Recently I received four gift cards that look like they can used at about 12 chain restaurants so I started with Outback Steakhouse. I admit that I had no plans to ever step foot in here before I received the gift card but I was being a chain snob and I’m trying to break that. The place is large with dim lighting, all the shades down and tons of wood to left me feeling like I was in mid evil times and at any moment a silver chalice would be brought to my table. There is a bar in back if that’s your thing. I saw a couple of flat screens but I was in a dead zone because I could not see any of them. I had a $ 25 gift card to blow so I ordered the 16 oz prime rib so I would have nothing left on the card so I didn’t have to come back, it’s way more than I would normally order but WTF. It comes with two sides of your choice. Ok this is only my second 16 oz prime rib I have ordered in my life because I get the smaller ones and someone is lying to me because this is visually bigger than the last one I had elsewhere. I had no service issues but my server was very flat line compared to the others I could see and hear around me, he must have been prescribed sedatives recently. To my surprise the prime rib looked really good/rare and the leanest with out the big pockets of fat that I’m use to getting served. The whole plate actually looked good, better that I expected for a chain. Let start with the sides for the food review. The mash skin on potatoes were ok but very loose for mash potatoes. My steamed vegetables were weird because each piece had a complete different level of steamed, one carrot had some crunch in it and another was completely soft. The broccoli was the same with no consistency. The squash was all mush no matter what piece I had. I like some crunch left in my steamed vegetables and I’m not going to factor the sides in this review because the sides are my personal opinion of how they should be. To my surprise the 16 oz prime rib was taller than my fork and took up half of the extra large plate, see my pictures. The prime rib had a beautiful crust and so moist and juicy. How would my first be, it cut well with there dull looking weak steak knife. The meat was tender and not a weird chewy piece in any of my bites to my surprise, it’s still a chain in my mind. This did fill my red meat craving and was way better than I expected. The au jus on the side was lacking that good rich/seasoned beef flavor that I get from steak houses but that’s ok because I like naked rare beef, no steak sauce just salt and pepper. Overall the sides were weak but let’s face it when you order prime rib the prime rib has to be the star and it was. I was surprised that the prime rib from this chain was pretty decent and I would definitely try one of there grilled steaks. I really expected a poor showing for prime fib from this chain but they did put out a decent piece of meat and I would get the prime rib again but get different sides.

Once again this place comes through. Meet with my son and daughter in law here. They proceeded to tell the wait staff that it was my birthday. Gage our waiter got the staff to come to the table after our dinner and sing happy birthday to me. My son put on quite a show and the neighboring tables had quite a lagh at him. Thanks to Gage for another great experience at the Outback.

Waiter was nice and the small portion of the chicken quesadillas was very yummy. It was my first time going there and I’d go back.

What a great way to end off my weekend excursion then back at Outback Steakhouse. Food was great. Tried the Blooming Onion Appetizer. Great to have with a group of friends(2 – 3). I had the Porterhouse Steak with Mash Potatoes and Cheese Tortilla Soup. The steak was amazing despite the fact I asked for a medium rare and it came out more medium but the taste made up for it. Overall good meal and good vibes. If there was one thing I would have too say it would be that the Service could be a little morebprompt on getting the food out faster.

Stay aware from their clam chowder –should be called pepper chowder becuz that is all you taste. My husband broke out in a sweat it was so peppery. Ordered signature salad without the dressing it normally comes with but of course it came with the dressing on it along with a side of the dressing i asked for. Will be interesting to see if our entrees are correct — – not a good start!

Went here for lunch today. Arrived around 130, well after the lunch rush. It took 10 minutes to get drinks. Our food(lunch combo, blooming onion, cup of soup, and kid’s grilled cheese) took forever. Our waiter was completely inattentive, he didn’t stop at all while my drink was sitting empty at the edge of the table. He was only serving two other tables of two so I don’t know why it was such an issue. When we got our food, the onion was HOT, but my son’s grilled cheese was ice cold. The cheese wasn’t even melted. The bread was hard as a rock. All in all, with a ton of empty tables our quick lunch turned into an hour and a half nightmare with a toddler who went from being very well behaved to super restless. Definitely will not come back to this location.

