There are not a lot of nursery options in Hancock County but I would strongly recommend going to Frady’s(located on US40 and 700 W) rather than spending your time and money at Wells. First of all this place offers limited options and higher pricing than Frady’s or Home Depot. However the real reason I avoid this place like the plague is the horribly rude customer service I received the last time I went in there. I came in around mid April looking for some outdoor plants and they only had half of the store open stating it was too early in the year to offer full service. The lady I spoke with dismissed my questions advising ‘I’m busy setting this section up and don’t know what to tell you’. I have never felt put off by Frady’s as they are always helpful and their flowers and plants look healthier and are more affordable.

Just a short drive for East siders to get the green on. Wells is comparable with better quality and more choices than some overpriced local nurseries. + Annuals, rows of commonplace and not so common yearly grown flowers + Perennials, good stock and well taken care of. We’re ‘growing’ a xeriscape in one corner of the yard and found different varieties of the ice plant. A plus on the quantity and options to liven up the landscape. We didn’t make it to the shrub and tree area. If the quality is like the flowers and other plantings, I see a 5 star addition to the review. You ‘rock’ Wells!
