Best Chinese in town. Great service and portions are generous. Definitely a good bang for your buck.

I knew we needed to try this place after all the good reviews so we stopped in Wednesday night to dine in. Originally the shop was kind of empty but the actual space is clean and has a great ambiance. I had beef noodles(you have a choice of noodles — rice, egg, udon!) and my husband had the beef chow fun. The food surprised us! While the broth with my noodles was a tad too salty, it was loaded with crisp fresh veggies and flavorful beef. The beef chow fun is the best in this area hands down. However I wouldn’t recommend the fried dumplings. Ours arrived a little burnt and the filling tasted old/stale. However we will be back, can’t wait to try more! PS they have Tsingtao beer. :)

Picked up an order last night and it was very good. Sounds dumb but the rice was better than other places. Good food fair prices.

I prefer this Chinese place to the majority of the places in Green Bay. The people that own this place are kind and attentive. The food is outstanding and really high quality. I like the combination options you can get with fried rice, choice of meal(chicken for me most of the time) and an egg roll. For around $ 8 this is a deal and you always have leftovers due to the large portion sizes. If you want some amazing quality at a decent price come to this strip mall jewel in Howard.

A regular stop for our family when we order out. My wife orders the noodle soups every time and loves every bit. I try something different each time and always amazed at the results. I met the owners one time but every time I stop by, they are always working and but take time to say hello, ask how I am doing. I really great place.

I compared ratings around the area and thought this would be a good spot after reading previous comments. I came in with my parents and the service was friendly and quick. The spicy beef dish was good. However, the Kung Pao we ordered was awful unfortunately. The chicken was so rubbery and chewy that none of us enjoyed the dish so we left it uneaten. The Sesame Chicken was alright but extremely bready and covered in sauce, you couldn’t taste the chicken. Overall, I’d say it’s a decent spot but I probably won’t be back.

This is the best Asian food around! Under the batter and sauce, it’s always perfect chicken; never gristly or fatty. Seasonings are excellent, service is friendly, portions are huge, and the prices are great. Geez… wish they were open right now!

First time I ordered spicy szechuan noodle soup it was fantastic. The next time it was awful. Same with egg drop soup. They both tasted like salted hot water and were inedible. Chicken lo mein is still good. Egg rolls and rangoons have gotten so insanely greasy that you need a paper towel to eat them. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place but it is racing downhill to the bottom of my take-out list.

Ordered from here to have it delivered to a nearby hotel(less than 2 miles). First off this took over 45 minutes(not a big deal). It arrived missing my egg roll and drink(okaaaay, not happy but I was hungry). Then when I took my first bite of sesame chicken it was luke warm and that’s being generous. Not to mention most of it was breading… At this point I had to call. Basically all I got from the call was we will refund you your drink and egg roll. I stay in Green Bay quite often… I won’t be getting food from here again.

Sunny’s is in a small strip mall. The décor is more contemporary rather than Oriental. There is booth seating only, no tables. I thought the place was clean and brightly lit. They offer fountain drinks from a self serve fountain, as well as several domestic and imported beers. The restrooms are clean. The menu is typical of most Chinese restaurants. The quality is better than most. I ordered the Szechuan Beef. It came with a side of pork fried rice. The beef was stir fried with carrots, peppers, celery, mushrooms, broccoli, and summer squash. The sauce was sweet and spicy. This was a very good dish. I ordered the lunch size, but got what seemed like a dinner sized portion. The price is reasonable making this an excellent choice for lunch

My Husband and I go to Sunny’s at least once every other week. As far as Chinese food goes, we found a little diamond in the rough we think. The place is always clean and the staff is always ready to take your order. General Tso’s chicken, which is probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere, and my Husband gets the Orange chicken. The portions are great, I always have some to take home and the price is great. We also always get an order of Fried Pot stickers, and they are great, the dipping sauce is dead on perfect. Sometimes if we feel like 9 fried foods… we also order Crab Rangoon, and you get more than enough for 2 people and the dipping sauce they serve with it is great, not used to a dipping sauce with Rangoon. After reading some other reviews, I’ll have to try some noodles, I didn’t realize that was their specialty… LOL, cut me some slack, sometimes I’m slow on the up-take. Never the less, now that I know, I will broaden my horizon’s in the future, and get back to you all… Happy Eating!

Food seems to be a bit hit/miss. Have ordered take-out twice. Chop Suey is tasty but not like what I expected. Chow fun had the wrong noodles according to their menu picture. Chicken and beef dishes were tender and flavorful. Potstickers/dumplings were fantastic, but the sauce provided was a bit bitter. Prices are good. Orange chicken was too dark(over fried) for my liking. The mushrooms in each of the dishes seemed to be a bit on the older side, and not as fresh as I would have expected.

I order carry out once a week as my office is 2 miles from the location. I usually call in my order. Most times they recognize my cell phone number and I don’t need to say anything more than thanks, see you in 10. The staff and ownership is friendly and accommodating. I always order the Hunan Chicken with a slight variation of vegetables. It has always been served consistently. There is also a drive thru which is very handy. My only complaint is that you can’t order a lunch size portion of crab rangoon. My favorite place in Green Bay for Chinese.

I stopped in for take out and got some general tso’s. The food was pretty decent but when I got home and opened it I was a bit disappointed. The portion was pretty spot-on and the chicken was good but there was no no fried rice and no soy sauce, mustard, etc. not to mention it was $ 10 and no egg roll. I gave it 3 stars just because the value was lacking. The food itself was good, however.

I was passing thru Green Bay, hungry and found Sunny’s thru Unilocal. It lived up to its good reviews. The service was very good, the food likewise, and inexpensive. I even got to watch the Nature Channel rather than Fox while I ate, which was a good thing.

Thought I’d give an update to my original review. We come to Sunny’s regularly now from Manitowoc at least a couple of weekends a month because the noodle soups are so good and Joyce the owner is really nice. Our favorite soup now is the King Crab Noodle Soup. It’s the most expensive noodle soup but is definitely worth it. The crab is really fresh and there are a good amount of pieces in it. If you like crab, I would highly recommend getting it. Their beef chow fun is pretty good too and I would recommend that if you’re not into soup dishes.

This restaurant opened over the winter. My favorite Chinese place in town is Mayflower, so I always assume that no other restaurant will match up. I’ve spent enough time at Mayflower over the years(pathetic, I know) to know many of the people working there. When I went into Sunny’s, I was shocked to see one of the girls that had worked at Mayflower. When I asked, she told me that Mayflower is owned by her aunt, and she recently decided to open her own restaurant. She clearly brought some of those secrets with her, because the food was very similar. There were a few things I noticed that aren’t quite the same, and I guess I’d have to say not quite as good. Using whole baby carrots rather than thin-sliced carrots was one difference The menu is not exactly the same — there seems to be more variety, and definitely more focus on noodles. For basically any of the noodle dishes, you can choose the type of noodle — anything from udon to Vietnamese to Korean. I haven’t had a chance to try them yet, but they have a nice selection of noodle soups as well. Overall I’d say that the food has been 9/10ths of Mayflower, which is a really good thing. If you’re in Howard & want Chinese, this is definitely the best option.