They are not staffed to handle a group of more than 5. Mind you are group had reserved for about 15. We waited more than an hour just for a bill. The management is horrible and acted like we were wrong for complaining about our bill being incorrect several times. Me personally will definitely not be returning to this location until they are better staffed and get management with customer skills.

As positively and nicely as I can, I’m going to give a friendly piece of advice to this place. DON’T TREATSINGLEPEOPLELIKESECOND-CLASSCITIZENS. Greeter, I deserve to have a good experience as much as that party of six with two screaming toddlers you put me next to. The view into the opening and closing bathroom doors I was treated to was over the top. NOT! Server(who shall remain nameless), I know you were busy but dont make me wait 15 minutes before taking my drink order. Please don’t call me sir. Notice that I’m a GIRL. Take the pile of coasters laying on my table off and don’t toss the bread(I don’t know is coming at me) over my shoulder like I’m an animal in the zoo. Please also check if I have utensils so I don’t have to yell down the restaurant to get them when you bring my salad. Now let’s talk about my meal — which is more pleasant. I like the fact that Outback had a page of nonalcoholic offerings in its menu and chose the Cherry Limeade. It was pretty and refreshing. The seasoned and seared technique on my steak was good and it was cooked to order. I ordered the premium salad with bleu cheese and candied pecans and liked it — worth the dollar upcharge. My meal ended less dramatically than it started and bottom line I am full and content. I just wish Outback had been a little more attentive. I tend to judge a restaurant on how well it treats me when I fly solo. This place just didn’t make the cut. :-(

Tried the ½ ribeye sandwich and salad. The ribeye sandwich was small I mean slider small. Not worth the price.

Also ordered the volcano shrimp and lobster bites– so full of sauce you couldn’t even taste the seafood. Ordered the prime rib for dinner with a side of a baked potato– to say the least the potato was the best thing on the plate. Very disappointed– years ago they were so much better– quality is really lacking. Service was fantastic though. Our waitress, Tiffany G, was amazing and very attentive especially because she was one of only 2, for a packed house. The bathrooms have 4 stalls and only the last stall was useable the restroom was disgusting. It’s not like we came late on a Saturday night– it was 4pm! Shameful!

We came here last night to eat and we were very disappointed. The service was terrible in between our appetizer we had to wait 15 minutes for our steaks. We had a salad and they put the salad dressing on very sparingly I like to put my own on. The waitress was running all over. The check was $ 60.00 for 2 of us. They are very over priced, we will not be back. C.S. west Allis

As a family out for my birthday dinner(which my son paid for), we read all the reviews and figured we’d try it out. Never again. The baked potatoes were undercooked and 2 of the steaks were not cooked properly and were strangely cut. My son ordered it as rare as possible and he got medium rare and my husband ordered medium rare and his came well done. We also ordered the tuna platter and it came on a huge plate with a tiny bit of salad under the tuna and thin tiny little pieces of tuna — not quite worth $ 12.00. Our waiter couldn’t even get the desert right. All-in-all it was a very disappointing, expensive meal for the quality and quantity of food. If you are looking for a nice experience and steaks worth the money, you won’t find it here.

I went there with the girlfriend last night. Server was a young guy named nick h, according to the bill. He was a really good dude, made quite sure that i got my whipped cream for my hot chocolate, was very attentive to our orders, and was sociable and laughed with us as well. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, able to multitask very well as he cleaned dishes off of our table, walked off with them, then came back to kindly tend to the request to another customer who bluntly yelled after him. Probably the most astonishing thing was how he took it upon himself to bring out another sirloin and side of fries, free of charge, when he noticed my girlfriend was unsatisfied with her dish. She was starving, so she said she would eat it anyway. It seemed clear she wasnt satisfied, so nick got the second sirloin, properly cooked to order, and surprised her with it and even included the free second side as well. None of this was asked of him. He just did it. Never seen somebody in this field go that far above and beyond before. Outstanding.

