This is my used video game place for certain reasons, the main one being that if I collect enough Speedway reward points I get a free $ 25 gift card. But GameStop ticks me off to no end. I can buy a new video game for $ 60 on Tuesday, sell it back to them on Wednesday for $ 20-$ 30, and on Thursday they’ll be selling the game for $ 55. Games are expensive enough, they can be a little more generous to the folks who support their operation. They’ve cornered a little too much of the market, at one point there were 4 stores within a mile of this location, now that number has dwindled to 2, but this remains my store of choice for specific reasons. One reason is I can usually find what I want, when I want it. They have a ton of stock, and if I can’t find it there the employees are usually happy to find it at another GameStop for me. Speaking of employees, this location has an employee who excels. I wish I can remember this young lady’s name, but she works the day shift on weekdays. I can go up to her, ask her about any game, and in most cases she has a ton of info right off the top of her head, from release dates to gameplay. She truly enjoys her job, and it was evident this trip as I asked her about the DC Injustice game that just came out and she waxed on about how excited she was to get home to play it. I can trust she won’t keep harassing me like some guys in other stores, but if I have any questions she is always eager to answer. I know some reviewers might talk down the discount card, but for a reader like me it’s a good deal. For $ 15, I get their pro card which gives me a 10% discount on preowned games and accessories, points for stuff and a one year subscription to Game Informer magazine which runs for $ 20 on its own. The discounts add up, and I never bother to check my points but I’m sure I have stuff coming. GI is a great magazine, the $ 15 is worth it for the mag alone. Tips for getting cheap games here– *Don’t trade in here, it’s not worth it. But if you must, wait until they have the promotion for an extra 10% on trade ins. *The Speedy rewards card(see above). Gas you gotta buy anyways will earn you a couple free gift cards a year. *Don’t buy a preowned game until its at least a couple months old, if you can stand not playing it for a couple months. All the newer preowned games are $ 55 bucks. *About 2 to 4 weekends a year, they have a buy 2 get 1 free promotion. This is when I stock up on games.

its a uniform gamestop same stuff at each one. annoying staff example i bought a playstation vita used. they wanted me to sign up for some players card for 15 bucks and get points he kept pushing crap. when i only had enough for the system like do you want a memory card screen protector. SERIOUSLYSTOPASKINGME!!! if i wanted it i would of said something… i dont want a players card because your whole store is a huge rip off. 25 bucks for a 4gb card when its 19.98 at walmart. and 12 bucks for a screen cover when its at walmart for 9.98. i mean yeah your trying to make a profit but dont make your customers out like there idiots because were not and thats why we dont shop at your expensive store. i mean im in retail and we have to push things but when a customer says no ITMEANSNO. seriously he kept going and trying to get me into buying crap i didnt need. im like brah you can stfu! i dont have anymore money. then he was hinting around that i should bum like 5 bucks off my girlfriend he didnt hint around it he just gingerly poked at it(did i mention dude was also a ginger) like im not gonna bum 5 bucks off my girlfriend! you want me to buy your over priced goods and make me look like an asshole. i come here casually or maybe once a year because your staff harasses its customers. if i wanted to be alienated and nagged id get married not go to a friggin game stop. TIP. go to mega media xchange they give you higher trade value and they have like every systems game like the real retro ones. atari, nintendo 64, sega, sega dreamcast basically every system you can throw a stick at they have. and will probally have the system you want too. GOTOTHESEPLACESTHERELOCALLYOWNEDANDPAYMOREFORTRADES. and there used game prices are more reasonable. the locations for xchange are (my favorite) 4820 South 76th Street Greenfield (414) 282‑9994 (2 new ones i did not know of i googled for this review) 1709 N.
