONTACT. I will not return to Homestead. It is a shame because I had a decent experience here during my first visit in May for the Wine Trail. Go to D’Vine Wine instead. You’ll have a much more positive experience any where off Main St…

My favorite tasting during my trip to downtown Grapevine. It is a quaint little winery. The tasting room is standing room only. There is limited seating, but it is worth it. The wines all have a bit of a pepper taste, which I personally loved. They allowed small tastes of certain wines that did not count against your tastings. I basically got seven tastings for the price of five. All wines were delicious. The server was very knowledgable and willing I answer all questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation for a wine! Loved it and I will be back soon!

Cute little wine tasting room — this was not a winery. The place is pretty worn down, but it is only half a block from the strip of downtown Grapevine shops, so worth a walk. They have picnic tables and chairs outside. No real seating inside. The tasting was $ 7 for 5 tastings and you can choose red and white. No food or snacks, but there is a Mex restaurant directly across the street.

Went to this«winery» as part of a 3-part tour. The guide warned us that it was ‘worn’. So, we weren’t disappointed. The exterior of the house needed care — but that’s not why we were there! They had a really great selection of wines for tasting. There was one wine with an upcharge — this was a surprise to me. I thought, «eat the two bucks Homestead». But, hey, maybe margins are tight? Other than that, please understand that you don’t go there for the ambiance. Go there to taste and see. Case pricing was good. i will go back there just to buy the wines.

Traveled to Dallas for pleasure and on our last day decided to head to Grapevine and explore. We stumbled across this winery as it was one of the few open on a Monday. So glad it was! The winery is located in a very casual, shabby chic old house. Very welcoming and not pretentious at all. Budget friendly tasting($ 7 for 5 tastings) and the pours were quite generous. The owner happened to be our server and provided us with some great education and was happy to answer all of our questions. We had only hoped we were prepared for taking a bottle on the flight home with us!

This was our third stop on our wine-crawl. My husband and I were shocked to find that this little winery was located in a residential neighborhood in a house! We walked inside and were directed to the tasting room. There were many wines available for tasting. $ 7 for 5 tastings! The pourer asked me what types of wines I enjoyed. I told her I like my dry reds. She hooked me up with a variety of on-par wines. My husband and i took advantage of the outdoor seating. They had a cute little porch and tables outside in the front yard, along with a a few picnic tables. Luckily it was a nice day outside because if it was rainy or cold, there would be no seating inside. The lady who poured the wines, sometimes forgot to tell us what wines were trying. This made it difficult for me to know what I liked and what I didn’t. There was also not a description of the wines, so I did not know what I was tasting in terms of fruit. I also wanted to know more about where each wine was made and what wines were specifically Homestead wines. If they had a bar area inside with seating and more information about the wines they were serving, this has the potential to be a five star winery.

The staff was friendly and very informative of their wines and wine in general. Great learnings! I had the red wine tasting and enjoyed the homestead red/great Pinot blend. Very smooth body. The Cabernet was also delicious with bold Flavors. We will definitely be back!

I turned to Unilocal to look at the local winery reviews in Grapevine so I could have an outing with my boyfriend. Homestead actually ended up being our third winery we stopped by and I was completely shocked. By the reviews I thought this was a good place but I felt like our business wasn’t wanted. When we walked in immediately you could feel that we were being rushed. During our wine tasting I felt like each wine was being poured down our throats, and I would expect this if it was super busy but there was our party and two other groups so I was totally confused. I almost didn’t even finish my four wine tastings because I was over the place. Never going back because of this bad service :(

I look forward to getting to Homestead Winery every time we do a Grapevine Wine Trail. The employees there are total characters and are obviously passionate about the wine they sell. My favorite is the older gentleman, who always suggests a «journey» of wine tastings. He is always spot on in his role as a tour guide of delicious wines. We went to the Sweetheart Wine Trail and they were featuring a wine we hadn’t had before — Chocolate Rose. Holy crap. If you could take chocolate pudding and make it alcoholic, this is the magic that would be created. We’ve tasted lots of their wine, but this is the first bottle we were compelled to buy on the spot. Love the location, the people, and the wine. I’ll definitely be visiting again for a tasting before the next Wine Trail!
