Hotel guests beware, esp. those parking vehicles long-term and flying out of nearby DFW. There is a history of vehicle(catalytic converters from SUVs) thefts that management has done little to deter. On 12 Jan 2016, I ret’d to the property from DFW after four days to discover the catalytic converters(over $ 500 to replace) missing from my SUV. Long-term parkers are directed to park in the most remote area of an expansive parking lot — «we’d like guests to be able to park close to the property» — that is not well-lit at night, has NO security cameras, and occasional patrolling by a security guard. Hardly a deterrent. My SUV was also parked away from adjacent vehicles, facilitating the thieves’ quick work. Just ignore the front desk’s request to park«at the front of the parking lot» & park CLOSE to the hotel’s front entrance. Hope they won’t tow your long-term parking vehicle… better yet, avoid this Marriott. Or park at DFW or another long-term lot. Marriott Customer Service and the general mgr were, understandably and unsurprisingly, unsympathetic to my plight.

Patrick is the best! I love places with courteous, accommodating bartenders, and he tops the charts!

When making reservations I decided not to stay at one of the near larger hotels since we were planning to attend a high school graduation and get some relaxation. This new hotel has it for us with a restaurant and large pool. This building actually contains two hotel chains where one side is TownePlace Suites and the other Courtyard, but both share same amenities. Finding this place was easy for I knew it was near the Bass Pro Outlet store. Lots of surface parking and checking in was fast and easy. Throughout both lobbies you can purchase drinks and snacks and charge it to your room. Free breakfast is provided on the TownePlace side and had the basics along with egg and potatoes. Free coffee is also provided. The room was basically a mini suite with a small kitchenette. Lots of outlets and a nice view of Grapevine Lake. The TV was tiny but ok. Everything in the room worked. The bathroom was fine two but the drain cover kept coming off and looked like it needed to be screwed back in. After checking in we put on our swim gear and headed to the pool where towels were provided and easily found a place to sit. The pool is big but does not have a spa. After relaxing at the pool, we got cleaned up and ate at the restaurant on the Courtyard side. Our meal was very good and had great service. This hotel is on the flight path for DFW and planes are low and loud, but you would never know inside where you cannot hear them. This leads to a quiet night in our room. There is also a van service for both the hotel and City of Grapevine where it can take you to done local destinations so you do not feel trapped if you do not have a vehicle. Overall we had a great stay and most likely stay here again.

There are 2 parts to this review: Part 1: I would give 0 stars if I could for the late night check in. We found the hotel’s service and communication skills atrocious. We called the hotel upon arrival at the airport after arriving late due to delays to ensure the shuttle was still running. I was informed that the shuttle was en route to the airport and runs only once every 30 minutes. Apparently there is NOWAY to reach the shuttle driver to confirm a location or ETA at your terminal but was ensured someone was en to route and would arrive shortly. We called the hotel numerous times when the shuttle did not show up only to be told the same thing and that they couldn’t communicate with the driver. After 45 minutes of waiting in 30 degree weather, we called yet again to find that the shuttle was at the hotel! He reached us in 10 minutes after that point. Obce we got in, surprise surprise the driver had a pager and was being paged as to where passengers were waiting the duration of the ride. W.t.f. Absolutely disgusted at the lack of service and blatant lies to guests. Note to management: please work on your late night staffs communication skills and hospitality, the last thing a guest wants after arriving at midnight is to wait for an hour for a shuttle to come with no idea when it might actually arrive. Part 2: the hotel itself is brand new, comfortable, with a great morning breakfast. Oh, and it’s pet friendly! I had a hard time staying angry once we arrived. Having stayed in dozens of hotels across the country, this was a great find at a very affordable rate. 5 stars for the hotel itself and breakfast. Also, its worth noting that the morning shuttle service had none of the issues of the after hours shuttle. If you do take a late night shuttle I’d recommend ensuring they have your gate # and ask for a. commitment ofln arrival time. Or just take a lyft.

This was one of the most pleasant hotels I have ever stayed at. It was a serene location, it was new, had a full kitchen, friendly staff, and super clean. It was like a nice retreat coming from a big city.

Marriott has cheapened this brand. Compared to the Lewisville, TX Townplace Suites, the room has only one poorly designed closet, the sink and vanity are in the same room as the tub/shower and the sink is so close to the wall when shaving part of your body is in the doorway, the bed is so hard it will probably never wear out, the view is either of a parking lot or high-voltage lines, the luggage cart is very small even for two people and the only warm item for breakfast is oatmeal. Fortunately, the Embassy Suites is just down the road.

This Marriott has been open 1 week and I stumbled upon it. The kitchenette is a full functioning kitchen away from home. I want to go buy groceries and make a 5-course meal. There is a 2-burner stove, large microwave, dishwasher, stainless steel fridge and sink, and more cabinets than I could possibly need. The bathroom is bigger than mine at home and has a large tub/shower combo. The closet is a highlight, in that Marriott partnered with The Container Store to bring travelers a closet system to be envied. There are drawers, rods and shelving. Not your standard hotel closet. There is a large office area with file cabinet and more cabinets, and(for real) a clipboard! The living area has a nice sized sofa and an ottoman that has a hard removable tray – think breakfast in bed. I’m most impressed with the staff of people working here. It did take 5 people to make me a key, but I got a free Sobe lifewater and beef jerky for my «trouble” – which, to these guys, means I waited an extra 2 minutes. There is a breakfast going on right now that I haven’t experienced… so I’ll wrap this up by saying, if they keep this up, I will happily make Towne Place Suites my new Dallas home.
