Monument Mountain Motel

Clean, comfortable, very friendly. Family owned and operated. My family has been staying at this motel (under different ownership) for forty years or more. They would would be happy to see it in its current shape.

Very comfortable and affordable motel in the Berkshires. The room and bathroom were clean, and the staff is friendly. The owners have updated the rooms. Definitely a good place to stay.

Great find for stop over. It is very clean, the beds were comfortable and provided a fantastic nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This place is fantastic! It looks like a pretty standard motel from the outside, but the inside is as clean and well-​maintained as any mid-​range hotel chain – but for less than half the price! (I heard a rumor that the family that runs this place also runs the brand new chain hotel just behind it, and I’m under the impression that the two properties are furnished and maintained identically.) The owner/​manager was really helpful and accommodating when we arrived a little later than expected (ie, 2 am) and helped us with restaurant recommendations in the area. It’s close to everything in Great Barrington (but what isn’t?) and is conveniently located near the Kmart and the Price Chopper, as well as a couple of restaurants. I definitely recommend this place!

Better than your average Motel 6. Very clean, recently refinished rooms with modern bathroom fixtures, free no-​hassle wifi and super easy check-​in/​check-​out. No frills, but no complaints either.

If you’re on priceline (or whatever your hotel site of choice is) and your mouse is hovering over Monument Mountain Motel then you’re a cheap SOB who doesn’t want to pay for a decent place. No worries though, there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s how I wound up spending the night there.
There is nothing wrong with this place. It’s a cheap, no frills type of motel and in a good location to explore the Berkshires. The place was very clean, including the spotless bathroom.
Get a room here, get a good night’s sleep, take the $ 40 you’re saving not staying in a real hotel, and buy yourself something pretty.

What a sweet little motel! It is utilitarian for sure, but it is very clean and quite comfortable. For the price, it is a deal. The beds are very comfortable. I just want to reiterate that we did not find a single speck of dirt. The bathrooms are spotless.
The innkeepers are very kind and accommodating, and even offered to move us to a bigger room (we were perfectly happy with the one we had). The free wireless was a great bonus, and there was free HBO and other premium channels available on the television.
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable little motel in Great Barrington, stay here!
p. s. we did not have a chance to try the pool, but I am sure it is kept clean and tidy like the rest of the establishment.