The food was a bit spicy, they need a few more workers. Our waiter was never around and when he was he took forever!!! But it was rush hour so we were patient. Other then that good place to dine.

Visited this location for the first time in maybe 10 years. I had a giftcard given to me recently so I decided today was the day. Arrived at 2pm and 90 percent of the restaurant was empty. The hostess gave us no greeting whatsoever and led us to our table after a few minutes. We asked for a booth and I guess it must be difficult to choose one of 15 empty booths? Our server Mitch came to our table and had the personality of a door knob. I understand if you hate your job and all, but at least have a personality and make me want to give you a nice tip. All he said was do you want something to drink. After waiting 25 minutes our food arrived. Steaks were really fatty and the shrimp was not good. Instead of going to Outback, take your money elsewhere. It felt like going to a McDonalds. At least they greet you there.

Overpriced and boring. Steaks are tough and even the rib eye lacked flavor just a lot of fat. We had a large party and for the most part our server was terrific. It’s just that my Outback experience of 15 years ago compared to current– leaves a lot to be desired.

I love, love, love the Bloomin’ Onion! This is a must as a starter whenever I go to Outback Steak House. The steaks are always perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. For a change in scenery/experience try sitting at the bar. The bartenders are all friendly and helpful. This has been my go-to seating option for a while now.

My experience on my visit to this location was OK. the server was friendly, the food was delicious basically it was an average. The front end manager came around to introduce himself and asked us how things were, a nice touch from management. This location was a little hidden from the norm. It wasn’t really that busy. There were several promotions going on so I opted to get the steak and lobster which was going for $ 14.99 delicious and of course the appetizer blooming onions. If you haven’t downloaded the outback 365 app yet on your iOS device, do it. We got our blooming onions for free just by downloading the app. Overall my experience here was a 3 star. If in the neighborhood of 76th st check it out.

I’ve been to Outback Steakhouse a few times, and I have always had a decent experience. The staff is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, with a nice bar area. The tables and chairs are made with a dark wood, and the colors of the walls tend to be dark, so the restaurant has the appearance of not being super well lit, especially if you’re there at night. But I can overlook that, since the food is good :-) To start out, you will be brought a loaf of their signature whole wheat bread with butter. It’s easy to fill up on that before your meal comes, if you’re not careful. Their menu has a decent variety to choose from. One item that I especially like are the Aussie Fish tacos. It comes with three blackened fish and is covered with slaw, pico de gallo, melted cheese, and a herb aioli sauce(love the sauce!). You can also get the tacos with steak or chicken. If you’re in the mood for steak, they have very nice cuts of meat, and the steaks are cooked to your liking. If you have room for desert, they have several tasty options. I recommend the classic cheesecake. You can get it topped with either chocolate or raspberry sauce. Mmmmm. Outback has a list of specialty drinks, wine and beer to choose from to compliment your meal.

I don’t often go to chain restaurants, but it was a late weekday evening and my girlfriend and I just picked the first place we saw. We’ve been to Outback in the past(different states) and it has been decent, nothing to write home about but not terrible either. That being the case, I think that this particular Outback was one of the better ones I’ve been to! When we arrived, the place was maybe half full so we were seated right away. Patrick B was our server, and he was quite awesome. I don’t normally call out individual servers, but Patrick was outstanding. He was attentive to our pace(some people take forever to order, some know exactly what they want, etc…), very knowledgeable on all the products, very polite, and genuine. The food was good and arrived fast. The atmosphere was nice and very clean as well. I may not rush to get back here, but I definitely won’t turn down going here either!
