we went here before the Packers/Vikings game on Oct 2, 2014. it wasn’t super busy as we were pretty close to game time, but they cranked out our drink and food orders so we could make the game. granted they didn’t have great beers on tap apart from the seasonal Oktoberfest from Leinenkugels(?), but i would go back for that bacon cheeseburger any day of the week! it was amazing!!! so flavorful and well cooked. yum!!! oh and both of our servers were very helpful and friendly. i would go back and you should go too!

I had to admit, I was going into Fuzzy’s half thinking I’d see the man himself sitting there. And we almost did. Well, at least he was in the same age range. He kind of looked like Fuzzy. Kidding aside… I am torn about how to review this place. We got there around 6:30−7:ish on a Saturday night, and the crowd was sparse and mellow(meaning: old). Not a whole lot of people. $ 2.00 tappers! Friendly bartender! Clean tables! So how come the 1 star? Everything was 5 stars(seriously!) until the karaōke started. 1. REALLYREALLYLOUD 2. Really off key(even the old people got in on the action — a little Tony Orlando & Dawn, anyone?) 3. I lost some of my hearing during the brief time of our karaōke experience at Fuzzy’s The thing that really pissed us off was the undeniably and unnecessarily LOUDNESS of the karaōke. The girls who were running it had it on full blast — to a bar full of about 10 people, tops. They didn’t take the hint when we asked them to turn it down. Then we had the gall(the nerve of us!) to turn one of the gigantic speakers(pointed in the direction of our table, I might add) away from our eardrums. One of the girls actually came back and turned the speaker back towards our table. We left shortly after that. There were several people who stopped in, then turned back out(during the time of our stay) because it was so loud. It was obvious people were complaining about the noise level, but apparently no one cared enough to do anything about it. My advice: go during the daylight hours.(As in, the time when the old people hang out there.) That way you can enjoy the ambiance of the bar and take it for what it is — an old, 60-ish bar, with a lot of cool memorabilia. Very«Green Bay,» and I by no means mean that in a bad way. Unfortunately I’m sure Fuzzy has nothing to do with the obnoxious karaōke or the people running it. It’s really too bad, because otherwise it was a nice place and I was enjoying the random state license plates on the wall. Trust me — otherwise you’ll risk losing your hearing for a day and a half, like I did.

Seriously? No reviews? I go here EVERY year during my annual packer game. Great traditional Midwest Bar & Grill. Friendly staff and a diverse set of clients from former Packers to locals to fist timers. The Fuzzy Burger is to die(possibly literally) for! Grilled bun, ¼ hamburger, cheese, grilled onions, ¼ bratwurst patty, cheese and more onions. OMG!

Sigh. What can I say about Fuzzy’s that so many people haven’t already said? Actually I could say a lot of things, seeing as how none of you have written a review for this great bar, nor have you added any photos. I have taken the liberty of adding some from the internet. To get to know the bar, you need to get to know the man. From Wikipedia: «Frederick Charles „Fuzzy“ Thurston(born December 29, 1933 in Altoona, Wisconsin). He was a key member of the Packers’ offensive line during the team’s glory years under coach Vince Lombardi, when they won five NFL Championships and the first two Super Bowls.» It’s a good time at Fuzzy’s, especially on evenings before a Packer game, and the crowd is of what you would call an «older» demographic. This may seem like a bad thing but it most certainly is not… they’ve got enough charm and friendliness to power a cruise line from here to Hudson Bay. Fuzzy is always around, and although he may not be in very good health these days he will always take the time to say hi. The food is ok, but you don’t go for the food. You go because its Green Bay, and there aren’t many options. And there is a mini-casino across the street. And Fuzzy Thurston is a legend so take the time go to meet him while you have the chance. Fuzzy’s gets five stars because Fuzzy is a five star guy and his friends are five star people too. In forty years be sure to check out«Tauscher’s» in the same location.
