I hate to be a downer here, but I can’t say I had a great time at Captains Walk. It started when our friends were told that their Groupon wasn’t good on Saturday nights — which, to be fair, it did say in the fine print — and went downhill from there. The tastings seem insanely cheap, at just $ 3 for 7(seven!) or $ 5 to include their premium selections. However, though they give you a little brochure with descriptions of the wines so you can choose what you want to taste, they don’t have the ciders listed, and since several people were helping us off and on(though they were not at all busy), there was a lot of confusion as to where we were in the progression and whether we could go out of the order in the brochure(they prefer you don’t). Of the 7 wines that I tasted, I only found one or two that I really cared for. We got a cheese and sausage plate as well, and though we got the standard instead of the«artisan» or whatever, it was a pretty blah, supermarket-ish resembling tray. Good for something to soak up the wine, but not anything particularly special. For me, this is a one-time visit kind of place. If you’re really into wine you might get more out of it, but I won’t be back or be looking to purchase any of their wines in the future.

Went here with some friends from out of town for a wine tasting, tour and mid-afternoon snacks. Loved everything about this place. I can honestly say I loved all the wines I tasted and the wonderful women helping us was funny/knowledgeable about the wines. We went on a tour with Ben and he was an outstanding tour guide. The building the winery is in has a really cool history. We ended our trip here sharing the antipasti tray with cherry hard cider for everyone. It was a super fun experience and I highly recommend stopping in.

My family and I visited Captain’s Walk yesterday as part of a winery trail and I was so pleased with their tasting! The staff there is knowledgeable and friendly and even provided history of the building which I found very interesting. They provide an abundance of samples to try and I really enjoyed the maple brown hard cider and look forward to when they can bottle them not in growlers as I live on the West Coast. We plan on ordering wine from them regularly.

I have to add another 5 stars here. We had a few hours to kill in Green Bay today and stopped in. This is a beautiful historical house both outside and what they’ve done with it inside. We sampled 7 of their sweeter wines and were hard pressed to pick a favorite. Usually we find one or two we like at any given winery but here they were all good. We bought a bottle, which was reasonably priced, and ordered a pizza. An extremely nice staff member escorted us upstairs into a private room to enjoy our lunch. The room was decorated like a very comfortable den/library with overstuffed sofas, bookshelves, and a view of the downtown area. The wine was excellent, the pizza was excellent, and the room was excellent. What more can I say? We loved this place.

This winery is adorable! It’s a really interesting old house that has so much character. The staff were incredible nice and I cannot say enough times how cute this place is! The wines were excellent, as evidenced by the fact that we walked out with four bottles. Decently priced. They have outdoor seating as well as inside. They also had advertising for a lot of different events.

We went here while in town for a graduation on the recommendation of a friend. This place is definitely worth coming to! It’s in an old Victorian house, which has been restored and contains a wine cellar, tasting room, event space and lounges. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Wisconsin wines, but they were great! I especially loved the Sauv Blanc and ordered a few bottles. We did the tasting(7 for $ 3.00 — what a steal!) and spent some time talking with the sommelier Paul, who was extremely knowledgable both about wine and history of the area. After tasting, you can enjoy a glass on the porch or in one of the lounges. I wish we’d done this, as we were leaving we peeked upstairs and the rooms are decorated to the period… so cool! Great experience

I loved it here… an old victorian house disguised as a wine bar. You can view the wine-thinga-ma-jig thru some glass in the floor… very impressive. They have a lovely bar top with friendly servers… and upstairs some nice leather chairs and sofas… very comfy. We ran into some other people and struck up a wine induced conversation which is always fun — I tried several types of wine — one of my favorites was some called naughty girl that had a little brandy in it… oh it warmed up my tummy very nicely before the concert that I was heading to… love it love it love it and it was very affordable way to kill some time and have fun…

This is one of the only Wisconsin wineries that does some of the drier styles well. Try the Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese and Merlot – all very tasty. The Cab is pretty good too.(They also offer sweeter varieties, for those who are so inclined). Staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable… especially PJ and Courtney. Price was $ 3 to taste 7 different wines. Really a steal! And I appreciated the high quality Reidel glassware they use for their tastings. I really wish they distributed their wines in the milwaukee area! I’ll absolutely be back for a visit next time I’m in GB!

We stumbled upon this winery while we were in Green Bay on vacation. It was in a cute little house with a pirate captain out front. We walked in and it was busy but it was not too busy. We went to the tasting room and were immediately greeted by an older man and his son. The family runs the winery. We got 7 tastings for $ 5 so it was a great deal. The family was very friendly and we had a lot of conversation about the ciy and its history. I would definitely recommend it and their wine.

Stumbled upon this winery last week at the Tall Ship Festival, so the wife and I wanted to grab a bag of sangria mix. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they offered a 7 sample wine tasting for $ 3. Needless to say we jumped to the opportunity and tried all but one of their wines they had to offer(14 of the 15 total). We fancied their sweeter wines like their Riesling the most. Their staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. Great date night.
