Sarah did a wonderful job with my haircut. I’ve never met someone so knowledgeable and who understood exactly what I wanted. Also, the price is so extremely reasonable.

I really wanted to like this salon, but I just felt disappointed. The salon is beautiful, and looks to have a great amount of services offered. I wasn’t greeted by the receptionist all that warmly, and was never offered tea or water. I have only gone to Aveda salons the last 20 years, and getting a cup of Aveda tea is always step one! They even offer it at the stores in the mall. Anyway, I found my way to the waiting area, which was odd with the big screen tv playing espn. I didn’t have to wait long, and I had a nice interaction with my stylist Alyssa. She was very nice, but not warm and fuzzy. That’s fine. She seems like she has a good sense of cutting and was right down to business. One of the major things that wasn’t done here, which I had never NOT had this, was the head and neck massage with the AVEDA oil before the shampoo. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! She gave a pretty good shampoo and then back to business. After she was done, we went right to the not so happy receptionist. No make up touch up after the cut. Strike 3. I ALWAYS had a little make up touch up after my service at my old salon. I was headed back to work, and counted on the touch up since a lot of my make up was washed off. Makes moving from a different city just that much harder. I left the salon feeling blah, and just disappointed. Not the AVEDA experience I am used to and was really looking forward to. I will try a different AVEDA salon due to this visit.

Absolutely loved my hair cut I got. Aly did it, great conversation, really took her time and made me feel comfortable. Not too too expensive either. I’ll definitely be back.

Alyssa & Alie were great! What a pampering experience — hair to toes;-). Next time I’m in the Big City, I will be back! Aveda is superb product too!!!

I love this salon!!! I live in Florida year round and whenever im home I always make a point to schedule a highlight session with Alyssa. She’s the best! So talented and professional, and has so many trendy ideas. She knows I like to play it safe with my hair but she still adds a trendy touch without going overboard. They are also very reasonably priced and I’ve never had to wait for my appointment.

I’ve only had great experiences at Aura.
Hair:
I have long, thick, wavy hair and it’s a pain to find a stylist who works up to my standards… I’m very picky, I admit it. When my gal in Milwaukee moved to Kentucky I decided, after much research and recommendations, to give Aura a try, Kellie, to be exact. And she. is. phenomenal! I can’t recommend her highly enough. Good conversation and she’ll take your needs and wants into consideration and yet give you a cut and style that also works with your hair type and face shape. My gal in Milwaukee was the first regular stylist I had and I’m not quite used to having someone to chat with and get to know, but Kellie makes it very easy and puts you at ease from the beginning. I’m sure they teach stylists how to ask questions and get clients chatting, and sometimes you just click with someone. I’ve been to salons where the stylists just chat amongst themselves and you feel like you’re interrupting their day just by being there, but Aura has a wonderful staff and ambience and they all make you feel right at home.
Massage:
I received a gift certificate for a massage and the experience was truly decandent. The salon has a relaxing lounge area with fireplace for your consultation and foot soak, private locker rooms where you can shower afterward, and the massage room itself is very private and relaxing, if a bit small (but who cares, you’re only laying down). There are robes and towels for your use and slippers if you forget your own. I had a basic hour-​long massage and felt like a new person.
Pedicure:
Again, I received a gift certificate for a pedi and came in on a weekday when the salon was pretty empty. Kind of a weird, lonely experience, but I’ve only ever gotten mani/​pedis with friends so maybe that’s the difference. Not much to say here — your typical spa experience. Again, they have flip flops if you forget your own. The one different thing they did that I highly enjoyed was a short neck massage and heating pad during your pedi. I felt super relaxed afterward.
Staff:
As I said above, the staff at Aura are amazing — they all make you feel right at home the moment you step in the door. I even came in for product one day and had an odd question regarding ingredients and they all spent about 10 minutes trying to help me find the answer. Sometimes you go into a salon and the staff acts like you’re an inconvenience. Sometimes you go into a salon and you can tell by the cleanliness of the space and chairs that staff doesn’t really care. This place is the exact opposite and I highly recommend, and hope, that your experience is as great as mine have been!

This place is amazing.
I called Aura at 8:30am on Saturday morning and got in for a 9:15am appointment. The hair stylist knew exactly what she was doing and I am in LOVE with my hair for the first time in 10 years. I got a cut with highlights and low lights in red and blonde and it the most beautiful hair cut ever.
I tried Indira in Bellevue and they were horrible for an Aveda concept salon. Aura is the better place to go.
