Come here whenever I come home to my family’s. Clean, neat, and polite. I came once when star spa was too busy and haven’t gone back to star spa since. They wax my legs and they are the smoothest ever. They do my pedicure and my feet are astounding. My gel manicure is dope. Ask for Tina, she’s the best, but have yet to have someone who’s work was done poorly. And they take credit cards now.

I came here for a Brazilian wax last week and had the worst experience. First I was taken to a room in the basement. The lady, Cindy, was nice and chatting with me so I’m relaxed in the bed. When the wax was almost done I looked up to see that she’s been using the same stick the whole time to get the wax!!! What’s worse is that I noticed she wasn’t even wearing gloves!!! Before we started the wax she was doing someone’s pedicure and touching their feet. So nasty!!! During the wax, Cindy tell me she has so many clients and she’s been doing this for so many years. She says she has clients coming from the city to see her. I used to get my Brazilian in the city and it was super clean and professional. I don’t know who in the right mind would come back to this place… It is just down right disgusting!!!

I usually go to Star Spa on Bond but they were very busy so I ventured over to this place. I had a spa pedicure(it had been a particularly rough day) and a manicure. It was cheaper than the other place and they did a decent job. My bill came to $ 50 and when I tried to give them a credit card, they said they didn’t take credit cards. I think it’s ballsy to not take credit cards(a few of the very cheap places are cash only, but they are a fraction of the price). In addition to not taking credit cards, there is absolutely NO sign anywhere indicating that the place is cash only. I told the woman doing my nails that if that was the policy, I would schlep out to an ATM and return with cash after my nails were dry. She nodded in agreement. After my nails were dry, I told her I would be right back with cash. She demanded that I leave my ipad as collateral. I assured her that because I am not a fucking moron, I was not going to leave a $ 600 appliance in an effort to assure her that I would return with less than 1⁄10 of that in cash(Ooh, math!). I left without paying(because I am the pedicure bandit wanted in 3 states). I KID! Actually, I went to the ATM, returned, reluctantly tipped her 20% because she did a decent job and I am a stellar customer, and shall never return. If she did not showcase her rude level of chutzpah, I probably would give this place 3 stars for service but but niceness counts for a lot with me, and she just wasn’t nice.

It was probably my mistake showing up to the salon about 5 minutes before closing. I couldn’t help it, my hair appointment ran late! They were kind enough to let my friend & I come in for our manicures and pedicures. And that’s about where the niceness stopped. They rushed through the entire process, and they also didn’t listen. I wanted my nails to be rounded in shape, but the woman kept filing/clipping them square. I wound up grabbing a nail file and filing my own nails to get the shape I wanted. They also skipped a lot of the«fun» steps in the mani/pedi process. There was no nice leg rub with lotion, no foot scrub, no hot towels(I got a freezing cold one). I was with my best friend, we wanted to bond and relax, and we were practically shoved out the door. I would have rather they said they couldn’t take us, rather than this experience. When I requested to use a credit card, I got a big sigh in response. «We would prefer cash?» I’m sorry, but that was all I had. And after all that, it cost me $ 23 plus tip — and the polish started chipping the next day.
