Pros: — hot water, good shower pressure — in room AC — reasonable prices — relatively friendly service Cons: — room is small, busted my knee multiple times on the footboard trying to get from the door to the bathroom — no continental breakfast — the bed was pretty hard — I found someone else’s dirty sick under a chair when we were doing a room check before checking out All in all not a bad place for the price. Worth the stay.

Great place to stay, rarely have I had such a nice welcome and assistance from a hotel. Was in town for the Black Bear Bicycle tour and she helped me with laundry and loaned me miscellaneous tools for repairs. I’ll go back for sure!

Highly recommend this extremely clean, cozy motel. Friendly service. Great end to our vacation! Thank you! We will be back.

The room was small, the walls and nooks crowded with kitchy décor(think ducks in raincoats), the bathroom is due for renovation… but easily one of the best lodging values in Grayling. Paid $ 50 for single with a full bed(that had just the right firmness for me). The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the surroundings were quiet. Came with a refrigerator, but no microwave. Just one quibble – shades don’t quite cover the windows and light from the porch was in my eyes all night, which is perhaps why I didn’t rest as well as I should have. I likely will return… but with a sleep mask.

This place is now called Motel 72 and was CLEANCLEANCLEAN as their sign says. New mattresses, nice bedding, freshly painted walls, and the whole place smelled like home cooking. Checkin was quick and easy, and there was a fun bar next door with live music. We were only there overnight, but will stay there agin when back in the area.

Clean w/country décor. Adrian wasn’t sure what Unilocal was but she and the lab Jake were friendly. Close to Hartwick Pines state park. $ 65 for a king bed. Satisfactory!

Pointe North is a great change of place to Grayling’s poor chains(Ramada /Days Inn). Prices were reasonable and the location is convenient. The rooms were clean and decorated with a northern Michigan feel in mind. Very basic in terms of amenities(small tv, A/C and fridge) but it did not distract from my stay in the least. Pet friendly as well for another $ 5. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

While passing thru Grayling, MI I stumbled upon a hidden Gem in the Pointe North motel. I travel for a living and this maybe the most unique motel I have ever stayed in. Each room has its own distinct decorative style, and the hall way walls are wonderfully decorated with an assortment of historical news clippings, photos, gift bags, and antiques. But, the best part of the stay is having coffee every morning with the owner Adrian and her beautiful yellow lab Jake!
