Quest Diagnostics

I wish I could give them zero stars. The staff was entirely unprofessional. I walked in to no one at the front desk. Then, a male staff member’s cell phone starts blaring a great Michael Jackson jam and he comes running from the back to answer it, pauses in silence and looks at me, looks at the phone, then goes to the back! Shortly a female comes and escorts me to the back, I fill out brief paperwork and she asks me if I fasted for 10 hours. I told her I fasted for 6 as my doctor instructed me. She proceeds to get IRATE with me and hands me a cup to pee in. I tell her I already did that at the doctors office — she said no matter, do it again (presuming they billed me for this when I really didn’t need it, too). Was scared the blood draw might be a continued horrible experience, but it was excellent — one of the less painful I’ve experienced, and I’m out the door. 28 days later my doctor has not received the results… come to find out, QUEST CAN’T FIND THEM!!! THEY CLAIM TO HAVE NO RECORD OF ME BEING THERE. However, they found the time and effort to bill my insurance for $ 500 and my insurance paid them several weeks ago! Now, they won’t talk to me since I was referred by my doctor, and my doctor says it’s not their problem either maybe I should go get blood drawn again? At $ 500??? I downloaded the cheesy Gazelle app on my phone in hopes to get connected with the lost results, but app says I have to now wait 3 to 4 more days and that’s IF they locate it. Do not ever go here. Go to a different location even. I will try and steer clear of all Quest from now on. Aside note, my daughter had her physical last week same doctor, her blood drawn at LabCorp cause she has good insurance, and has already received the results from our doctor, so I don’t think this is the doctor’s office issue. In fact, they said they often have problems with Quest. Just my luck. Aetna, please take a clue. Value doesn’t mean quality.

It sounds kind of creepy to be giving a place that draws your blood 5 stars, but they deserve it, so I am. I have been here more times than I can count, and each time there is never a wait to be poked. They keep the place adequately staffed for walk ins which is the majority of their patients. In addition, the staff who poke you are nice, friendly and professional, which is more than you can ask for when you are at the mercy of the needle they are holding. The turn around time for the results to get to your doctor has always been quick for me. They even decorate the office for the holiday’s.
